I downloaded the demo plugin, and uploaded the demo ‘Agency’ from the Vela theme. All was fine until I click on ‘Save Changes’. Then I get this error: “WordPress has a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email. In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Wyde Core.” What should I do?

Sure, here’s what I get:

There seems to be an invalid setting values in the theme settings. Try clicking the “Reset All” button in Theme Options to see if it works.

I’m trying to update the PHP version 8.0 from 7.4 but the site goes black, how can I do this update? is there a PHP version 8.0 version of the theme or is there a solution? please help!

Wyde Author

I apologize for the problem you’ve been facing with our theme. We will include the new update of Redux Frame work in the next version of Wyde Core plugin to fix this issue.

Any idea when the next version will be ready?

Wyde Author

We’re working on it and will release the new update in a couple of days. Thank you for your understanding.

Hi, I have done a manual update of the theme, but I have a problem with visual compose. In particular, in the previous version of the theme, the visual composer (updated to 7.0) doesn’t give me problems with the accordition module, and the string:

vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1579968179260{margin-top: 40px !important;margin-bottom: 0px !important;border-top-width: 0px !important;border-bottom-width: 0px !important;padding-top: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px ! important;}”vc_tta_accordion style=”modern” shape=”square” spacing=”5” active_section=”1” no_fill=”true” title=”TRAINING INTERVENTIONS”[vc_column_text] etc.”

Work fine

Instead, with the updated version of the theme, it is not recognized as it does not make all the customizations created available and, consequently, does not work

Is there any way to solve the problem? Purchase codes 1c45b3e5-7a0c-4547-91e8-a22f40d555cf

Hi, thank you for reaching out and providing me with the detailed information.

Actually, there are 2 accordion elements in WPBakery Page Builder.

The one you mentioned was added into WPBakery Page Builder 4.6 in 2015 but with the same name “Accordion”, that could lead to misunderstanding so we decided to use only one version and disabled the new one.

However, I have no idea why you can use that new version in the theme as it was disabled by the theme update since 2015. There may be a compatibility issue with the theme version you were using previously or maybe you updated the WPBakery Page Builder plugin separately but did not update the theme.

Anyway, to fix this issue, you will need to remove that accordion with the shortcode you mentioned and then add a new one that is available in the Elements window instead.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.

Ok… Thank you

Hi there. I’ve received a project with an old version of your theme, version 1.9. I’d like to update this site with the latest version. The site used a child theme for updates. Do you have a documented upgrade path steps from 1.9 to current or is this a standard update since using a child theme? Are there any gotchas/challenges migrating from Visual Composer to WPBakery Page Builder?

Many thanks.

Hi, you will find the instructions on how to update the theme in the documentation: https://wydethemes.com/vela/documentation/#update

Also, WPBakery Page Builder is just a new version with a new name of the Visual Composer plugin, you can normally update it using the same method provided in the documentation.

Hi there. I followed the manual update process from 1.9 to 2.1.2 and updated the plugins with success. The child theme that the previous consultant built, however, is generating a broken site. The child theme consists of the following: inc/headers/_header-v6.php, footer.php, functions.php, header.php, page-title.php, php_error.log, single-portfolio.php, style.css. When I activate this theme, I get a grey page and white rectangle.

It looks like there was quite a bit of overriding/customization going on. When I run the theme natively without the child, it runs the site, without any of the customizations. So it appears that most of the page building works, however, there are some sections missing and elements out of place due to styling missing.

Can you tell me if there were a lot of element id/class changes between these versions? How about function load sequence changes or naming changes? I’m thinking this might be some of the reason for the child theme failing to load properly.

Do you have any other suggestions on how to approach/debug this? Many thanks.

It sounds like there are some errors in your child theme. You will need to enable WP_DEBUG in wp-config.php to show detailed information about errors. You can find more details here: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/debugging-in-wordpress/#wp_debug

Hello! I’m reaching out for assistance with two items, as I’ve attempted reviewing the documentation and troubleshooting myself without success. My RevolutionSlider stopped working randomly. I went in to re-add the purchase code but continued seeing “Ajax error!” It’s resulting in some images not appearing on the homepage/hero of the website.

Additionally, the contact form is not working. Errors appear when any email outside of the organization submits.

