Hello,

This looks like a great theme. I just have a few questions before purchasing. Is there a possibility of having a front end account profile / information? Including the possibility of Facebook login (for a profile picture)?

Best wishes

Hi there, thanks for writing in. I am afraid that if you want to achieve something like an account profile for the front end you will need to search for a third party plugin that does the trick.

This functionality is not provided in WordPress by default, but I think a plugin like this might work: https://wordpress.org/plugins/profile-builder/

Let me know if this helps!

John

create theme, but the instagram plugin only works with my instagram id and not with the instagram id from my wife …

H there! Make sure that her profile is not private, otherwise it should definitely work. If you need further help please open a ticket at http://codestag.com/support

Thanks!

John

Hi. The Latest Post widget on the widgedizet page (SEE ALL POSTS) seems to link to the page the widget is included, so you can not see all the posts. I can change this in recent-posts.php, but i will be overwritten by an update of the theme. Is there an other way to link it to the right page (in my case the homepage). Thanks, Veronique

Thanks for bringing this up, there was an oversight by our sight at the widget. We have already pushed an update that fixes this. The button at the custom section with the blog posts will take the user to the page where the posts are pulled from. If the section shows all posts regardless categories, it will take the user to the blog page.

Thanks

John

Hi, Is there a way to use the same height for all the header photo’s? For example the height of a widgedized page is different from a “normal” page. Even if I use the same photo. Thanks, Véronique

Hi there. This was done on purpose, since for static pages a full-screen cover would not be so intuitive if the page content was not adequate. However you can fine tune the height of the cover by overriding it with some custom css.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you

Thanks!

Hi, Before to buy Ink, Is it possible to try somewhere (on one of your hosting for example?) to custom your theme ? I would try, because i have already buy another theme like yours, and i find it too complicated to use to make it simple. It is for a blog website. Many thanks to your answer.

Hi there, thanks for writing in. Unfortunately we do not offer theme demo try-outs, but Ink is quite easy to follow.

I see that you have already purchased it though, so feel free to visit our support desk at http://codestag.com/support if you want help setting things up.

Also, make sure that you go through the documentation provided online here: http://bit.ly/2mxEyWr

Many thanks! John

Hi there! I have a few questions about your INK theme.

1. With the latest update do you have the option to create a static menu at the top of the theme instead of the pop out via the hamburger menu button?

2. Do any of the formatting options allow you to list your posts in text only or text with a smaller picture?

3. Is there an option to make the homepage more of a landing page instead of a posts page (via widgets or formatting other than customized CSS etc)?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there, thanks for your interest in Ink. To quickly answer your questions:

1. Yes, you definitely can choose between an overlaid style and a traditional menu over a white header.

2. There is a custom widget that outputs a section of the latest blog posts over a background image. It’s the “latest posts” section at this page: http://demo.codestag.com/ink/widgetized/

3. Yes, Ink offers a complete flexibility over this. You can create custom layouts based on widget sections. You can as many “widgetized” pages as you want, and definitely use one for your homepage. The link i shared above is an example of such a page. For the demo though we decided to have a standard homepage with the blog posts, but this is totally up to you.

Let me know if there is anything else I can clarify, happy to help.

Thanks! John

Hi Codestag,

We integrate this theme for blog website. it’s work good. but we facing one issues using [gallery] shortcode images in iphone mobile browser. Right now we load post and pages using ajax. So when we click on any post in iphone mobile browser then in post page we added images using [gallery] shortcode are not display. But when we reaload the page then this images display. So did you have any code for [gallery] shortcode, that is not working and not showing images when page loads using ajax.?

If you have any solutions for this then please replay. visit this http://stage.workwithmad.com/ url from on iPhone browser and click on any post. So you can see issues…

Thanks.

Hey guys, Restrict Content Pro just dropped big update. Will there be theme update soon? Details here https://restrictcontentpro.com/2017/02/08/version-2-7-released/

Hi there, thanks for writing in. We are aware of the update, and we will push an update by next week. Everything should work smooth anyway, as our last update was only weeks ago.

Stay tuned! We love RCP as well.

Thanks! John

How can I go back to the version before the latest update. It broke my design modifications. I need the latest version before 2.1X

Hi, I think I already answered your message through email. Sad to hear this, we always suggest to use a child theme for any design modifications. Please open a ticket at our support desk at http://codestag.com/support and we will gladly get you the files.

