1) I don’t need the hamburger menu icon to display how do I remove this please?
2) How do I remove author name and icon. I have tried the css code supplied for previous questions for several fixes but the author code hasn’t worked? i.e. .vw-post-author { display: none; }
3) How do I remove the g+ logo from the footer and include Instagram instead?
4) I’ve managed to lose the ‘READ MORE’ text from the bottom of the blog and just have the arrow left – any idea how I get this back? 
5) Where it says ‘Sponsor’ in the sidebar, can I edit this text? Is it possible to remove it if necessary and just have the ad image?

I recently updated the new template and now the tabs which were created no longer work and they are not visible when you click on it. Also a lot of the shortcodes from the typography etc seem to be disable now and not working. The menu bar on mobile for chrome for android isn’t working. When you click on preview it doesn’t show and you now have to hit update. Can you please advise or update bugs. I bought the template years ago and it seemed to have been working prior to updating to the new update. Please advise. Greatly appreciate it!

Anyway, Please disable all plugins and try re-install theme with theme’s plugin.
Last version I had was March 4, 2017. I have deleted a few plugins. Ok I will delete the plugins and reinstall and see if that works.

Hey man! Still love the theme on my site! I just downloaded the newest update and I cannot install the Sprout-Theme-Options-Panel plugin because it has an invalid header.
I know my support license has expired, but I’m hoping you can double check your files. I extracted and rezipped, and there’s no additional zip files in the panel folder, so I’m at a loss. I’ve tried installing from the required plugins section, through plugin upload, and through FTP. I cannot activate it.

Ok I have updated to 1.7.9 via FTP and I’m getting this message:

If you just remove the link and preserve author and date, The only way is editing the parent theme file. Please open this file ‘themes\sprout\inc\template-tags.php’ and go to line 525. You will see the code like this

Remove the A tag as you want.
For sidebar, All files in ’/sprout/inc/’ is a core file, not a template file. It can’t be overridden from child theme. You need to edit the file in parent theme only.

Please go to ThemeForest download page and download “All files and documentation”. Unzip the downloaded file and plugin file will be found at ’/Plugins/sprout-theme-options-panel.zip’. Just use that zip file for installation at ‘Plugins > Add New’.

Looks like you’re using PHP 5.3 which is not supported by Simple Image Sizes plugin (it’s requires PHP 5.6.33 ).
I suggest you to update php. PHP 5.3 is very outdated and not supported by many plugins.

For favicons 1. Please remove all assigned image from favicon option in theme options panel. Wordpress is now having this function. 2. Prepare image file. It must be square, and at least 512 pixels wide and tall. 3. Go to Administration Screen > Appearance > Customize 4. Click Site Identify 5. Click Select Image at Site Icon section, upload the image file you prepared in the above step from Upload Files tab screen, and click Select.

I am using ACF pro, but when enabled, I can’t change the category blog layout design. It saves the value but the page doesn’t change to the new layout.
Also, when ACF Pro is activated, I’m unable to use the VW Simple Page composer template for pages.
Both of these functions/features work when ACF Pro is disabled.
I’ve tried using the VW ACF DISABLE LITE plugin and have the same issue if the plugin is disabled or enabled.

I even stopped using the child theme in hopes that it would resolve the issue, but doesn’t .The issue still exists when not using the child theme. Let me know if you need any other information.

This seems to have resolved the issue.
Nevermind… with those fixes in place ACF doesn’t work at all. None of the data in ACF shows, despite having the right code in the child theme. And sidebars stop working at all on pages. Going to roll back this “fix”.
Figured out the ACF not displaying issue. It looks like the main theme vs the child theme was activated. Still missing sidebars. Your quick fix is still in place. Will test more and see what I can find. Missing sidebars on pages is weird though. Should I submit a new request to hunt down the solution for that?
Basically, we have a page that was full width. We changed it to non-full width, and have it set to default sidebar, but it doesn’t have a sidebar showing. Creating a new page from scratch has a sidebar by default. Trying different sidebar options don’t seem to do anything.

I just install a beta version at ‘themes/sprout178’ (it currently activated) and the problem seems gone. Could you please check it again for confirmation?
The issue still exists. If you edit the About Page on the stage site you have access to, you’ll see that that page doesn’t show a sidebar. No matter what settings I change, that page won’t show a sidebar.
There is no problem for about page. The image widget in the Page Sidebar has no image. I just add a text widget and it can be shown like this https://imgur.com/xLLK0vf
