Hi,

I’m using Scalia Theme (Scalia Child Activated). I have purchased extended Visual Composer License​ also and would like to activate it, but it always error with message: “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”​ when redirected to http://www.nusantara-ict.id/wp-admin/admin.php?page=vc-updater​. VC Support said: “The issue is because the theme developer has disabled the product license tab at your end using vc_set_as_theme. You can get in touch with him and get rid of the above code from the theme to get it back.​” I’ve search within function.php or Scalia theme but couldn’t find this function. Please help. Thanks.

We maintain a site running Scalia 1.4.4, which often means updating plugin files and core files, as well as moving the site around to development environments hosted on the same server as the production site, but closed to the public.

Every time this happens we seem to run into a very peculiar situation where widgets no longer exist.

The options table ​has the information for the widgets stored where you would expect to find it (‘sidebars_widgets’​) but nothing renders in the backend, even after importing these widgets again from the production site – and if one where to export the widgets from the backend of the development site, one ends up with an export file of only 2KB – which would indicate that no data is being exported.

Any idea what’s going here?

I’ve followed it step by step, and the icons do not display correctly. You can see this here: http://jchambo.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/footer_socials_error.png as if they want to display, but they just do not.

My support has ran out for this product, but this is a standard feature your theme is supposed to be able to support, and it does not work. Please advise on a solution in resolving this.

I installed the WooCommerce plugin, and followed the steps in your description, but it doesn’t display the single products etc. like in the example.

HI i just noticed a problem with the theme and need to find a solution really fast i am using woocommerce with this theme and when a client is making a purchase of any product and doesnt fill in SOME/ANY AT ALL required fields he is still alowed to continue and finish the order. anyone can give a advice on what to do with this? much appreciated. this cannot happen

normally this isnt allowed in woocommerce i am testing this on other themes aswell and so far this only hapens with scalia

hmm so I shall pay aditional 43dollars so that you can fix an issue with your theme that I just reported and should be fixed for other clients aswell in the first place?. No thanks. I used this theme on two small personal sites and one ecommerce attempt of mine with woocommerce and it was so much headache. First two sites were fun easy to create as long as I kept it simple and didnt have to use woocommerce, but mine last project was such a pain ..you know that many strings have to be translated manually because they cant be found anywhere in either Scalia or Woocommerce .PO files? There are some issues I am having since the day I bought the theme but they werent so pressing and most of them I fixed myself. No point writing them down either as I am not a paid member anymore.

I thought about it and considering all the headache and negative comments latelly I think I pass. I just cant afford another setbacks, clients are nervous and upset with me and I just dont have time to solve stuff like this. We buy themes to make our work easier, especially with smaller clients, but i cant wait for an update to come out that will address the issues i have right now, like this for example, And when it comes out i loose my changes .. but what other chance I have my clients wont wait until he theme gets updated and HOPEFULLY fixes stuff that creates problem for us.

Please forgive me, I dont mean to be ungrateful I really liked Scalia and used it on couple of websites aswell, I am really grateful for all your hard work I am and the theme is well done but you have no idea how many problems I had with updates and all the tiny issues i had to fix myself. And I am not paying additional theme price just to fix something that shouldnt be there in the first place. I will rather move to another theme. THank you and sorry for this harsh comment I am frustrated for two weeks now because of this ecommerce project.

That’s why we need to analyze your specific case, check your installation and configuration carefully. All this is our time and we have a lot of other customers with regular support license waiting for our help. Hey This theme was last updated on 1 July 2016. Since then Visual Composer, Slider and other plugins have been updated. This is a SERIOUS Security Issue with this Theme.

Saving the Scalia Theme Option re-directs to the front-end page and never saves the settings.

Please fix your theme, vulnerabilities can have a serious security impact.

Visual Composer is NOT working! Update the theme and submit the latest Visual Composer…. I sent a message above, yet you are avoiding this. Another user messaged to you and now you are ignoring it… Please fix the issue. Scalia Theme Options are not working either. Making changes on Scalia Theme Options and then saving it redirects to the front-end website.

Hi, there is a newest version of visual composer available. But we need to check first all possible compatibility issues with our theme before releasing the update. There were too much changes in Visual Composer in the latest version. Now, Scalia uses the previous version of Visual Composer 4.12.1, it should work well. However, when i follow the documentation it is not properly being imported and just reverts me to incorrect menu and incorrect sections of the theme. Can you help me out here?

I did update the Layer Slider just a day before. Since I update the Layer slider, this stops working.

yes, I am 100% sure that there is no plugin having the conflict. Reason being is that if I set the LayerSlider from the Visual Composer directly then this works. but if I set from the page slideshow (theme feature) then this does not work.

I am trying to add the ticker but this says that support is expired. Is there any other way I can share the credentials as I do not want to make this public.

I love this theme and there are so many great features. However Visual Composer no longer works on the backend editor. So I am left to only code pages in html using the Classic Editor. I updated the theme to 1.4.4 and still no luck. Any chance you can make it compatible with Visual Composer again?

Hey Can you please update the Visual Composer and resubmit the files or simply provide the updated version of Visual composer? The Visual Composer has compatibility issues in the back-end during the edit and also a lot of updates has been released.