Thanks! John

Oh… I did use a childtheme. Fixed it in the meantime but still… links display and some structure had changed … so I had to reintegrate the files I copied into my childtheme and reapplied my modifications.

Hi there!

I was trying to enable the hide/show option for comments, but it’s not working. Regardless of what I choose in theme customization, the disqus comments are always visible and expanded.

Can you please give me a help?

Hi, the show / hide feature only works with default WordPress comments, and not a plugin like disqus. For any support requests kindly use our support desk at http://codestag.com/support

thanks! John

Any updates on fixing the CSS problem with “agree to terms”? See here for reminder

https://www.screencast.com/t/tq6PqftY

Hi there. If you have opened a ticket to our support desk, we should have given you a hotfix for this until this is checked and put into the list for the next update.

I would not call a problem actually, since it refers to styling elements of an external plugin as far as I see, but in any case it is good to refine as much as possible, so thanks again for your input.

John

About a year ago, davidlemayian asked this same question:

How can I remove WIDGETIZED CONTENT from coming up in the search results?

Hi there, thanks for writing in. Please open a ticket at http://codestag.com/support and we will gladly take a look. Make sure you share an example with the issue.

Thanks! John

And one more thing! Can you place “About author” Text and small profile photo in the end of a post??

Hi again, as I said at my earlier comment, this functionality is not built in but you can use a plugin to do so. Anything similar to this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/author-bio-box/

Thanks! John

Nice work! I wanna get this. Just before getting this, I wanna ask you. I will have use this for our team magazine site. We have some editors who post articles in the site. In this case can we have author pages for each of editors?? and can we embed the link(to the author page) in author name on a post ??

Hi, thanks for writing in. Each author has a dedicated page automatically, for example: http://demo.codestag.com/om/author/john/

For the “about author” box, there are numerous plugins that do this trick, this functionality is not built into the theme but any plugin should work well.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you :)

Thanks

John

Hi there, great update this one! I’ve noticed you added a “scroll this” to every post, and it’s great, but my site isn’t in English, but in Portuguese. Can you please tell me where I can find this string so I can translate it?

Hi there, this is editable via the theme options. Go to Appearance > Customize > Theme options > Post settings and make sure that you edit the “Post Cover Scroll Text” field.

You should be good to go then. For further help/support kindly open a ticket to our support desk at http://codestag.com/support

Thanks! John

Thanks! It worked great :)

Is there a way to load most posts when you scroll down the list – something like “infinite scroll”. I know there are plugins out there, but can you recommend any that will work with the theme or is this something you can add in the future?

Hi there, thanks for writing in. Ink does not support infinite scroll for now, and we have not tested with any plugin, so feel free to give it a try. Also worth noting is that Jetpack plugin has an infinite scroll module, perhaps you would be interested in trying this one first.

Thanks! john

One more quick one, hopefully I don’t need to go thru headache of support ticket.

I want to center the stag buttons on the site.

What do I add to stag button short code to center the button on a page? I tried align=”center” and it didn’t work. Please let me know.

Thank you in advance.

this is slightly more complicated, I’d love to help at the support desk. Thanks!

Great work on the latest version! Love it!

But it seems like I have run into a few bugs I just wanted to give you a heads up on.

1) If you use a stag icon in the Side Drawer Widget Area, they will have a underline as a link. I don’t think they should? Seems a little weird.

2) On a widgetized page there seems to be something wrong with text colour. Even if it is a dark page, it will also make the text dark and not very reading friendly.

Hi there!

I’d appreciate if you could post this in our support desk at http://codestag.com/support where we track and monitor all our theme support communication.

Make sure you include a link to your site.

Many thanks! John

I don’t have active support anymore, so I’m not able to do that. It also seems like the <title> is doubled up on the page. Maybe this could be a wordpress version issue, will try to upgrade to 4.7.

The <title> issue was solved by upgrading to latest Wordpress code :-)

I love your theme. It’s one of the best I’ve ever used and I’ve used many…

Nevertheless it would be great to have a version history on your theme forest page. For two reasons: To know more about fixed bugs or added features and to see more clearly that you are still improving it.

I also got two emails yesterday about a new update but I don’t know which is the latest version number. Can you please let me know?

Hi there, sure. Here is an online changelog: http://demo.codestag.com/ink/wp-content/themes/ink/changelog.txt

This is also included inside the theme files that you will download. We look forward to your feedback on this, as you see it is a major update stylistically and code-wise. Thanks!
