i have installed demo 2, how can i use the slideshow in demo 1 with banners on demo 2 please. thanks in advance
You can configure the Slideshow to look like in any of the demos. Please see instructions in 11. Slideshow in the user guide PDF.
I created third store view, but why all pages appearances stretch in both sides, left and right. I ve already tried to flush the cache, enable/disable strecth main menu with no luck. Previously, I created second store view also came up with this, but suddenly without awareness, the page width came back to normal. What should I do?
It’s just that after creating new store view (or after changing the store view code), you will need to re-save theme settings (clicking Save Config button) in System > Configuration > Ultimo > Theme Design and in System > Configuration > Ultimo > Theme Layout. Otherwise design/layout settings will not be applied to that new store view. After that, flush all caches and clear your web browser’s cache.
I wanted to add a search function to my 404 page. Is this something that can be accomplished through the theme settings?
Unfortunately there is no such feature in Magento, you would need to customize Magento to achieve this.
Hi Infortis. Sorry, one last question … I’ve seen this been asked some months back, and I just want to check with you if Equal Height setting on the product slider has been addressed in the latest version? I don’t see any mention of it in the guide under 6.1.4
Unfortunately not yet. We’re planning to make some thorough update of sliders in near future so this feature will be implemented in that update.
Ok, no worries. I’ll see what I can do to get it working using your code for the product category grid
I’ve been seeing the layouts submitted by you, and it has the add to cart ajax (I think) and before thinking of buying, I wonder if you’ve even added .. Another detail is in the layout, not like when options are down below, away from the product they are buying .. I like as shown in the layout of you, next to the main photo.
Waiting for a response,
As you can see in the demo on product pages, the product options can be placed at the die of the product main photo. Product options can be also displayed below the main photo (this optional, you can choose this in admin panel).
How can I place the ‘Sign Up – Login – My Wishlist – My Account in the top bar and remove from the header?
Thanks in Advance!
….and remove the ‘All demos- Features- Buy me!’ links from the Top Bar
Please refer to the user guide, chapter
7.9 Default Magento blocks -> Top Links
Blocks at the top bar are just static blocks and you can disable them or change their content.
All available static blocks (custom content placeholders) are described in the user guide, chapter 6.2 Built-in CMS blocks.
I use the template and everything goes well, except the slideshow is not right in postion. (when make the frame bigger or smaller) i tried everything in the manual, but still it keeps not good shown. The site is found at nieuwe-websites.nl/bp
You enabled full-width slideshow. So in this case please disable the block with small side banners and use bigger image for your main slides. Or simply disable the full-width option.
All configuration details can be found in the user guide:
Thank you very much, now it works well,
want to buy but what will be website speed, website should open within 3 sec or max 4 sec..
but now i am checking with without frame link its taking 8 sec which is very slow, so please make sure the speed or optimize required
i need same theme which showing in live demo with same layout and navigation
Please solve all my question so i can proceed for purchase..
2. After installation you can import with one click all the color settings from any of the 6 demos.
You can also install the Quick Start Package which is an exact copy of our demo site. It contains all the settings and products from all demos so you can check there every single detail of the configuration.
I’m very new to Wordpress and themeforest. I have purchased the theme and I’ve tried to uploaded it with no success. Every time I try, I get the message “style.css stylesheet”. Any idea? I’ve even tried unzipping the file and adding different folders that I compressed to zipfiles. Thank you for the help and really looking forward to using this theme.
I’m sorry but Ultimo is a theme for Magento (see more details), not for Wordpress.
The “Details” scrollover in our minicart – would it be possible to display this on our Shopping Cart page and in our Checkout review?
I’m hoping it could be as simple as copying the code and putting it in the right place, but thought I’d check with you before I start digging around.
1) Is it possible?
2) If it’s possible, is it simply finding the code in sidebar/default.phtml or is it handled between multiple files?
I’m sorry but I’m not sure what you mean by “Details scrollover”, please clarify your question.
When you want to customize a theme in Magento, you can display the name of template file of every block in the front-end by enabling the “Template Path Hints”. This way you can easily check which template files you need to edit to customize specific sections of Magento. Please see this short video tutorial for more details: http://vimeo.com/1067069
More details about theme customization can be found in the user guide: 5. Customization
The “Details scrollover” I was referring to is shown in this image – and I would like to add it to my Checkout Review like so – . This will allow us to show customers exactly what they’re purchasing at every stage, otherwise the “Review Your Order” doesn’t display any Custom Options.
I’ve used template path hints to find that it’s handled in template/checkout/cart/sidebar/default.phtml, just not sure if the code handling it will work on it’s own in another location…?
