Hi, I installed the Woffice theme and was trying to install it’s extension, the Mega Menu and Backup & Demo Content but it shows an error Deprecated: Required parameter $value follows optional parameter $option_id. How can we fix this?

Hello I bought the themes, but I have several problems, 1- at first the members were seen and now the members are not seen, they disappeared, they say that it does not exist, but in the friendly members there are 2 and only the administrator is disabled. “I have already updated the themes to 5.08 ”.

2- I have done or completed the projects and they are linked to the tasks, but when the link to the project does not take you to the project, it tells you that this page does not exist.

3- I have configured the File Away plugin, it uploads and downloads the files, but there are 5 folders where you can send it, but it only lets me choose one, the others are not collected. This is the problem here and i have a question about this plugin if i can configure it so that one group or one member has permission to download the folders and not everyone can download all the files.

Hello, I bought this theme a few years ago because of the design and flexibility of the theme. Now, after the last update to the latest version, the top menu style is gone from the settings. You also removed the footer and extra footer option and the login/register background image and background color does not work. It’s almost a new theme that didn’t take into account the uses of your buyers. It’s not right to do this and break the business of all those who bought this theme, a few years ago. You don’t offer a solution to continue using your theme and to benefit from future updates. You make the same answers to all those who do not agree with your way of doing. You despise your users.

Hello, I’m sorry but the latest version 5.0.8 does not change my problem. I still don’t have the possibility to use a horizontal menu as it was the case before you decided your theme without taking into account the usage of your theme by your different users. Really, you don’t realize how much damage your changes do to your users. There is no option for the menu, nor for the footer.

Is there any method to disable the new stellar skin?

With respect to your question here, WOffice 5 is actually the Stellar version in itself hence you cannot really separate the Stellar Skin. If perhaps you want to utilize the previous UI and skins, what you can do is use the older versions of WOffice such as WOffice 4.2.6. We will however not be maintaining older versions of the theme.

Hello John,

I have just uploaded the theme once again after buying it some 5 years back and trialing it but then shelving my project. My business has subsequently increased and I need to possibly use the theme once again to help me out.

However, I have a trifecta of issues. 1. question and 2. assistance 3. feature

Question 1. Does the calendar have the ability to alert me within a specified time frame that an event is about to happen? This notification can be set in advance when the event is created or be in place for any created event.

Assistance 2. I installed theme 3x today and it looks broken with part of the style sheets broken etc. I installed it without any active cache (Cloudflare proxy set to of) and I tried via WordPress admin and then via Cpanel and both times the theme does not load the full demo data. I realize my support has expired but shouldn’t it upload easily without breaking? I have uploaded many themes to my host (A1) and rarely do I have an issue as such. I don’t mind paying for additional support when I have a support question worthy of paid support but I feel this falls under guidance. I followed all instructions provided by your online documentation and it fails every time.

Question 3.

If someone in the office types a message in the live chat plugin will there be a notification alert provided somewhere?

Hello! Have had Woffice fine for a couple years, but admittedly did not update it for about a year when I saw so many changes start appearing in the changelog.

I am seeing a ton of complains about the new Stellar skin. It looks great, and would like to upgrade the site, but do not want to spend the next month tweaking a bunch of things.

How easy is the migration for a site that isn’t heavily modified (Maybe a couple CSS overrides I am using currents, and only using some basic Woffice functionality like a few static pages, links, an iframe embed for a Google calendar, etc)?

What UI components will I lose?

I have not decided to renew my support for the theme since I am not sure if I will do the upgrade, so forgive me for asking this in the pre-sales channel.

With respect to your question here, WOffice 5 is a major theme update and hence there will be quite a number of numerous changes in terms of layout and UI. Below is an outline of the removed options:

  • -Theme Skins from the Appearance > Theme Settings > General Options
  • -Removed the option “HIDE FEATURED IMAGE” in the Theme Settings > Blog section
  • -Removed the following Menu options from the Theme Settings > Menu section: BACKGROUND COLOR (The background color of the submenu) MENU WIDTH MENU COLOR #2 (Used for the text color) MENU ICON COLOR (Used for the icon color) MENU HOVER COLOR (Used as a link background, link color on it is the Menu color #2) MENU LAYOUT MENU DEFAULT STATE UPPERCASE ELEMENTS
  • -Removed the following Header Bar Options from the Theme Settings > Header Bar section: FIXED NAVIGATION (fix the navigation on the top of the screen when scrolling) TEXT COLOR (This is the color used for the text (username)) BACKGROUND COLOR (The background color of the navbar)
  • -Removed the Title Box
  • -Removed all Footer & Extra Footer settings apart from copyright content
  • -Removed Color Styling Options

I would recommend that you first carry out the update on a staging site.

