I am considering purchasing your MEGABYTE theme but I have a few questions before doing so.
1 – supporting ecommerce can mean a lot; can I add any payment gateway/processor or is there a limitation? If there is a limitation, can you provide a list of payment gateways this theme supports?
2 – can the slider be changed to a video instead of an image(s)?
1) Yeah, we have ecommerce support built-in. This is provided via the plugin WooCommerce. The built-in payment processors that are supported are: PayPal, Stripe, Amazon, Square, Payfast, eWay, Klarna.

Megabyte is powered by the Seriously Simple podcasting plugin, not Blubrry. So you will need to use that instead of PowerPress if you want to use our theme. They are both very similar, however we found Seriously Simple Podcasting be superior.

Sure, the player in the demo is the default WordPress player. We have added a custom skin that you see which is included with the theme. No additional purchases are necessary to use our theme.

All of the podcasts are managed via WordPress. If you provide users with an a contributor account, they can login and publish podcasts on their own. As a contributor they would only be able to submit content and would not be able to edit anything else.

1) Yes both themes have the same podcast and audio features. The main difference is the design and color schemes.
2) Our theme has built-in support for RSS feeds. It will automatically generate feeds with iTunes/Google/Stitcher Support.

2) Sorry my question wasn’t clear enough. I already have a podcast live with a RSS feed hosted (by anchor.fm) : do you need to copy the embed html code of any podcast episode hosted to make it work on the website in place of the audio player (shown for instance here https://megabyte.progressionstudios.com/podcast/episode-52-artist-corner-with-steven/ or on the homepage V1 : with the soundcloud example it isn’t integrated at the same place https://megabyte.progressionstudios.com/podcast/episode-41-using-podcasting-to-learn/ )
Is it possible to add a lightweight video on the background of the homepage (and not a still image, as on this website for instance http://negatif.co/ ? Same question about the images at the top of posts (ex. here https://megabyte.progressionstudios.com/podcast/episode-52-artist-corner-with-steven/)
2) I am not familiar with anchor.fm but here are some more details to help you out. If you are linking to a .mp3 file hosted by anchor.fm, then it would appear in our custom player like so: https://megabyte.progressionstudios.com/podcast/episode-52-artist-corner-with-steven/ However if ancho.fm has it’s own player and provides you with embed code, it would display like the Soundcloud example: https://megabyte.progressionstudios.com/podcast/episode-41-using-podcasting-to-learn/
In terms of RSS, if you want to continue using anchor.fm for your feed that is no problem. The site will generate an RSS feed but you can just ignore it and use it.
3) Sorry but there is no option for video backgrounds in either of those areas.

2) Will I have the ability to continue building pages outside of the native templates that come with this theme? For example, if I’d like my homepage to look slightly differently?

Hi, I’m interested to buy Megabyte theme. Before I have some questions about: 1. Is possible to customize various text in layout? I wanted to use differents google fons in different part of the theme? sample: fot title h1, h2, h3, ecc… in static pages = “Roboto” – in posts h1, h2, h3 etc.., buttons, and header menu = “Source Sans Pro” – for post text “Fira Mono” and finaly for hour, date, category, author, ecc … in posts = “Fira Sans”. Yeah, our theme supports RSS feeds. These are created for you automatically when you add your podcast posts. Yes, you can upload audio from your podcasts directly to any hosting provider. You do not need any special settings.

Loving this layout! I’m new to site building using themes, but wanted to ask the overall tone of the theme feels a little a little darker than what I would want for my branding. Is it safe to assume that the dark overlays on the images can be disabled or removed once I purchase? Thank you in advance.

1) The homepage post slider will support content and audio. We do not have a full width video option. However you can display full width video using the page builder without the slider. There is also a third option that is an additional slider page builder element that allows for video backgrounds.
2) Yes, you can use a different player if you want. You can use any WordPress audio player.

I am interesting in buying the template. However, i noticed the download option doesn’t appear to work when using Safari.
Are you referring to the download button? If so, I can assure you it does indeed work. Please not that safari opens the link automatically as this is the function of Safari. If you want to download it to your computer, you can right click on it to download. You can do this either via the download link or the player that autoplays if you click on the link first.

We do not have a frontend account creation features, however WordPress does allow for users to register. This would be via the default WordPress login/registration page. If you wanted to add front-end logins/username accounts, you could use a plugin like: https://wordpress.org/plugins/theme-my-login/
