I think the only thing this theme lacks is a great listicle post design. You might have seen some beautiful listicles on the Internet. This is one of my favourites - https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/travel/places-to-visit.html?referringSource=articleShare

Can we have some awesome listicle post options on the next release or Zeen v4?

Cheers!

for Bugs

The theme has a lot of bugs, I feel like with every release they include more bugs than they fix, not sure how they are able to have the top rating, that explains a lot for Envato's quality. The more themes that I buy from Envato the less I trust them.

Hi Muzhaqi16,

I'm sorry you feel this way, but this is not true. The theme does not have a lot of bugs. The theme demos are all running the very latest version, and there are zero bugs.

Every single bug that has ever been reported by users in the past has been fixed via free theme updates. And any possible new ones that are yet to be discovered, will also be fixed.

I checked and you've actively been using the theme for over a year now, but you haven't opened a single ticket about your problems, so I'm really confused about why you'd leave a 1 star rating and nothing else?

The theme is extremely complex with thousands of option combinations, if you've discovered an obscure bug in your specific set up, all you need to do is open up a ticket at http://codetipi.ticksy.com and include all the details + screenshots (if possible) about the issue, and it will be investigated.

If it is a new theme bug, then of course it would be fixed. I don't understand why you aren't seeking help, as it would get fixed. Your approach makes no sense to me.

Best,

for Customizability

I have built many websites and used many Wordpress themes. This is the best one. It is very flexible and customizable. It is fast. You do not need the baggage of several plugins or WP Bakery to build beautiful websites. Even WP Bakery and WP Page Builder which increases your server resources somewhat. With a good cache plugin and this theme, you can easily achieve a few ms page load times.

for Flexibility

Excellent plugin, extremely customizable and flexible. Fast, clean frontend. Fast support.

for Flexibility

I made many websites with Wordpress and I can say with certainty that this template is the best I ever seen. I'm so happy I found this template! The flexibility exceeded my expectations. The support is amazing. I can do with this template almost if I made my own custom template knowing only some html/css. I'm impressed. You are doing great job codetipi.

for Code Quality

An amazing theme from a UI/UX point of view and a delight to work with from a coders' standpoint as well. Works brilliantly when extended with a child theme, code is constantly being improved and in the last 6 months I haven't encountered a single code-breaking update. The latest updates to the included Tipi Builder made me dispose of 3rd party builders like WP Bakery, Elementor or Visual Composer all together. Works without so much of a hitch witch even the most complex AFC(e) fields and remains light as a feather in regard to the loading experience for such a fully featured theme. The customer care team is indeed as responsive and helpful as others have suggested. Distinguishing quickly between questions from an enthusiast and seasoned coders and responding within the customers context accordingly.

It could do with a few more action/filter hooks, as to be able to child theme without having to copy core files such as single.php and missing out on future updates. Also the 'setup wizard' tends to be in total shambles when playing with 3rd party plugins - but I wasn't using that anyway. The rest of the theme and its included plugins play very well with others and I haven't encountered any other problems in that department.

The social counters have been updated well. Instagram counter was broken a few versions ago - due to changes in the way Instagram allows access. Would love to see a bit more official 3rd party API support for socials.

Overall, Zeen 3.5 is one of the best themes I've ever had the pleasure to work with and I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to enthusiasts and seasoned coders alike.

for Design Quality

Long-time user of 15zine on one site, now using Zeen on another. I like the design language on both. Still the same excellent support - responsive and helpful.

for Customizability

Hello,
I've bought a lot of Themes here and Zeen is not the best. The customization system is quite surprising but it works (pretty much). Unfortunately, I often have small mistakes here and there. Some options have no effect. The Let's review extension, provided with Zeen, works but doesn't bring up the Review tag in Google Snippet. As a result, the review doesn't have the stars in the search. The bug has been traced back to August 2019... still no resolution.

Maybe I'm a bit demanding, but that's also why I buy the themes here: for the quality.

Hi Fxreveillon,

I'm sorry to hear that, but I have to say I'm really confused over this, as I looked in the support system/emails/comments and couldn't find any tickets from you.

It's important to note that if you experience any issues with the theme, all you have to do is open a ticket and it will be investigated. If what you report is confirmed as a bug, it will 100% be fixed via a free theme update. Zeen is updated regularly, and if you look at the changelog, all reported bugs are always fixed.

Regarding the Zeen theme options: If an option doesn't appear to have an effect, it can only really either be a bug or you may be misunderstanding what the option is supposed to do, either way, if you open a ticket about it, we can 100% fix or clarify it for you :)

Regarding Let's Review's, the plugin's review schema 100% works fine and is 1000% valid. You can confirm this by checking your url in Google's data schema testing tool: https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool

What has actually happened is websites have abused the review schema with spam for a long time (remember seeing sites with "1-5 star ratings" at the end of text articles to show "review" data in the search results?), so Google made big changes last year and clamped down on them hard. They changed the schema requirements so all review schema became invalid (Let's Review got an update with the new schema requirements quite soon after). But now even if you have 100% valid review schema, Google still won't show it very often. It will only show review schema if it is convinced it is not spammy and the search intent of the searcher warrants seeing it. In short: The plugin was updated a long time ago already to update to Google's latest requirements, but you can't force Google to show anything in the search results.

And you aren't being demanding by saying this, I just wish you'd use the proper channels (support system) to ask for help with it, as a review like this can be quite damaging to a theme's reputation, especially when you haven't even given us a chance to try to help or provide you with more info about the issue (Such as the review one).

Hope you are able to open a ticket and share details. You can do it here https://codetipi.ticksy.com and If we are able to help you, I hope you can then reconsider this review.

Thanks either way,

Chris
