Hello! Great builder! I have a quick question: How do I make a Header Slider responsive, so the images don’t get cut off on the sides when the browser is resized or viewed on smaller window sizes?
I would like the whole slider to scale both on height and width so it just gets smaller as the window resizes, any help?

Hi there,
The template uses the background-size: cover property to ensure that the image covers the containing element regardless of the screen width. You can adjust this by specifically giving the container a height at different widths like so for a mobile phone:
@media all and (max-width: 767px){ .my-bg-section{ height: ###px; } }

Hi! Thank you for your response! I added the CSS rule but it only resizes the slider container and not the actual slides… I’d like the whole thing to be responsive so it resizes and the whole thing is viewable and resized…

Hey, do you plan to update the variant builder included in the package. Is there a possibility to just buy the latest version of the builder itself? I can find it included into various templates, but cannot find a version which contains only the builder but always the latest version of it.
Sorry, but we can’t provide a separated copy of Variant to update the software that comes with Launchkit, due to the nature of the product (being an offline builder) it must be rebuilt with the latest code to support the new Variant features. For now that will not be changing.

What is the result of the builder? HTML, which I can change how I want? I love the theme but I do not really want to use the builder and make the changes by myself. Is that possible?

Yes you certainly can just ignore the builder and use the template as a standard HTML template. Alternatively you can export HTML from the builder and then continue to tinker away as normal.

It will be amazing if it will be possible to have light version of variant as a component (aka WYSIWYG editor) to give customers of SaaS to build custom pages from predefined and configurable sections.
From my imagination, should be 2 components: 1. variant editor 2. variant viewer both accepts list of predefined sections (array of section-config.json) and client specific page customization (page-config.json).
Edit allows to adjust page-config, viewer displays it in responsive container.

I changed my website logo size using the below that you recommended:
.nav-1 .logo{ max-height: ##px; } perhaps start with 48px and increase from there. Place this rule in your custom.css file
If I wanted to change the size of the mobile logo, what would I need to put in the custom.css file?

Thanks for the reply.
If I put it INSTEAD of the one I had put before, then it just makes the website logo the size of the mobile logo, and nothing changes to the mobile logo size.
If I put both in, nothing changes – website has normal size, but mobile remains tiny.
I believe some other users have asked the same question but via a ticket – is this what fixed ti for them?

There isn’t an ecommerce layout for the HTML version so to take advantage of these layouts you would indeed need the WordPress version.

Launchkit is an HTML template, so as long as Wufoo outputs html, it can be embedded in the Launchkit page. Variant has no function to support this. The style of the form that is embedded in the page will not look like Launchkit, as there has been no styles for wufoo forms added in to the package.

How to use this?
Hi there,
This is an HTML template so you will need to have some understanding of uploading files via FTP, adjusting some CSS to customize etc. If this sounds too advanced you might be better off with the WordPress version which has a dashboard etc. to manage your content.

I tried the demo page builder. I couldn’t add/remove lists in price fields in contact forms. Is it only for layout and details should be edited in HTML? Thanks.
Hi, Variant does not yet have contact form editing functionality, however, you can clone the existing list items on pricing tables by using right click then clone. Then just edit the content by typing your text over it.
pre-sale question: Can I build this page and use it in iFrame to place inside an OpenCart website? I also need to create a sign up form with 8-9 input fields. Is it doable? Great job on the accessibility and designs btw!

Yes you can create a signup form but not in the builder, this will need to be done outside Variant.
As for using the page in an iframe on an OpenCart website – We’ve never seen this done but I can’t see why not.

Very nice theme but I am totally baffled as to why there is no full size image with title, small text and call to action. That seems like the most important element for a landing page.
Hey, perhaps we could help you out with this. Send us an example of this on a live site so we can get a feel for how it is to be used?
Something like http://shamsoft.net/thedocs/landing/ – minus the little text above the button and no or optional menu integration. Full size image, main title, smaller summary, and call to action button. Ideally optional little text below button and optional second button side by side though I dont know if these options are easy to do in Launchkit builder. Thank you

Apologies for the slow reply! It seems there is a block that achieves this function titled ‘Photo Slideshow’ – albeit arranged slightly differently (the image is not full screen, but instead spans about 3/4 of the screen)
