Hello. I am getting this error message in the web console:
Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://gametolearnjapanese.com/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure font ‘http://gametolearnjapanese.com/wp-content/themes/kappa/assets/webfonts/fa-regular-400.woff2'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.
This is causing the icons and whatnot to not load. How do I fix this?

I suggest that you navigate to Settings > General and set the HTTPS for these two URLs, see screenshot.

I already had https for the site url and the wordpress url. I think it is a different problem

I guess I found the issue, did you use the SiteGround CSS combination/minify feature? if so, I suggest that you disable the option, the icons will work fine.

Correction. The slider is elongated vertically, but when you press one of the slider’s arrow icons, it changes to its appropriate size

The issue occurs when the SiteGround Optimizer and the Smush plugins are active, very strange, honestly, I’m not sure why it happens, I will try my best to find the answer and would be back If I found something.

Are you sure? When I deactivate the two mentioned plugins and clear my browser cache the problem still persists.
Now the problem persists for a few second. When that post has the featured image the problem persists until I press one of the arrows on the slider.
Think its got something to do with lazily loading of images?
I think its fixed not. I think it was the “lazy load thumbnails” functionality on the SG Optimizer plugin that was messing everything up

Is there away to install this theme with out using the FTP Client? I am using AWS i don’t have a FTP Client on there I can SSH using a key for the password. Wordpress don’t allow me to use that key to give your theme access

You can navigate to Appearance -> Add New Themes -> Upload page. Select kappa.zip file. Press the Install Now button to upload and install the theme.
After uploading the theme, you have to activate it. Navigate to Appearence -> Themes page to activate the theme.

Hello, I purchased your theme and I love the simplicity and design of it but I’m running into an issue with the menus. The demo page shows Home, Features, News, Reviews, etc, but I can only get one menu to show up on mine if I set it to ‘primary’ All of the other menus I’ve made do not appear unless I check the ‘primary menu’ box. Since you can only have one Primary menu at a time, I can only have one menu up there at a time. Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong?
I would like to have a few more buttons on my menu that link to catagegories that i’ve defined like news, guides, etc. This is my website and as you can see, I can only get ‘home’ menu to show.

Please disregard my question, I was able to work it out by reading your previous responses. I needed to create a menu via wordpress instead of the theme and then just use theme to put it on the menu area. I’m new to theme forest and couldn’t find the answer online. Thanks!

Kappa supports one location for a custom WordPress menu – the Primary Menu:
The Primary Menu supports 4 levels of drop-downs, for menu setup, navigate to the Appearance > Menus page. Enter a name for your menu and add links to the menu by using the options given on the left sidebar. You can manage your menus using the drag and drop functionality (screenshot)
After setting up your menu, check on Primary Menu checkbox and save changes (screenshot).

Hello, the theme is working great so far but sometimes I get confused with little things.
For example, I would like to add a category widget on the side of the website. I can add the categories but i cant put a label on them that matches the kappa widgets (black rectangle with an orange highlight on the left).

Keep in mind that if you use WordPress 5.8, the Block-based Widgets have no widget title as the classic widget page, if you want to switch to the classic page, you can activate this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-widgets/

It worked thanks. But i have another issue… the {kappa} socials is not working. it appears empty on the website. and even the header and footer icons have disappeared
Hello, you can set up your social icons at Appearance > Theme Options > Socials panel, did you try that?
I have and the options are set to display them. The problem is sometimes they disappear and my website becomes fast and loads perfectly fine but when they appear the website becomes slow. I contacted the support from the host and they said everything is working fine and helped me boost it but still the website is slow. Could there be an issue with the theme because I have tried everything and nothing seems to solve the issue. Kindly help me out.
Found out what the issue is. Kappa shortcode plugin. When it is activated the website goes very slow. and when it is off everything goes normal and fast. Is there something you can do about that ?

