We have been training with a different theme for 2 years.
However, after the number of students registered to the site reached 10 thousand, the panel slowed down. In addition, although we have a very strong server and use professional cache, when there are more than 100-150 people on the site at the same time, the site side is very slow.
When we test your eduma demos on gtmetrix and the like, it seems that you are also very slow.
Can you say that it will work fast when our number of members is 1 million.
Ok, first please check this link : 95 Google insights Mobile score (video), WPLMS passes core web vitals score and compare with fastest sites on WordPress. Secondly there are a lot of mis-conceptions regarding the problem, please allow me to clarify them one by one.
1. GTMetrix is a wrong tool for what you are measuring. GTMetrix will only give you front end optimisation for desktops, it does not tell you anything about the initial server response [ TTFB ] where all PHP code executes, which is the problem you are facing.
2. This is a platform problem of WordPress and you will find this consistently, whether you are using an LMS plugin or a Membership plugin where majority traffic is logged in users. more on this. WordPress created a state of art login system in 2005 but we have better solutions now. WordPress Cookies are an overhead and as the logged in users increase this cookie based structure kills the server.
The answer to all above is provided by our WPLMS Framework.
1. WPLMS uses a browser oriented JWT login system (runs in sync with WP but without cookies). The result is that the server sends out static files without any processing and browser does the login processing. Similar technology being employed by popular sites like Udemy, Edx, Plural sight etc.
2. The WPLMS is built as an App and uses only API calls for data transfer. This reduces the load on server for generating HTML markup.
3. WPLMS is PWA which stores data in the browser and works offline even without internet. Also, with our background sync feature (coming soon), the members area will remain in sync and load instantly in 200ms (video). This gives you a lot of scalability as the load on your site is distributed and users are loading from cache wher eever it is not required to make a server hit.
4. The WPLMS uses WordPress & BuddyPress as HeadLess CMS which is perfect for achieving infinite scalability. You can deploy on horizontal & vertical scaling cloud architectures.
5. The WPLMS addons are carefully crafted for scalability, for example our WPLMS S3 addon uploads directly from browser to Amazon S3 without your server in between. So, when you have 10,000 students submitting assignment, your server is not involved, they upload straight from browser to S3. We have Tus.io implementation which works with offline uploading, firebase for live chat, real time and push notifications so the server load is much reduced.
6. Quizzes, the WPLMS Quizzes evaluate in the browser and when you have 10,000 quiz submissions there is an option (coming up) that the user can download his submissions and upload for evaluation.
7. No jQuery architecture, WPLMS has a no jQuery mode which means defer load your scripts as well, also this has a huge impact on Google insights scoring.

Ok, this is confirmed bug in WPLMS. This appears when you change the Course pursue screen from full screen to sub-screen. This is resolved in update releasing most likely today or by tomorrow. Click on the back arrow in the course pursue screen.

Question on child theme for wplms, i found the following message in readme file of the theme
- Important Note
If you’re seeing this note it means you’ve downloaded WPLMS 3.2 version or higher.
With WPLMS 3.2 update child themes are now optional. Use the WPLMS Blank child theme that is wplmsblankchild.zip for all other child themes.
The child themes now appear in the setup wizard of the main theme.
My Questions
1.Please do let me know if child theme is not needed, in case if child theme is not needed, how the changes are preserved with respect to updates in main theme?
2.Also i did not find any option of child theme in setup wizard of main theme.
Hi, Welcome back. This is a very old notice (probably 2 years old) , WPLMS is right now in version 4.0
1. Are you using a specific child theme of WPLMS like OneInstructor or Modern ?
2. The Child themes are optional but recommended method if you want to customise the theme and would not want changes affected by the updates.

Hi I have followed every instruction on your knowledge forum, every ticket, every update, even cleared a cache, even reinstalled your website from scratch, but your 4.0 is so awful that it can not import your own demos properly.
I have even deleted whole wordpress and installed from zero ground. No result! On Setup Wizard everything installed successfully but in my live website everything is messed up and not showing anything.
Can you just provide normal demo content as it was before?

ok, all these plugins are avialable on wp.org. So you can just go to WP admin – Plugins – add new and search in the searchbar.

Apparently am trying to choose some option in batch , Like Batch Seat Number options, Batch date , Batch Courses and while trying to update this , it return null not accepting my inputs as shown here https://ibb.co/nBR690x

Yes confirming this is a bug, the buddypress functions are also not working in this screen so the error may be originating from buddypress. We are rolling out update for batches in this part today. Meanwhile you can manage all these settings from the front end . Go to profile menu – groups select the batch – manage and configure setting.

This is the Demo17, you can translate this. Install the loco translate and translate the theme. You can translate english to english to re-label fields and static text as above.

ok, i am setting up with Astra theme here , click on the “app” in the main nav and login as instructor@instructor.com / instructor@instructor.com , you can prepare the courses using elementor. In our next update we’ll add support for course layouts with third party themes, rest all is working fine.

Firebase is not a dependency for WPLMS. Everything in this LMS works via API. The courses run via API calls and we have our own Editor especially built for education needs with Math / Chem/ Physics support.
So, the exportable course feature : we can take an export of the entire course into SCORM/xAPI format course and run it anywhere on internet. The tracking can be done in WPLMS or in any LRS . That is the whole point of version 4 in WPLMS, a fully spec compliant LMS system. Content is yours, you will be able to maintain it and not locked into any system or LMS.
I cant get to revert from version 4 to version 3 like many other users. Where can I download the last version 3 update? I went to your support page but there is no download section there, and codecanyon doesn’t allow me to select the version I want.
It is inside the wplms theme package. Download the theme pack and there is 3.9 and 4.0 folders
Hello, I’m really impressed with tons of features here, and I’m really looking forward for a purchase. However, I’ve a few pre-sales questions if I may.
I’ve been trying out to find info about private courses, here’s a scenario.
Instructor register and add few courses but these courses should not be visible or public on the website. The instructor will send invitation links or code to students to join the course. Only students with invitation link/code can view and interact with the course.
From your forums looks like it’s possible however here in the comments you mentioned a lot of times that “private courses are not currently supported”.
Also I can see that the demos are some how broken, can I be invited to a sandbox or something to try out before the purchase, just to make sure that I made the right decision.
