Thanks for the great theme. Having a couple issues I need help with.
First, I cant seem to get the contact form to work. I filled in name, and email and left the rest blank. Then sent an email to myself to test. no luck.

I want to change the opacity of the yellow background without affecting the content (the text etc.) can you point me to the part of the style sheet that only changes the BG, because the part i found changes the opacity of everything including the text.
2) Where do I go on my dash to change the about text you have on the bottom by the music player?

1) Please change 3rd parameter of rgba background under #nostalgia-tab-content in style.css file (line 1143). Now the value is 0.9. If you’re using custom bg color please change that value also in header.php file, line 50.
2) Appearance->Theme Options->Background->Background title
HELLO , here you can find screenshot for the iPhone problem. It looks like the website doesn’t want to resize at the iPhone screen resolution. In the preview of Nostalgia in theme forest it works much better.

I’ve installed the theme and started adding pages but have a few questions…
1. how do I get the portfolio/about/service pages to appear? I tried adding content and publishing but the pages don’t show up in my menu?
2. Can I change the name of the portfolio page to suit my content?
3. Can I place a logo in the box where the site name appears?

I’m new to Wordpress and don’t understand how to use shortcodes? I took a look in the documentation but it doesn’t help with my limited WP knowledge.
I tried using the dummy content but got an error because the xml was too large. You recommended that I split it but I also don’t know how to do that?

Hi, I have figured out most of my problems with the theme and I love the theme! So glad I bought it! 2 questions left-
1.HOW CAN I MAKE IT SO WHEN YOU CLICK ON THE LOGO RECTANGLE OR THE CONTENT ICON THE PAGE WILL RETURN TO THE SAME THING THAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CLICK THE THE MENU “X” BUTTON ?
2. Can I add Descriptions to the individual portfolio galleries? Perhaps above the thumbnails or somewhere?

Yes you need to change that on your ftp (or via wordpress editor – Appearance->Editor). Or change locally, then install the theme again.
the bottom container, as I know the top one is an opaque yellow, as i would like the background image to show through.

You can change the color from colorpicker. You can find it under page editor in Options box. Opacity can be changed from style.css file (#nostalgia-tab line 1111).
To remove accordion please open portfolio_post_type.php and replace that line:
$output .= '<div class="nostalgia-accordion">';with:<pre>$output .= '<div>';</div></pre></div>

I’ve installed this great theme and I love it except that only posts are showing in the menu. There is no “blog” or “portfolio” or “contact” appearing in my menu. I’ve tried adding portfolio items and posts, but its only PAGES that show up in my menu. PLEASE HELP !
You need to add pages and then use appropriate shortcodes (more in documentation). For blog, please set blog template for a page.

in the Blog Page :
I would like to hide the ” Recent Posts”, “Recent Comments”, “Archives”, from displaying at the top of the page. Right now, they display bellow the “Categories” section, and take up a tremendous amount of space before the actual posts bellow.

Quick Question -
Contact Form: How to I edit the default text that appears inside the boxes : “Your Name”; “Your E-Mail Address”; “Message” ? I would like to change each of those.
I found reference to changing the “Send” text within the shortcodes.php file, but have not been able to change the text that appears in the other boxes.

Observations (as someone who has purchased and implemented 20 or so themes from ThemeForest). First, you have a designer’s eye – Nostalgia, like your other themes, is beautiful. I was also able to set up most of the theme in about 20 minutes.
Challenges: Poor documentation and far too much custom coding is required for things that should be more easily added, edited, etc. A simple example: There are two obvious locations for a logo: the text box at bottom and the graphic cube up top. Neither is obvious and requiring HTML image source code is outdated. Also, there are no dimensions for proper scaling. Custom code should be for truly custom requirements, not logos.
I would urge you to test drive a really well documented and deployable theme like Karma, then try to mimic that with your own themes. You’d be a monster success if you did.

Thank you for your observations. We still working on that theme and there will be updates in the future (that with logo is ready, will be added soon). Your thoughts are usefull for us, it’s always good to hear client opinion and leads for improvements.

Love the look of the theme and the great comments… one question before buying… does “fully customizable” mean that it is possible to remove the black graphic on the top corner of the pages? Is it possible to substitute that for my own logo?

Yes, you can disable that graphic. If you would like to use your custom one, then you need to replace one of my graphics with your.
is there a easy quick way to get the audio to stop playing when clicking on video file?
Do you mean the audio from yourtube or vimeo video?

Hi there, love this theme, I’m currently building our company portfolio with it! Only issue I’m having at the moment is I can’t work out what order the portfolio items are displayed in their category. ie. in one category its showing the portfolio items as oldest to newest, and in another category newest to oldest…..its best if it shows newest in each category as its our most recent work…any ideas?

Hi, thanks for that, although it hasn’t changed anything, everything is still in the same order. Just seems weird that in on of my categories its in one order, and in another its the opposite order.

Which version are you using? The newest is 3.1, if you have older one, please redownload. After you add portfolio items (please note that you need to set featured image for each), please put on the page [nostalgia_portfolio] shortcode. If you would like to display categories, please use category attribute:

Thank you for the fast response! your hint for my first question works in my case close to 100%. But as you can see on the screenshot (http://www.tinouhle.com/screen.png) there´s still a problem with the logo ´cause it is a transperent .png and the div is defined by template background-color. Any ideas? Maybe I´m not the only one and maybe it´s an idea for a later update (rather nice2have)
The second point: I would like to have the description under the “photography / landscape” headline but before the gallery.

You would like to hide the right part of the logo under the content or make content bg transparent? You can set transparency value under #nostalgia-tab-content in style.css file or for custom colors in header.php file. Just change 0.9 value in background-color:rgba(255,192,0,0.9);
About description you need to make some changes in portfolio_post_type.php file. You can add something in line 225 after h3 (that’s portfolio header).
