I am in the UK and run a site a travel site for my father. It is very basic and simply lists bespoke travel options for Australia, South Africa and a few other locations. Your layout on Wildcat seems perfect for him. Very graphical and easy to use.

1. As he doesn’t sell online, would I be able to disable the ecommerce / basket functionality?

2. His current site uses blog post pages for the itineraries and details. Would the tour details on Wildcat use pages or blog entries for its content? If it uses pages, he would need to start from scratch I guess?

Many thanks

1. Yeah, you can easily disable the WooCommerce/checkout functionality.

2. The tour details are built using a custom post type. In your case, you would have to copy the blog post content over into the new post type. It wouldn’t require starting over but it would require duplicating the content into the custom post type.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks that’s fantastic. I think I am going to start the site from scratch actually anyway as there is a lot of dead content in the original so I may as well.

Can you confirm if this theme is compatible with mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets?

When you say they are a custom post type, is it possible to not have the pages with post dates and times? I didn’t notice any on the demo site. We update the site with new content when we can, but it’s more of a bespoke travel showcase or portfolio. My father uses it to give people an idea of what he does, but relies on them contacting him to discuss what he can create for his customers. I think the current site is off putting as some of the post date stamps are very old. I’d rather they weren’t visible.

Many thanks

Yeah, this them works great on all devices including smartphones and tablets. Feel free to test out the site on your device (Make sure to remove the iframe toolbar when testing on mobile/tablet):

The Trips are all created via custom post type. See the pages drop-down to see the default page layouts. The pages do not display a post date stamp. Only blog posts will display a post date stamp.

Hi, before buying, some questions. - Is it possible to have a video at home - Is it possible to remove the Search all travel destinations box above the slider? - How does the slider work? Is it possible to have the slider above the tours listings pages?

1) Yeah, you can add a video in the content area of the homepage (Anywhere below the slider).

2) Yeah, you can easily remove the search above the slider.

3) The slider is a custom slider built-in to our theme. You have options for the background image, text and positioning of left or right in the slider as demoed in the live preview. If you wanted to use a different slider, that would be super easy to do. Any of the popular slider plugins will work great with our theme.

4) There is not an option to display the slider on the tour listings pages.

Hola. Los usuarios pueden publicar sus experiencias de viaje con texto e imágenes?

Tags that I use to find plugins with those characteristics

Thank you !!!!

Hi. I want to build a travel website . I need the users to register on the page and to tell their travel experiences through text and photos . They can publish the places they visit . You could do need some plugin or to cover such functionality . Thank you

Unfortunetly that is not possible. I recommend checking out and for plugins that can add-in that functionality. By default users cannot submit data to the theme. All the data creation is managed via WordPress.

Hi. Could you please inform if the template is compatible with the multilingual plugin WPML?

thank you very much!

can you actually direct me to some reading on the subject of integration with paypal. as I understood it is previewed by the woo commerce.

Yeah, check out the documentation included with the theme. We have written and video directions on setting up the eCommerce and Booking information.

If you have any other questions, feel free to purchase support and join our forums:

is this capable of woocomerce deposits?

This theme is fully equipped to accept payments. We have support built-in for WooCommerce which will handle any ecommerce functionality.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Team,

I just want to integrate the payment initial deposit type of payment. I’ve heard they have that in “Woocommerce Deposits” I just want to make sure you have that feature before I but the theme.

Yeah, we have WooCommerce functionality built-in. Therefore if you wanted to use a WooCommerce Deposits plugin, it would work with our theme. There are a number of them available on and via WooCommerce themselves. Any of those plugins will work with our Wildcat theme.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Is this theme integration with Report sale of Wooommerce or use your theme report sale?

Yeah, this theme supports WooCommerce. You can easily start selling travel packages and products online with our theme.

Hello, I bought your theme and I’m working with it. My version is 1.3. How can I upgrade my version to be compatible with new versions of wordpress and woocommerce?

I’m running the 2.1 version.

It looks like your support has expired some time ago but I’ll take a look. Go ahead and shoot me an e-mail and I’ll take a l look and see what is going on (Include a link to your site and login when you e-mail me):

Thanks I’ve solved the problem.

I’d like to ask a couple of pre-purchase questions, please.

First, I like the left-hand side search filter and I was wondering if I could create and add-on a filter category. For example, in the demo, you have Destinations and Activities Category. Am I able to create and add-on a Tour Length category?

Second, am I able add multiple filter options? For example, I select hiking and get 7 results, can I then add a sub filter under hiking which allows my customer to filter their search further by, let’s say, tour length?

Third question: If we disable the e-commerce / basket functionality, will the add to cart button be removed as well? What I’d like to do is set it so that instead of “Add To Cart”, the button just says “Book Now” and leads to the booking page (which I understand is something I will have to create). Is this possible? ALSO, on the trip page, the Add to Cart box on the left-hand side, will that disappear as well or am I able to do the exact same thing with the “Book Now” button which will lead to the booking page?

Last question: Am I able to add buttons at the end of the product description? A “Book Now” button for example…

Hope these questions make sense! :)

Thanks guys, looking forward to hearing from you soon.

1) You have full control over the search filters. You can add more or less of them as you see fit. They are very simple to customize and add tours to. You can add an unlimited number of these.

2) The filtering works as shown in the live preview. They will always display regardless of what you are inside. Example: Eastern Africa underneath Africa. There is no way to hide/show filters as you click through.

3) Yeah, you can disable the ecommerce functionality. Instead the buttons will link to the post page. The Add to cart buttons on the post page will then automatically hide. Note: If you want, you can link the buttons to a different page or even different website. However I’m not sure what page you what page you would link to in your case.

4) You can add any content in the product description including buttons.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

I’ve tried 5 times to submit a ticket for Wildcat. Every time I hit submit, one of two things happens. An error saying the Related URL Doesn’t Appear to be Valid (but I copied/pasted the link from the actual page) and if I exclude the Related URL altogether, it comes up saying, “Unexpected Error Occurred.”. I tried logging in and out, but that changed nothing. :-(

Any help you can give for this would be grateful!

Sorry about that, it looks like Ticksy our support service had momentary outages this afternoon. I can confirm it’s backup now as we have a few new tickets opened. Go ahead and try again and you should be able to submit a ticket:

It’s still doing it, and I even used a new browser that hadn’t been there before and got the same error message. Is there an email address I can send my request to? Thanks!

Yeah, go ahead and send me an e-mail via my profile page contact form here: Happy to help you out via e-mail instead.

Very interesting. I have a pre-sales question: How do you feed the trips/destinations? Do you have some system where one feeds with an API from an external database with destinations, etc or does one has to do all the work manually?

All of the themes features are managed by WordPress. You manage all the trips/destinations manually. We are using WooCommerce to power this area so you can charge people and schedule trips. If you want a calendar or advanced functionality like API support, you can use any WooCommerce ready plugin.