Unfortunately I’m unable to advise on Magento modifications, I’ve never made this type of change.
I added the instagram icon to the social icons sprite. Copied the new file to my subtheme in skin/frontend/ultimo/tafelzeilonline but still the default sprite is used. What am I doing wrong?
In CSS files path to images are relative to the CSS file. Original CSS file doesn’t point to your new image so you probably also need to copy the CSS file to your sub-theme.
That was what I thought. But both icons-social.css and sprite-icons-social.png are in the same subtheme folder…
I’m sorry! Working now.. Thanks for the quick response
Thanks for the answer.. I already read everything, and my only doubt is about when adding a product to cart, i liked when it’s exactly the same of yours layout, it’s simple, doesnt pop-up nothing, and the buyer’s still in the page… is it in the theme? And if not, how we can make like yours examples… This is so important feature for me!
“when adding a product to cart, i liked when it’s exactly the same of yours layout”
After installation of Ultimo your store will work and look exactly like you see it in our demo. I apologize, but I’m not sure I understand your question correctly (so please let me know if I misunderstood).
(And please reply below your comment, don’t create new threads, otherwise it’s hard to track the conversation)
I love this theme. However, just recently (I did do a system rollback.) the featured products slider is no longer working. It started to load only one, then tried reinserting the code and it broke loading long text lists. And now it just loads one title. www.ordergunsafes.com
Further investigation shows weird behaviors. When I only have 1 slider up it seems to work fine. Root categories aren’t displaying however.
It seems like only certain categories are having issues.
There can be multiple Feature Product sliders on a single page, but please make sure you don’t display the same category in two or more sliders.
If you have issues after rollback (and didn’t have problems before), then something must went wrong during that rollback.
For now everything on your site works fine, I’m not sure I understand your issue description correctly, please clarify.
It seems like the issue only happens when I display 2 categories that share products. OR a level 1 category.
If this causes the issue then this is not related to the theme. By default sliders can show products form any category. And as it worked fine previously, then it should also work fine now, so you must have some other issues in your installation.
I added a 30px top border in custom.css. I would like to place text on top of that, essentially using that border as a colored background. Can this be done through a setting in the theme? If not, can you direct me to what part of css I could achieve this? I cant tell through Firebug unfortunately.
If you need something like this: http://ultimo.infortis-themes.com/demo/fifth/ – a black bar at the top of the page – then this can be done through admin. You can use built-in static blocks in the header: 6.2.1 Header
Hi, seems a nice theme. Is there any plans to add the fixed menu at scrolling?
Thank you. Yes, we’re planning to implement it in July.
I want to display a 3 column image table on my home page but I need the content to sit flush with the menu bar at the top, how can I achieve that?
My page is here:
I apologize, but I don’t understand the question, your banners are already aligned with the menu.
Hi, how can I implement the slideshow with the 3 small banners on side for the Demo 2?
hi, still a problem with the sidebar menu. It works fine on the English part of the site, but on the Netherlands part it’s not shown. I read chapter 13.4.5, but could find how to active this sidebar menu also on the dutch.
An other thing is that when i change form language i go to the homepage, but then for example the slideshow is not showing, maybe this something to do with it? site nieuwe-websites.nl/bp
In Magento each option in System > Configuration and all blocks and pages can be configured individually for each store view. So if the menu is not visible in one of your store views (e.g. Dutch) then probably you just didn’t enable it for that store.
Besides I see your sidebar menu in both store views so the menu works fine.
In the Dutch tore view on home page Slideshow doesn’t have the side banners so this means you didn’t enable it for that store view.
Thanks for the answer. Menu works fine now in both, Still there is problem when i change from English to dutch, or visa versa. Then i go to the homepage, but then there is no slideshow. It only works frome home english to home dutch or visa versa. Still idea for this? Thanks in regards.
I’m sorry but I don’t understand what is the problem. All looks fine on your page, please clarify your question.
please go to the site and go to a submenu item (for example to ”>news” or ”>nieuws”) then change above from country (to “Nederlands” if you’re on news or “engels” if you’re on the “nieuws” page.) You go to the home page, but here is missing the slideshow. If you now click on the logo you see the homepage how it should be.
Hope i clarify the question with this? Otherwise let me know.
This is all not theme related. It looks like you configured your home page incorrectly.
I did what you said:
“please go to the site and go to a submenu item (for example to ”>news” or ”>nieuws”) then change above from country (to “Nederlands” if you’re on news or “engels” if you’re on the “nieuws” page.)”
And after you change the country you’re still on the “Nieuws” page (see the URL in your browser, it’s still http://www.nieuwe-websites.nl/bp/nieuws.html ). Not on home page. But the content of the page is:
The BalancePlanet© will be launched by Reijers Kaartproducties BV in september 2014.
