Hi, I bought this a while back and have used it on a site but want to update it a bit. I don’t really want to mess about rebuilding the pages so just wanted to know how do I convert the transparent header to a black one?
I just tried copying the header from the index-blog2 to my pages but all I ended up with was a transparent above the header, so I must be doing something wrong – and probably the version I’m using is 18 months or so old.
The header I’m using starts like this:
<header id=”nav” class=”header header-1 black-header”>Any help appreciated, as the transparent header is useless when the images are light-coloured. I’d actually like the header to start at 60% opacity (not 100%) because that’s what I set the sticky header at.

I tried looking at the docs but they don’t say anything about it at all. Just what js is where, stuff like that.
Your transparent header has a fault. The exact same fault applies to the version I downloaded in 2015 and the current one, and your demo. It also applies (exactly the same) to your wordpress demo (just tested it with chrome and firefox).
Between 1041px and 1025px the sticky header goes transparent, which means if you have white text and a white logo (on a dark background) it disappears. I don’t use a tablet but unless I’m mistaken that’s going to hit a few tablets.
I’m now going to have to work out how to hide the dodgy sticky header. I was going to disable it, but it isn’t mentioned how in the docs.
With regards changing the header colour I no longer need advice on that. I need to get this site sorted out today and it’s all so complicated that I gave up and changed the images instead.
A fix for the sticky header vanishing would be appreciated though.

Maybe you mean the transition from the standard menu to mobile view, for example, on the index-sticky-header-on-mobile.html page.
This is done specifically for customers who need a transparent header on mobile, if desired, you can make the background become dark or any other color. This is one of the many variations of the headers presented in the template.
You can test work of the template on real devices. Real devices with a resolution in the range of 1041px-1025px, for example with a resolution of 1037px or 1023px does not exist.
There are industry standards, the Ipad, for example, has a resolution of 768×1024, with DPR 2.0 is 2048×1536, Nexus 7 600×960, with DPR 2.0 is 1920×1200 and so on.

Okay, I’ll take your word on no devices of that size. I have around 100 different sites and I must confess that I’ve never seen responsive css that leaves gaps at certain sizes, but if there are no devices at those screen sizes I suppose it’s a valid point.
On the site I’m using this on, url I’m not posting here, the sitcky menu works fine down to 1041px, and is 65% black (I believe). At 1041 it goes transparent but remains in place. At 1025px the mobile menu transitions in and ‘affix’ is added to the relevant div class.
I believe I bought this item when support was not limited in time, and I think I was one of your first buyers. It’s a policy that has seen me stop buying from envato because it encourages wp authors to introduce faults / bugs and changes that damage previous versions in order to force them to pay for more support. It’s robbery, frankly. Anyway, I was reporting what I see as a bug.
All that said, as I said myself, I decided to change the photography because I wanted to finish updating the site last night, so thank you for the suggestions ref changing from transparent to solid colour. I actually copied the entire header from one solid colour page to a transparent page but that didn’t do the job so I gave up.
I have to say I like this template a lot and would almost certainly have bought it if it were not for envato’s bleed-em dry support policy. I rarely need support for anything, but it’s the principle.
Anyway, nice theme. It has never given me any problems (other than my query here) snce buying it in mid 2015. That’s more than I can say for most..

However, the same issue was hitting your two demos last night between 1041 and 1025 (reduce to the screen sizes, scroll down and watch the stick header). But like I say, no problem if no devices exist at that size. I was only testing, not using with a real device.

I have some issues with the page settings with PHP 7.1 in my server. With PHP 5.6 is ok.
The problem is that i set some page options in page post type (Not in haswell theme options) and that options are not setted. The page tamplate is set as boxed instead of full with and other options are changed.
I need some help. I want to up to date php for performance and security but i have trouble with this.

Hi, excellent template, but I have a problem with this:
I have modified the template in dreamweaver and everything is perfect, in the local folder when I open it the site show like I want, but when loading the site to the server (FTP), the photos, background images and logo do not appear in the site, all images are in the correct folder, When I edited it, each image retained the original name and location.
Why the site only works when I open as a local navigator, but not when is in the server? Why does this happen?

It’s strange. Check the url of your pictures. Most likely the url will be on the local file system (“C:/../.../images/intro/index.jpg” instead “images/intro/index.jpg”)

Hi, my site is running with Joomla 3.7.5 and Haswell 1.0 I know that there is an issue with some components, which are not compatible to Joomla 3.8.x
What about the Haswell-template – can i just upgrade Joomla to J3.8.1?
What about the CMS Blue Pagebuilder? This looks like it is based on SP PAGE BUILDER. Here also this needs v2.53. Older versions will make troubles with J3.8.
Can I just install the SP PAGEBUILDER, will it work with HASWELL?

1) Sorry, didn’t quite understand your question. Please describe it in more detail if you can send screenshots via email.
2) To do this, you need customize style.css and main.js (affix off function for small screens). But this principle of the menu (when it is not fixed on mobile devices) is made specifically for the convenience, in order to maximize the useful screen area on mobile devices. If necessary return to the header – is always a button “back to top”, which automatically rewinds the page quickly. This saves important screen area on small screen for useful purposes.
