hi there – where there changes made regarding the anchors and padding… my slides do not adjust with the header/menu any more… I used to use:

but no matter which value I enter the slide/container does not scroll to the accurate to the header… did anything change with updted VC oder RevSlider? thanks

Not all the elements in the “Tabs and Toggle” are supported? I’m wanting to use the element “Features Tour”, but looks like it’s not available. Is it named something else, because I love that feature! And actually I don’t see that the “tabs” are available either! I only see “FAQ”...Am I wrong?

Yes, you are wrong.

The Tabs and Tour elements are a standard part of the Visual Composer plugin, and both those elements are available when using the Vellum theme.

Some elements do not work in conjunction with others, but that will be a Visual Composer issue, not the fault of the Vellum theme.

Thanks…I figured it out! You have to push the plus button at the top of the page next to the Visual Composer icon, and not the plus sign inside the section you are working on.

Great Theme! Had some issues with updating the visual composer before, but it works now! I tried to create an account on your support website, but even though I have reset my password twice it still says that my password is incorrect. Not sure what to do. Thanks.

I’ve checked our database and the ‘hcaperton’ user’s account is activated, so all you need to do is login with that username and your password.

If you can’t remember your password click the “Lost password?” link on the login form and follow the on-screen instructions. I’ve checked and the password reset functionality is working. It sends you an email containing a confirmation link. Click on that link in the email and it will take you to a page where you can set a new password.

Hi I’ve just installed my Vellum theme with WordPress 4.6.1… My Visual Composer was working fine and after log out the backend editor disappeared… How can I solve it ?? I think I need new Visual Composer update… In one of your answer to a comment you said we have full license, and it’s seem s that it’s not true since Visual Composer website have a classing license system o_O How can I update the Visual Composer using my theme license ?

Hi! I’ve just updated the theme, and now I cannot access anymore to my visual composer’s elements of my pages. Do I need to purchase the visual composer plugin? Will every thing look the same if I purchase the visual composer by myself and install it ? Thanks in advance for your answer.

No, you absolutely do not have to purchase the Visual Composer plugin. Every time we make a theme update we include in that update the latest stable versions of Visual Composer and the other four required and recommended plugins.

Currently, the latest version of Vellum (v1.7.7) has Visual Composer v4.12 packaged with it. Once we have tested v4.12.1 with the Vellum theme and fixed anything that update breaks we will publish a theme update that includes Visual Composer v4.12.1 or whatever is the latest version of that plugin at the time.

Updated to the latest version of the Theme 1.7.8 and WordPress 4.6.1 and found that I had Javascript errors in the console. Had to make changes to the assets/js/onload.js script as there were errors:

This was fixed ages ago in the v1.7.2.2 theme update. The change you have posted is already in the ‘onLoad.js’ script included in v1.7.8.

Why do the pages take so long to save settings and so long to load? This happens on 2 of the sites i run with this theme. We have fast VPS hosting and dont have the same issues with any other themes we run. We have leveraged browser caching and use VC on lots of other sites, there must be a reason for the slow loading times?

Theme was working fine for few months till WP updates are done. Now the main menu is no longer responsive and visual editor does not work. Unfortunately the support has expired too. Now the site is broken. :( can I just uninstall this theme and reinstall the new updated theme?

To update the theme, use FTP to delete the existing ‘parallelus-vellum’ theme folder on your server and then upload the new theme folder from your computer to your server. After you have updated the theme make sure you also update the required and recommended plugins. If you need further, specific help with this you will need to renew your support license. Thanks.

You are always able to download the latest version of the theme, and the include Visual Composer, even after support has expired. We include the most up-to-date version of Visual Composer that is compatible with the theme in our releases.

Unfortunately – after updating the complete theme, bought all extensions (Visual Composer, Revolition Slider, Go Pricing and so on), i duplicated the extension (as you introduced the runway framework meanwhile, the vellum theme is now a child theme and you cannot not have grand child themes) and did all the Style changes and so on – but this problem still exists :-(

Yeah, i was wondering if it might be something in the server configuration thats causing it.

Thats why i asked about using the import@ rather than the enqeue setup as i thought that might be why.

Everything works fine, just not recognising the CSS changes, will do some more investigating.

Using the @import rule is not bad practice in itself, it’s just that it creates a new http request. But then so does the ‘best practice’ method described by WordPress so there is nothing gained or lost.

Hi, why are there 2 zipped files in the latest update (v1.7.9)? “theme-vellum-v1.7.9” and ”._theme-vellum-v1.7.9”. Should we upload both?

In the “All files & documentation” download, after you unzip the download file there should only be one theme zip file in the ‘WordPress’ folder: ‘theme-vellum-v1.7.9.zip’. That’s the file you upload.

“dot underscore” files are hidden files macOS writes out and you shouldn’t worry about them. Thanks for letting us know, we’ll check it out.

Visual Composer stopped working. It hangs when it tries to create the page. The site works, but I cannot make changes. I went through all the steps on their site but it still stopped working. If I purchase support is this something that could be solved?

All plug ins are updated. Do I need to buy support to upgrade the theme? (I originally purchased over a year ago.)

No, you do not need to buy support to update the theme. Just go to your downloads page here on ThemeForest and download Vellum. The version you download will be the latest version, and it will include the latest stable versions of the required/recommended plugins.