The BalancePlanet© is a 3d world globe with a diameter of 30-31 inch.
It portrays the entire world in a colorful fashion and with a high attention to detail.”_
So it’s something not working correctly in your Magento. Why it displays content of the home page while you’re still on the “Nieuws” page? Switching language shouldn’t redirect you to the home page.
Please check this chapter in the user guide for some more details about home page configuration in Magneto: 6.1 Home page For more details please refer to Magento documentation as this issue is not related to the theme.
thanks for the comments!
Hello, I tried to activate the footer for a multistore. I added two static blocks with the same identifier, each activated for respective frontend. It does not seem to work as only one footer (language) shows across all store views. I tried recaching and reindexing.
In Magento you can create many versions of the same block (each version for different store view). This is Magento’s core functionality, it’s not related to the theme.
If you have two languages (two store views), for example, English and German:
create two versions of the static block, with the same ID (use Ultimo’s built-in blocks if you want to display those blocks in the footer, see chapter 6.2.2 Footer in the user guide).
Then, assign each block to a different store view – one to English store view and the other one to German store view. Finally, don’t forget to flush the cache. Thanks to that, one version of that block will be displayed only when you’re in the German store view, and the other one will be displayed only when you’re in the English store view.
Please refer to Magento documentation for details, for example: http://www.magentocommerce.com/wiki/4_-_themes_and_template_customization/catalog/welcome_to_the_magento_user_s_guide . More references can be found in our user guide:
Help & Support
Yes, I did it exactly that way, it still does not work.
You must have an error somewhere, please double check everything. Creating multiple blocks for languages is Magento functionality, it’s not related to the theme.
I started designing the store in English but now need to change it to Spanish as the default. I followed the instructions in the documentation but now when i switch to Spanish the whole store view changes. How can i have it keep the same view and just change the language.
After creating new store view (or after changing the store view code), you will need to re-save theme settings (clicking Save Config button) in System > Configuration > Ultimo > Theme Design and in System > Configuration > Ultimo > Theme Layout. Otherwise design/layout settings will not be applied to that new store view. After that, flush all caches and clear your web browser’s cache.
Now Spanish is coming up as the default but its still a new store template. All the work that ive done on the English site doesn’t show on the Spanish.
You’re probably changing your settings in the wrong scope (please see the “Current Configuration Scope” switcher in the top left corner of this section of admin panel).
E.g. you’re selecting colors for the “Default Config” but all those settings are overridden on website level or on store view level.
Note that scope of Magento configuration has three levels:
“Default Config” > Website > Store view
Settings of a store view override settings of a website
and settings of a website override settings of the “Default Config”.
I still cant figure this out. Please look at my site:
I was able to set the default to Spanish but none of the Spanish text that I uploaded is appearing. Also the store view between English and Spanish are still different. If you toggle to the English version that’s what I need the Spanish page to look like.
1. Store view between English and Spanish are different because you have different configuration for both store views in System > Configuration You’re probably changing your settings in the wrong scope, use the “Current Configuration Scope” switcher in the top left corner of this section of admin panel to select a store and then configure it. When you finish,m flush the cache.
2. Not quite sure what you mean by “none of the Spanish text that I uploaded is appearing”. Where did you add that text?
Setting languages and language specific content is not theme related in any way.
In Magento you can create many versions of the same block (or CMS page), each version for different store view. If you have two languages (two store views), for example English and German:
create two versions of the static block (with the same ID). Then, assign each block to a different store view – one to English store view and the other one to German store view. Finally, don’t forget to flush the cache.
Thanks to that, one version of that block will be displayed only when you’re in the German store view, and the other one will be displayed only when you’re in the English store view.
OK, the store now looks like the English version but all the text is the same. I followed the steps in the documentation under chapter 4.9 to translate certain text but nothing is changing. I need to have the all the shopping cart text in Spanish. How can I do this? Also the Main Categories title text needs to be in Spanish but I cant find it in any static blocks. Please advise.
If changes in translation files don’t take effect then there is some mistake on your end. E.g. your translation file is not correct (e.g. your editor broke the CXV file structure). Or your Magento cache was not fully refreshed.
Hi, do you offer a service where I could pay to have certain issues fixed. Please let me know as i need immediate help on some areas.
OK, i got the translation working the only thing i need now is to translate the left sidebar title that says “Main Categories”. When I select my home page, click design, and then set the layout to 2 columns with left bar, its that left bar title that i need to edit and cant find anywhere.
This (sidebar menu title) can be translated directly in menu settings in admin.