Hi, thank you for reaching out! I will be happy to solve this issue for you. However, I’ve never seen this issue before. There may be plugin conflicts on your site, try deactivating your plugins to see if it works. If it still doesn’t work, you may need to give me your web address so I can check it. You can send it through the contact form on our profile page: https://themeforest.net/user/wyde#contact

We’ve updated the VELA theme on a client site and are receiving the following error:

`Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /www/wp-content/plugins/wyde-core/inc/redux-framework/inc/class.redux_filesystem.php on line 29 Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method Redux::disable_demo() in /www/wp-content/themes/Vela/admin/options.php:55 Stack trace: #0 /www/wp-content/themes/Vela/admin/options.php(24): Vela_Theme_Options->initSettings() #1 /www/wp-content/themes/Vela/admin/options.php(2172): Vela_Theme_Options->__construct() #2 /www/wp-content/themes/Vela/functions.php(561): require_once(’/www/wp-content…’) #3 /wordpress/wp-settings.php(594): include(’/www/wp-content…’) #4 /www/wp-config.php(110): require_once(’/wordpress/wp-s…’) #5 /wordpress/wp-config.php(5): require(’/www/wp-config….’) #6 /wordpress/wp-load.php(50): require_once(’/wordpress/wp-c…’) #7 /wordpress/wp-blog-header.php(13): require_once(’/wordpress/wp-l…’) #8 /www/index.php(17): require(’/wordpress/wp-b…’) #9 {main} thrown in /www/wp-content/themes/Vela/admin/options.php on line 55`

That error came from an outdated version of Redux Framework. You will need to update the Wyde Core plugin to fix this issue. You will find the changelog here: https://themeforest.net/item/vela-responsive-business-multipurpose-theme/9793377#item-description__update-log

I’ve got another issue with the rev slider on the startpage. when coming back to the page by menu, the slider is showing a white screen instead of the regular content. could you please look this up aswell?

kind regards,

I apologize for the problem you’ve been facing with our theme. There seems to be an issue with the Revolution Slider with the AJAX Page. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We will fix it in the next update.

In the meantime, you may need to disable the “Ajax Page Transitions” option under “Page -> AJAX Options” to work around this issue.

I tried disabling the AJAX Page Transitions, but they’re still loading. Is there any possible reason for this behavior?

I just visited your site and it seemed to be working fine on my end. I tried to visit another page then navigate back to the startpage, the slider was working fine.

Is there a way to have background videos displayed in responsive designs / mobile view too?

We’re sorry but the background videos will be disabled and won’t play on mobile devices. There are many reasons why it has to be disabled, but the main reasons are about the privacy and the mobile data usage. Some users might not be happy if videos auto play when they’re using mobile cellular data. You may check out this article for more details: https://www.squarebird.co.uk/why-wont-video-autoplay-on-mobile/

Also, you may need to set the “Background Image” option to display as a fallback background image on mobile.

okay. I understand this from a technical perspective. Could you tell me the file where the video call is made? I’d like to change the settings in my child theme file.

Try adding the following CSS snippet into Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS to see if it works:

.vdobg {
  display: block !important;
}

Hey there, I’ve got an issue with the VELA theme. On the page is a problem with the first tab on the bottom of the page. The icon is displayed larger than the others, what doesn’t happen in the demopages. Could you help me with that?

https://sams-coaching.de/sams_wp/

thanks, Sebastian

After looking into the content on that page, it seems like you have added custom content (3 icons for Business Coaching, Workshops, Personal Coaching) into the section before your tabs section. I’ve no idea how you created that section but there seems to be an invalid tag (a link without a closing tag) included in the content so that it can impact your content in unexpected ways.

All you have to do is to remove your custom content section, then add a new one using the Info Box element as you can see in our demo.

wow.. got it.. there was a missing tag after the last icon.. I just made those icons clickable by manually editing the text there.. now its fixed. thank you so much! :-)

4 eyes see more than two ;-)

kind regards, Sebastian

Great! I’m happy to hear that you’ve fixed it! Thank you for the update.

Dear support Team I have some next Problem I can’t find my Case Study Page, and in Backend I can’t find It to! And I have a issue with Slider Revolution my Header is White!

I just checked it and here are the answers to your questions:

1. The Case Studies page is not in the Pages list on your site. There is only page called “Case Studies (old)” in the “Draft” tab. If this is not the one you’re looking for. It means, your Case Studies page was deleted from your site.

I have no idea why it isn’t there but this is not a theme related issue. The theme can’t delete your page. There may be someone has deleted it from your site. If your web host server has a backup/restore service. You may need to restore your database to get it back.

