Missing style sheet error when installing the theme

A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a "Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly. Luckily, there is a very easy fix.

What Support Do You Offer?

- Documentation: The theme is one of the best documented on Themeforest, it comes with instructions which guide you how to use the theme quicly

- Support Channels: ThemeMove provides theme related support via our Help Desk, knowledgebase & video tutorials. We may request you to e-mail us your login and ftp details when needed.

- Support Hours: Our general support hours are Monday to Friday. During this time, we can generally provide feedback on any support queries within 6 – 14 hours, whilst we will also commit to answer any queries during weekends and holidays within 24-36 hours.

- Extent of our support: We only cover support for our themes, and cannot give general WordPress support that isn’t related to our themes. For general WordPress support you will have to use www.wordpress.org/support We understand that there is a fine line between what is considered support & modifications. So whilst we will try help you with any type of query (support or modification), we cannot provide extensive help in terms of modifications. Technical support will thus take priority over modification support. If you need some feature not provided by ThemeMove framework and the theme, feel free to contact us and we may include it in one of the future updates. Usually the popular requests take priority.

- Definition of modification support: If you are requesting modification help, which only requires us to publish a couple lines of code, we will be glad to assist you. If however your query requires more than that amount of code to be published, we can only provide guidance and you would then need to hire a developer if you don’t have the skills to implement it yourself.

- Bug Fixing: It is our commitment to fix all theme bugs as quickly as possible after they are brought to our attention. During our general support hours, we can fix bugs within 24 – 48 hours.

3. Are ThemeMove Themes Compatible With The Latest Version Of Wordpress?

Yes, we make it a priority to always keep the themes up-to-date and working with the latest version of WordPress.

4. Can You Modify The Themes To Fit My Websites Personal Needs?

Our support covers getting setup with the theme, theme related questions and bugs or issues that occur when using the theme. Customization can be any work you need done to the theme that is not covered by the scope of our support. In most cases, this is anything that falls outside of the options the theme offers. While we take custom projects occasionally most of the time we are busy working on new themes. The good news is that you will find plenty of quality developers and designers in the new Envato’s website – Envato Studio.

5. Can I Import The Demo Content On An Existing Installation?

It would work on an existing install, however you need to install the Wordpress Reset Plugin to guarantee the best performance of the theme. Please be aware that once you use this plugin, all your current database will be deleted.

6. Do Your Themes Work With Plugins?

Yes, most plugins should work with our themes, however, we can’t guarantee they all will. There are some plugins that conflicts with the code used in the themes, which will make our themes not function properly. There are thousands of plugins available and we can’t test every one with our themes unfortunately. If the plugin has been coded to WordPress’ standards it’ll work %99 of the time. If not, we’re happy to trouble shoot and figure out if it’s really the plugin’s fault. Just open a support ticket in our Help Desk.

7. Do You Have Dummy Content?

Dummy content for the purpose of this guide means all the content – widgets, sidebars, text, images, videos from the theme’s live demo. By importing the dummy content you will closely recreate the Live Demo website. We have Sample Data feature. This is a great feature that helps novice WordPress users and veterans alike. This feature makes the necessary settings/configurations and installs demo content in the WordPress theme: categories, pages, posts and widgets. Your ThemeMove theme will look exactly like the one you see on our live preview. It doesn’t matter if you know WordPress inside out or seen it for the first time, it’s always easier to modify posts, categories, pages and widgets that are already there rather than creating them from scratch. Moreover it is easier to understand how your new ThemeMove theme works. Widgets, content and Slider demo slides can be imported separately. Our Sample Data is a tremendous feature that will save you a lot of frustration and headache at a press of a button. Please note that the dummy content doesn’t come with the original images due to copyright restrictions.

8. How Often Are Themes Updated?

We update our themes any time we discover a bug, to make the theme compatible with the latest WordPress version or there is a new feature that our clients feel should be added. We are proud to be one of the few author that aim to keep their entire portfolio compatible with the latest WordPress version.
