Hi, few pre-sales questions:
1) Like “Category”, is there a feature of “Tags”? If yes, can I add Tags section in the sidebar just like Categories? And show Tags on the posts on home page? 2) Does it allow “links” to be put in the body of the article? 3) Is there option to customize the layout for the blog page? Say i want slider on top, with 2 column-grid with sidebar, without any Large post before Grid? 4) Is there an option to show a caption along with the Header and Description for blogs listed on home page (in preview mode)?

To answer your queries, if you’re referring to the specially styled “Categories” widget in the sidebar, sorry that’s only for categories. For tags, there’s a “tag cloud” instead that lists all the tags. Tags do show at bottom of posts (you can see it by opening a post).
2. Sure, that’s a default WordPress feature supported by all themes.
3. You can use the WPBakery Page Builder (included) to create such a layout with more advanced control.
4. If you’re referring to caption for the featured image of the post, it’s possible when using the “Large” post style. The caption can’t be visible on other styles due to limited space.

Cheerup Theme has added padding around header logo above page title, so it doesn’t look like any of the demos. Instead of a nice normal sized logo in the demos, I’ve got an enormous logo that requires a substantial amount of scrolling to just even get to the page title.
I wonder if this has to do with the slider not being added yet (leaving extra blank space?). If that’s the case, the slider instructions say to tag the “posts” you want to feature, but I don’t want the slider to feature posts, I want it to feature photos. Tags go on posts, not photos, so I’m confused about how to get the slider to work.

Problem installing plugin recommended for the theme. Error message: “Installation failed: Destination folder already exists”. This plugin is one of the recommended ones for the CheerUp theme, but it will not install. Obviously it’s not installed already, so it can’t just be activated or deleted.
Please help! Clients are unable to contact me ever since I bought this theme.

Hi, I noticed in the AMP version the featured slider does not show. Is there a fix for this to make the slider show, or at least just eliminate the empty space where it should be and include the posts in normal format?

Generally we don’t recommend enabling AMP for homepage as Google only makes special use of AMP for articles/single posts/pages. You can configure where AMP is enabled from AMP > General and under “Supported Templates” select Posts and Pages only. I was wondering if there is a way to limit the number of items in the shop, in other words to set a maximum quantity to the items.
So for example if there was a limited number of a specific shoe (or any other product) that could be sold – I would like to make sure not to take any orders on products that we’ll not be able to deliver.

Thanks for writing to us. The shop feature comes from WooCommerce. You can try out WooCommerce plugin on any theme to learn more about it first. And yes WooCommerce does have a feature for quantity and when a product runs out, it can show out of stock.

However there would need to be a frontend output of the maximum quantity, which I am guessing would be part of the theme? Also there would need to be an error message in case the max qty is surpassed.
Are those outputs part of the theme or of Woocommerce?

So the images should not be darkened – Like for example with the fashion slider. The images have no dark overlay.

First ensure that you’re uploading the file cheerup.zip (if you downloaded the whole package, you will find it after extracting the package) – you can read the installation instructions. If it’s still the same issue, it’s most likely a file upload limitation or a very low timeout on your webhost. You will have to contact your webhost and have them look at their error logs.

This most likely is caused by having a very old version of WPBakery Page Builder or “Visual Composer” installed. Deactivate and delete them and then if you need them, install from CheerUp > Install Plugins.
