Yes, you can install the theme on several domains but as the Envato rules theme licenses are for 1 singular website so we can support our theme for only 1 domain.

If I wanted to have a homepage with a slider instead of in a carousel can this be done – just a normal slider around the same as the images in the list carousel demo
And in the list carousel demo the video of girl smiling how is that put into the slider? is it HTML5 video option? i may look at this design for the basis of a video streaming site, thanks

Yes, all the videos in showcase layouts are HTML5 videos so you can stream your videos.
