Hi. What would be the best way to display my quickfinder icons 12-across in one row and also have them collapse down nicely when window is resized? It seems like the max is 4-across. I tried dividing the row into 3 columns and putting 3 quickfinder groups side-by-side-by-side but then they dont collapse very nicely. Any suggestions? Scalia looks really well thought out, but I’m a bit concerned about loading speed. It seems pages are loading tons of unnecessary javascript files (like odometer.js even if no odometer is displayed) and it hurts PageSpeed and YSlow badly. Is there a way to prevent them from loading?

Hi Chris, thanx for your request. We have made Scalia keeping in mind pagespeed results. However, if you will estimate our demo website, there is indeed a lot of things one might not need to have; still for demo purposes sometimes you need to find a trade off in optimisation and awesome graphics, effects etc. That’s why so many slides with tons of effects, many pics etc. Still the pagespeed score is not so bad, compared with other themes here on marketplace. And with each update we strive to consider further optimisations, basing also on our customers feedbacks.

Just to verify, the extended license fee of $2,950 is a one-time fee right? Also, if we were to go with this theme, how easy would it be to switch to another theme down the road (if we ever needed to)?

Hi, yes, exactly. Concerning the theme switching: actually it is not a problem at all. The only thing are the special content elements / shortcodes (like teams, testimonials etc.), which can differ from theme to theme. And after you will try to export your content made in one theme to import it to another theme, you can face some problems in displaying this special items. But if you will switch to another theme built by us, there will be no problems at all
UPDATE: Created a support ticket. “Hi, the documentation states “Scalia is provided with the set of country flags, styled in flat style suitable for Scalia design. You can find all flags in folder PSD, “Flags”. You can use these flags to display them in languge selector.” but there’s no Flags folder in the PSD folder. Where can I find the flat style flags?”

Hi. After a LOT of research as to which theme and page builder to use, I’m very interested in getting a few questions answered about the Scalia theme. I’m looking to change our company’s current (custom) theme to something more functional and modern. I’m already familiar with Visual Composer so I was glad to see that this is supported, however I still have the following questions:
1) Is Scalia compatible with Visual Composer version 4.10? 2) Is Scalia compatible with Wordpress version 4.4.2? 3) What exactly is “Multilingual Ready”? This term is listed under your “Our Services” section on the following page: http://codex-themes.com/scalia/starting_page/themes.php?page=header-2 4) Can I buy a regular license now, build the site using Scalia theme, get it approved by key people in my company, and THEN purchase the extended license right before the site goes live? 5) Is Scalia compatible with MapifyPro plugin (version 2.3.5)? I’ve already built a very detailed interactive map on our current website and would love to be able to incorporate this into the new Scalia theme.

1) yes 2) yes 3) this means, that Scalia is fully compatible and perfectly works with WPML plugin (the best solution for translating websites and adding multiple languages, check https://wpml.org/). Of course you can also use any other translation plugins like polylang or qtranslate, as the theme’s po files are ready for translation (we have even german, russian and some more translation files included) 4) of course 5) we didn’t test it with this plugin yet, we will do it and I will send you a feedback
I can confirm, MapifyPro plugin (version 2.3.5) works perfectly with Scalia

Hi first of thanks for the awesome theme! I wanted to ask about your demo theme One page paralax. I am trying to make a paralax efekt on some of my images. made two png clouds and as I scroll i want them to move at different speeds, something similar to your demo with the cogs, except i dont need it to rotate. is there a simple way I can do this with your theme? Hi, not quite sure I did understand correctly. On iphone it should show mobile responisve look of the page. Or do you want to disable responsiveness completely somehow?
I don’t want to disable responsiveness. WHen you look I iphone, for some reason you have to scroll to the bottom of the page to get an option to choose desktop. I need that taken off completely. Can you help?

Hi, indeed my collegue didn’t understand your concern. I have tested this page on iphone 4, 5, 6 and I cannot see this screenshot you sent me. I see just a normal contact page in responsive view, no more buttons. Is it possible that you have activated some option / addon / plugin in your mobilie settings / browser settings to show you some additional help for swithcing to responsiveness? I cannot explain it otherwise.