Hi..

When I try to download an update from your page it says my license code is not valid?

And also after installing the theme + demo content, I dont see the demosite i thought I bought “https://stellar.woffice.io/”, instead the menu is all messed up and generally it just dosent look right, can you please assist?

I join @jonesdoug and many others in voicing our DISSATISFACTION with the NEW theme UPGRADE v.5.x

This new theme is just full of problems and I don’t know why you’re tinkering with what was working well, Why break what has been working well for the past several years!! I just don’t understand the rationale behind this?

Like the way many major software upgrades are handled – Why can’t you just provide options for those who want the new to choose that and those who prefer what has been working to continue with the same while still receiving relevant updates.

I also be shopping for alternatives if this doesn’t get addressed

Buyer BEWARE, I have used this theme since 2016 and updated from version 4.2.6 to version 5.0.1 on September 28, 2022. This Woffice Theme had an amazing amount of wiggle room regarding styling without any CSS coding and was extremely happy with what I could do with it. I additionally purchased “ALL” the plugins Woffice advertised from within the theme to expand on the function and capability.

The latest update (5.0.1) not only removed the capability to change the style and functionality but totally changed my website design and will require immense amounts of CSS and PHP coding to get my site back to what it was. I went back and forth with the Woffice team support for a few weeks and their replies were clear that this was something I’d have to accept. In fact, I don’t even think they realized that the update wasn’t an update but a whole new theme that should’ve been rolled out as such. They made an offer to help me with some coding but they failed to realize from my long and detailed emails regarding the struggles I was having not only with my “NEW THEME” but also with the plugins that I’d purchased from them that I’d be asking them to update this color or move this menu frequently through email that takes 3-4 days to turn around as they are on the other side of the world would not work for them or me after about the 3rd or 4th request.

I’m upset that I had to move to another theme and buy the plugins and web page builder that work with that theme and am still trying to figure out how everything fits together after a month and half of my site being down.

I left a Review with a one (1) Star Rating about a week ago to let others know that this company will stop a theme mid-stream and move in another direction with said theme instead of just copy, paste, and create a NEW theme instead of trashing a theme so many companies and people are using and they will do this without notice or warning. That one (1) Star Review has since been deleted and I’m not able to leave another review so now I’m forced to move my frustration to this comment section.

This Theme Developer has no experience regarding how to roll out a change that would affect so many. Who changes something that has been purchased by so many customers instead of rolling out a new theme.

I’ve copied this comment and will paste it everywhere on the WWW if it is not addressed properly or is deleted and I will not purchase another item from codecanyon or its affiliates until someone says OOPS! We messed up and own up to what they have done. I wouldn’t have posted this, but you shouldn’t have deleted my Review either. This has cost me time, money, and an immense amount of effort and frustration to get back to where I should already be and that is a functioning website using a theme that I researched and purchased years ago.

This Theme nor its Developer currently deserves a 4.5 Star Rating. I’m really upset, and this is a heads-up notification to all the people who have their own customers and Managers to answer to. BEWARE…

I used your shortcut in your last post to navigate to the page https://woffice.io/feature-requests/woffice-theming/ after logging in using my credentials I had created when I purchased all your plugins for $159 in August 2022 that I never had the opportunity to use due to the changes endured with Woffice 5.x, I did ask for a refund but your company said that wasn’t going to happen as my request had past the 14 day refund policy.

I inputted a request in the Woffice 5.x idea section to return the Woffice Theme to its former glory with all its bells and whistles in tact. I pushed the “SUBMIT” button and my request disappeared to a place where.., uhm.., I don’t know, because my request literally disappeared and cannot be found anywhere on your request board to include looking in “My Requests”. The few requests I did find from other people have no time stamp to determine when their requests were posted or if any acknowledgement or activity was noted or tagged “work in progress”.., how do I know? there is nothing. Looks like a place where things go just before being carried out with the trash. I’ve seen better forums for sure.

