Thank you for your response! I did read through the help information and was able to figure out most of it, except for one additional question.

Additional question: As far as the portfolio sized images on the Portfolio page, in your live demo. The image I uploaded (although of large enough size), did not re-size to the same size of your images; as you have them displayed on your live demo for this template.

Was there an additional step that I need to take, after initially creating the “Portfolio” Category … that I may have somehow missed?

Please advise.

Thank you!

There’s no additional steps, just make sure the image you upload is larger than 596×400

Oh, okay. Got it. Thank you!

Is there another way to change the header background color, if I am unable to open the PSD file in layers, in order to go to the: “main layout PSD and find the layer labeled – header_bg under the header group template, etc…”. I don’t currently have the software that does that.

Please advise.

Thank you!

I would recommend downloading the free 30 day trial of Photoshop here

Okay, thank you for sharing this link!

Is there a way to switch up the different widgets that appear on the different pages or category pages; so that the exact same widgets don’t appear on all pages?

Please advise.

Thank you!

You would need to register multiple sidebars and use conditional tags to check what page you’re currently on

Thank you for sharing! Taking a look now.

You mentioned in one of your earlier replies that:

“The images will get cropped and resized to 350×258 for regular posts and 596×400 for portfolio posts. These sizes can be changed to whatever you’d like by modifying the image code in single.php as well as modifying the height of the slider in style.css”

I’ve been able to accomplish part of this within the single.php file, however when trying to make the matching adjustment to the Portfolio 596×400 slider itself, I am having trouble identifying which line of code allows for the change in size.

For instance, I want the image in that slider to appear at 596×258 and I thought by changing:

folioslides {

float: left; height: 400px;

... the 400px to 258px; that it would have also shortened the height of the slider, but, it didn’t seem to work?

Please advise as to what line of code specifically changes the Portfolio Slider size.

Thank you!

Actually, it’s the larger Featured Slider the 596×400 that I am trying to decrease in height. Just in case it was confusing as to which one I meant in my previous question.

Please let me know.

Thank you!

There’s a height set in js/jquery.flow.init.js you’ll need to edit that as well as the image heights

I’ve located the file and am looking at the code inside of it. The question is where is this line of code in that file:

Please correct me if I am wrong, but, this line of code that I just mentioned appears to be what I’d need to adjust. ( I see this line of code via Firebug).

The code in the file that you mentioned earlier if for these two:

$(”#featurednav”).jFlow({ slides: ”#slides”,

and $(”#imagesnav”).jFlow({ slides: ”#imageslides”,

I am not seeing the mention of the folio in the code, in the file you mentioned. The folio being the large slider 596×400 that I get to by clicking a featured post on the home page.

Please advise.

Thank you!

Update: I actually went to the other.js file marked folio and this solved it.

Thank you for all of your time!

I really like this gorgeous template. However, I am seeing in the main menu navigation a blank section and when I put my mouse over it, it just says “no categories.”

I am running the WP 2 .9.1 with the Paramount theme – 36192

I have a few categories, posts, and pages.

I am not sure how to get rid of the blank box.

Please help.

Thank you!

Make sure that you’ve set the categories in the Paramount Admin Options page

I figured out how I can fix the issue of having “no categories” blank box on the main menu.

I just need create a new post, since the template has been applied, and assign it to the category.

It now shows the Category name.

Thank you.

May I ask you how you can move the blog category name in the main menu nav to other position? I can change the page order in the main menu, but not the category.

Thank you.

Categories can be ordered by ASC or DESC this can be changed in header.php on the wp_list_categories tag

Is there a way to have the three columns at the bottom be Widgets rather than preloaded?

Yes, you would need to enable another widget area in functions.php, then call that sidebar in footer.php with something like the line below:

<?php if ( !function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') || !dynamic_sidebar("Footer") ) : endif; ?>

I have added a contact sign up form to the sidebar and the submit button is huge. Obviously it’s pulling from somewhere else. Can you tell me where to fix this?

Also, I would like to remove the border from images on the sidebar, can you guide me in doing so?

Thank you!

The input styling is on line 429 in style.css, and for the sidebar images replace line 51 with the below:

#content img { border: 1px solid #e1dece; padding: 5px; background-color: #fffef5; }

Hi there!

Great theme, but I can’t get the menu to work in Wordpress 3.0! Any fix for this on it’s way?

3.0 menu support will be added shortly

That would be great :)

For anyone that is seeing the “Malicious Site Warning” when viewing the Live Preview, I apologize my site got hacked however I’ve since remedied the situation, removed the code and put in a request for review with Google to remove the Warning.

Again I apologize for any inconvenience.

Site’s been cleared and the Live Preview is back up

FYI – the warning came up again today.

I am having a little trouble, just with the footer logo. You can see it here:

As you can see, the other images and the top logo works fine, but the footer logo is broken. I can’t figure out why. I’ve checked the URL repeatedly, and in fact, the admin screen shows the image so it’s obviously finding it.

But it won’t display it on the front end.

Any suggestions to fix this?

PS – best theme I’ve purchased from ThemesForest by far. Great work!

Thanks for the heads up, my host Media Temple has been having issues with malware injections lately. It’s been removed.

When I view the logo directly I’m seeing a 404:

One other nitpick.

In the About Me widget, any apostrophes get marked with a forward slash. You can see it on my site as well.

I really don’t want to have to remove all my contractions – it makes the language uncomfortably formal. Is there a way to get it to allow apostrophes without marking them?

Replace your includes > widgets.php with the below and you’ll be good to go.

You’re looking at the wrong logo. I used the Admin screen to set a new one – http://dcd-chocolatier.com/wp-content/themes/paramount/images/logo-footer.gif.

It shows properly in the Admin screen, but not on the front end. And the same type of logo with new name works fine for the header, but not for the footer.