2. Your slider on your home page is working fine on my end. However, if you’d like to change the header color, you can change the Menu Text Style and enable/disable the Transparent Header setting under the Vela Options -> Header at the bottom of the page editing screen to change your page header menu color to white or dark.

3. Regarding an issue with the Footer changed, please give me more details and let me know which part has changed, the content, the design, or number of columns. I’ve never seen this issue before so I have no idea why your footer has changed.

4. For an issue with the Testimonials design changed, I just checked it on your “Customer Experience Assessments” page and it’s still working fine. The design hasn’t changed and it is the same as the one on our demo site.

I just find Issue, When you Update the Vela Child, and everything another Issues are go with that

I just visited your site again, looks like the issues have been solved and your site seems to be working fine now.

Thank you for reporting this issue. It has been fixed in the latest update (2.1.2).

Hello, I am a purchaser of your Vela – One Page Business theme and I’ve noticed my web page has encountered an error.

My domain is www.cadeenergy.com

The error message I’ve received suggests the following:

I wanted to contact you prior to updating the website & plugins. Can you please assist?

We’re sorry but it looks like your site is currently using another theme. Those errors are from the Divi theme, not Vela. Try switching to the Vela theme to see if it works.

Hello! How can I help you?

Activating the Wyde Core plugin completely breaks the site and I get multiple errors. Errors are definitely caused by this plugin. /home/customer/www/kcaenglish.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wyde-core/inc/redux-framework/inc/class.redux_filesystem.php on line 29

Thank you for the details! I just reset the theme settings on your site and the problem has been solved!

Thank you for your great support! It works now.

It’s my pleasure!

Hi. I just recently purchased the Vela theme. However, it’s asking me to for a license key for Slider Revolution. Where can I find the license key for that?

Thanks,

Juan

You can ignore that notification message and can normally use it with the theme without registering a license key.

The product registration option is only available for direct customers who have purchased that plugin individually, to access the direct support and automatic updates for that plugin.

All right thanks so much!

Why is the slider revolution not working? Does the theme come with the premium subscription?

We’re sorry but please contact us from the account that purchased the Vela theme to make sure you’re currently in the correct product page that corresponds to what you have purchased.

I don’t have access to that account at them moment. I’m designing a website for the person who purchased it. But I know I’m using the demo version not the child version.

The premium templates of Slider Revolution are only for direct customers who have purchased that plugin individually. However, you can use slider templates from the theme’s demo instead.

You can import demo sliders under Theme Options -> Home. Select “Sliders” option, then choose a demo site to import demo sliders.

Dear sir/madam,

I somehow don’t know how to use the WP builder. The easy one. Normally I can switch it on with the role manager, but here I can’t seem to get it switched on.

Sounds like your site is using the Block Editor as the default editor. You will need to click on the “WPBakery Page Builder” button at the top of the page editing screen then select the Backend Editor to edit your content with WPBakery Page Builder.

If that button doesn’t appear there, try checking the settings under WPBakery Page Builder -> Role Manager. By default, it is enabled for “Pages only”. If you’d like to use it with your blog post, you will need to select “post” option too.

If it still doesn’t work, there may be plugin conflicts on your site. Try to deactivate your plugins to see if it works.

Also, please ensure that you’ve updated the theme and all bundled plugins to the latest version. You can find the changelog here: https://themeforest.net/item/vela-responsive-business-multipurpose-theme/9793377#item-description__update-log

The “read more” tag doesn’t work (the button does not appear – so, there is no preview text) in text blocks within WPBakery. What might it be?

We’re sorry but the “Read more” tag only works on the “Posts page” and archive pages where you display the excerpt of the posts. It won’t work on the page that displays the full content. Also, the “Read More” button will appear when using the “Large Image” and “Medium Image” for the blog posts, it won’t appear on the “Masonry” layout.

Hello, How Could I change my header main links color?

You will need to add the following CSS snippet into Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS to change the color of the header menu links:

.top-nav a,
.social-icons a,
.nav > ul > li > a,
.menu-cart > a,
#search {
    color: #1b4fe1;
}

Thank you very much. Actually, I do have manu pages, so I would like to set this custom color for my homepage. Could you include a script that specify the page?

You can add that CSS snippet into the Custom CSS settings in the Page Settings window. In order to open the Page Settings window, click on the gear icon at the top-right corner of the WPBakery Page Builder tools bar on the page editing screen.