If you hadn’t deleted my 1 Star Review, all of this could’ve been avoided. So, If I can have your complete and undivided attention for a moment. I am not getting that warm fuzzy feeling that you nor your company are taking this serious. You obviously have your own ideas about where this is going and you still have no idea how much time, money, my reputation, and grief this has cost me except to start every one of your replies to any negative comment left about your theme with “I’m sorry you feel that way…” That isn’t being sincere, its telling me nothing is going to happen so stop wasting your time…

There must be a sentence or paragraph or something in Envato’s fair use clause, privacy clause, Developer expectation clause or something that is somewhere in this vast website about harming Envato customers.

I’m going to escalate this to include making a formal complaint to Envato to see if they have any input. If they say there is nothing they can do, then, I’ll quietly leave you and Envato to your own devices and subsequent consequences and wish you all the best and you can request they delete my posts like this never happened and I’ll find other avenues to meet my future WordPress needs.

  • Plugin purchases are not addressed in this forum since they are not sold here. This is a presales forum for the WOffice theme. With all due respect, if you have a complaint in regards to plugin purchases, please submit a support ticket about this.
  • About the feature request public board, that board is actually meant for publicly raising feature requests and once a feature request is raised other users can vote on it. I did already raise the request in this instance and I can see it already has 3 votes. In your case what you did was not to vote or submit a request. What you did was to leave a comment on the request. Similar to other sites, comments need to be approved before they are live which in this case we have approved. We have not removed the comment you submitted. Please ensure that you vote on the feature by clicking on the “vote” action button.
  • In regards to the theming query you had raised, in my last reply, I did actually offer an affirmation that this is is something that our development team will be looking into. This is something that we are already strategizing on and also continuing to collect feedback from other users. While I do understand your frustration here, kindly exercise some patience as this is looked into.
  • In regards to the timestamp from votes of other users, sorry, our voting feature does not offer a timestamp functionality. We are actually interested in knowing how many users are interested in the said feature and also their views on the said feature.

We do appreciate your views on WOffice 5 and we are working on adding further improvements to it as well as bringing in some new features to it. There is nothing also wrong in you submitting your views about our product hence our intent is not to delete your comments. Customer feedback is really important to us and this is what pushes us to do even much better. This way we are in a position to deliver a product that would be suitable to our users and prospective customers.

Hello. I am manually updating the theme from ver 2.8.9.1 to 5.0.3. I have tried all approaches to update: the Unyson Woffice Update extension, the Envato Market plugin, and a manual FTP installation of the most recent theme. Every approach results in a fatal error. I’m sorry but how can you roll out a skin that isn’t a choice if you need to upgrade and then still have 2018 documentation linked on your website that only shows the previous skin settings? You have images of the old look all over your website but that’s not what people will get if they purchase this. Stellar skin is the only choice and there are very little options for layout. Sigh

Really disappointed how the new skin was rolled out. If it’s a skin, why can’t I choose which skin I want to use? I’m trying to use it on a staged version. Why do the Theme Settings have settings for things that are no longer there (footer, extra footer). Why does the link to documentation take you to the old skin documentation. Why can’t I change the menu settings like color and font size?! I’m not going to pay $40 to get support on something that I won’t use if this is how it’s going to be documented and this is how it’s modified (css overrides?). Assuming if I stick with 4.7.whatever, I cannot get support in the future even if I pay for it? And it won’t be maintained? Not a great Monday. I have two intranets that use this theme. I’m sure you’re going to tell me to open a paid support ticket :(

That would be very helpful. I don’t understand why you would force a new skin on an upgrade but have no documentation on how to modify it and keep the old settings in there? Just seems sloppy and the cart before the horse.

With respect to your query here, WOffice 5 is a rework on the theme in terms of UI. We didn’t force a new Skin here. WOffice 5 Stellar is the skin in itself. We are mainly focussed in making our products more modern in relation to UI changes therefore we had to let go of settings that would not work with our new UI. We will also be moving forward with the new UI and settings we have in version 5. Version 4 settings and UI will not be included moving forward. We will also be adding guides on WOffice 5.
