I see you stopped supporting a theme with over 3000 sales after only 7 months. Should we expect the same with this theme?

If I’m not mistaking, you are one of long-time The7 users. Therefore you know our attitude toward themes updates and support.
I already answered this innumerous times in Nimble, Cardamon, etc. comments. We’re not updating these themes because they cannot be updated due to usage of old and unsupported frameworks in their cores. Main issue is broken page builder. If there could be any chance to update them – we’d did it.
Though “themes are being sold as is without warranty of any kind blah blah”, it is the biggest shame in my 10+ years career to let down all those people

(You can asked your theme author that your xml import is failed in your godaddy server as there xml size is 8mb)

Prepurchase question: Can the blog and gallery pages have a background image? Being only white is a deal breaker for me.

You can set whatever general background image you like.
Also with bit of CSS editing you can add individual background images to posts/pages/projects/etc.
One more question, is it possible to display the full post content in the blog like a normal blog? I only see excerpts on the demo lists.

Unfortunately Chocolate is quite old theme and its data format is not compatible with newer themes
Probably Portfolio and Blog records will be more or less OK. However you’ll need to re-populate Albums. All you images will be available in Media Gallery so you do not need to re-upload them.
I think this theme will be perfect for my website, but I have some pre-purchase concerns. User “lsabute” mentioned that the galleries cannot be sorted, since that was 5 months ago, I was wondering if this has been fixed?
I will need to create masonry gallieries which open in a lightbox and support lazy-loading and sorting by date/name. Is this at all possible?

Please be more descriptive about these two features, so I’m 100% sure we’re talking about same things.
Galleries are not sortable, however albums (2-level galleries) are.
Almost every lightbox plugin utilizes the lazy loading. One built into Armada is no exception.
Will sorted galleries be supported in an upcoming version? I basically want the images uploaded to the WP media library to be displayed in a fullscreen page with a masonry layout. These images would then be sorted by upload date (newest at top of page)
Displaying images by date is a standard feature. I thought we’re talking about “interactive sorting/filtering”

That’s not how Galleries work in Armada. There is a “Photo Albums” post type. You upload your images to Albums (of course they’ll be present in WP Media Library as well) and can display content of desired albums on desired pages. This system is much more convenient them hand-picking every photo in WP Media Library!

Generally speaking, Armada is more lightweight, purpose build (photography) version of The7.
In the same time, The7 has more design options, more features (even related to showcasing photography stuff), better plugins compatibility and, being a multi-purpose theme with huge user-base, receives update much more frequently. It’s a bit heavier, though.
If you do not know which one to choose and do not need a “photography theme”, I recommend going for The7, as it’s more versatile.

There’s an option to add video slide in porthole slider. But there’s no auto-play feature. It must be activated by user manually
Presale question – is it possible on the home page to have an image wall where each picture links to a category page? My client can show a image and vague details about a product he designed but due to non-disclosure agreements is unable to give enough details to warrant an entire page dedicated to the product. He would prefer to have a category page and just list his design knowledge and capabilities there.

If I understood you correctly, it will be a bit tricky, but possible.
In your case image wall consist of portfolio projects. Each projects will have a “link” custom field set to desired category.

I mis-used the “custom field” words. There already is such field You do not need to add custom code whatsoever.
(I just used a technical term without realizing that it can confuse people. Sorry.)
Just purchased and downloaded the FULL package…. installed and see lots of missing items from the full install with demo content… demo content was not included in the full download ? what did I (you) miss?

Hi. I’m thinking of purchasing this theme, but will need to set it up on a dummy domain initially, then change the domain name once the site is ready. I’m setting up a new site to take over from an old one, but the old one needs to stay online until the new site is ready.
Does this have any licensing implications? It will only be active on one domain at a time. I’m guessing it requires my purchase code initially, but will it then deactivate if I change the domain name? I’m worried I won’t be able to use it once I change the domain to the final name.

There’s no problem in setting up your new site on testing domain and then moving it to main domain. No additional license required.
BTW, I recommend using a “Duplicator” plugin to easily transfer site from testing to main server 
Thanks for that. It’s actually going to be set up in the final location with a dummy hosting domain name. I’ll then modify the proper domain config to point at the new location, so strictly speaking, it won;t actually be ‘moving’ as such. I’ll still take a look at the ‘duplicator’ plugin though – could be useful in the future!

i use your theme for my own business. Since a few weeks, the contact Form doesn’t work exactly.
i fill all the fields, click “send”, the “loading circle” is turning and turning and turning …. i received the Email, but there comes no Success Message “the Message was sent successfully!” ... the status circle is always tumbling …
theres one contact form: http://www.veresdesign.de/hochzeit/you can test it. i get the mail, but no success-message after the contact form. theres no message if fields filled wrong or everything. the circle is always turning.

Can you password protect the galleries in this theme? I have not found any way to do this mentioned on your demo. Also can you just have the lightbox show a single image instead of a slider?

Hi, I have a little trouble with albums, I like the way you show albums, the issue is when you click on one album you have only 4 ways to layout the photos and I don’t like them, I would like to link the album to a “photos masonry or grid” element because it gives me more flexibility and freedom. I read a comment that there is an update coming with this feature about 6 months ago. How can I solve this?

This feature was rarely requested in Armada so we canceled it. Nevertheless, it was implemented in our The7 theme.
At this moment we’re working on unifying cores of these themes, so you can expect this feature within major update in month or two.