It’s a theme options plugin, if you deactivate it, you cannot access the theme options page.
Could you share the debug log file content? I will have a look into it:- Step 1: Enable debugging mode
- Step 2: Activate the plugin.
- Step 3: Share this file wp-content/debug.log

I’ve recently purchased your Kappa theme and installed on my site, however it seems I cannot for my life make the featured posts slider work. I installed it as the documentation say, into the featured slot, and I tried to use all categories, all tags and even post IDs, but it always show “nothing found”. - I see, You should upload the featured images for your posts (read How to Add Featured Images or Post Thumbnails in WordPress)
The widget will not retrieve the empty featured image posts.

2. Navigate to Appearance > Menus and drag the Review category to the menu (screenshot).
3. Save changes.

1. Have you imported the demo content? if not yet, following the steps below:- Step 1 Go to Tools > Import
- Step 2 Click on WordPress and click “Install Now” button.
- Step 3 Click Activate Plugin & Run Importer.
- Step 4 Click on the “Choose File” button and choose the data.xml file, which is included in “All files and documentation” package file, click “Upload file” and import.
- Step 5 Click on “Download and import file attachments”, and click the Submit button.
- Navigate to Appearance > Widgets
- Add the “Custom HTML” widget into the Header sidebar
- Paste your AdSense code into the widget content
- Save changes.

I have just purchased and installed it on www.phyberx.de and would like to create blog posts like in your Preview/Features: “Review Post, Gallery Post, Video Post” and so on but i cannot find the template for these. In the Templates i can only find “Standard” “Redux Canvas” “Redux Contained” “Redux Full width” or in the other template section “Default” “Fullwidth Thumbnail Image” “Fulwidth No Sidebar”. By default, the review box always appears at the post content bottom, but you could put its shortcode to a custom area as you want, do you see this shortcode? https://imgur.com/TTxuLNR, just put it at the last page.

I have tried this way before contacting you, the shortcode works in the single page, but in the others i have the same problem. For Example: last page with shortcode i can put the table where i want and doesn’t appear in the bottom, but in page 1,2,3 it appear in the bottom of the page.

I see, just my opinion, the review box should appear at the bottom, the users always see it without moving to the next page 
Anyways, you can put this code to the end of kappa/functions.php or kappa-child/functions.php file, I suggest that you use the kappa child theme instead, the changes won’t be lost if you update the theme in the furture.

Recently updated the theme to 1.1.6.5 and Wordpress to 5.6 and the aside posts widget isn’t loading correctly on Posts, it doesn’t appear to be loading thumbnails. It does however work fine on the Homepage and when a post is Previewed.

Hello i am having 2 issues with the theme.
1) Check https://dbdmeta.com/ on home page (First page and second page) there is duplicate posts of the same content. One on first page and one on second page.
2) In Settings>Reading i set “Display Maximum: 5” blog posts. but it’s not showing 5 on homepage, it’s showing way more. How do I fix that?

My apologies for the delayed reply, please read the Featured Slider section in the documentation.
To set up the featured slider, go to Appearance > Widgets > Drag in the “[Kappa] Featured Posts” widget into the “Featured” widget area.
In the settings for the “[Kappa] Featured Posts” widget, you can set which posts you want to show, You have the option to show posts from a specific category, tag or even post ID’s.

The theme has been great so far and still figuring out some of the stuff but I need to know a few things from you.
1. I would like the review score and summary not to show up on my homepage but if they click on “continue reading” it must show up at the bottom just like your demo and I cant figure out how to do this at the moment.

1. You can navigate to Appearance > Theme Options > Blog and untick the “Full Entry Content” checkbox.
2. The discord icon is currently unavailable but I will add it into the next update soon.
3. Navigate to Appearance > Theme Options > Styling > Widget Heading field, you can adjust the font, color … etc.

Thanks for letting me know the issue, it is fixed, I guess that you got an update notification from the Themeforest, after updating the theme, you will need to tick on the “Full Entry Content” checkbox as above, the post excerpt will work as expected.
