Hi there,
Love the theme. However, when I view the theme on IPhone 4S the logo I placed in the desktop version doesn’t display. Any suggestions as to how to correct this?
Thanks in advance
Hi there thanks for purchasing
if you can submit a support request and provide the link we can look into this for you. I’m assuming you’ve uploaded the retina logo too?
Beautiful theme! Wondering if I can use it for my blog. I have two questions:
1. As a homepage can I have a fullwidth page with the scrolling gallery pictures at the top? And can those pictures be linked to other pages (basically I’m wondering if I can use it as some sort of Nivo slider.)
2. What are the fonts that you’ve used? I’ll check to see if they have int’l character support. I know I can use other fonts but that would ruin this beautiful design.
Thanks hikmeth
in answer to your questions. 1. You can have a full width page but not edge to edge, within the confines of 960px. There is no clickable slider although I’m sure that could be done with a child theme if you have php knowledge? That kind of thing would be a paid for customisation if you wanted us to do it. 2. Avenue Google font for body and Arial for main content.
Thnx for your replies. How can I contact you to discuss customisation options? And are you sure about the fonts?
Sorry, that’s the fonts on our new theme that we’re working on!
Moustachey are Averia Sans Libre and Georgia.
Customisations: http://www.meanthemes.com/contact for pre sales of http://www.meanthemes.com/support if you have already purchased.
Can this theme be used for a normal portfolio site, not blog? Love the simple design.
Hi there. The theme is intended as a personal blog and there are no bespoke portfolio features. If you are happy with the way Moustachey looks and functions in the demo and don’t need any other functionally on top then you can set it up as a portfolio-esc website. You can disable comments from the theme options and change the read more text via theme options and translation files which will make it feel less “bloggy”.
Hope that helps and thanks for the kind words
Squeeee-ling about this theme – it’s lovely. Will full-length blog posts be possible in future updates? I’d rather not use the read more tag…
(I saw this question asked a couple of weeks ago, and now I’m curious if the feature will be included in an update.)
Thanks!
We’ve previously advised to put the read more tag at the bottom, but we could add this in as an option.
What kind of thing were you thinking? Full blog post without the ‘READ MORE ’ at the bottom? and then you click through to actual article to see comments etc. ?
Thanks for the compliment too
Yes, full blog post without the “READ MORE ” at the bottom, with a click through to see comments/permalink. That would be slicker than slick.
Also curious – is it possible to (easily) remove the tags at the bottom of posts (like here: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s15/sh/28b0ed22-b832-48da-bede-7d9aaf90efa3/f86b96c6726b47ca1b3ee1dd4150421f)?
Thanks, guys – you rock!
So the click through would be the title of the post or a new ‘Read comments’ link?
Also, your link doesn’t work, could you repost please?
Sorry for the bad link. Here: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s15/sh/28b0ed22-b832-48da-bede-7d9aaf90efa3/f86b96c6726b47ca1b3ee1dd4150421f
Regarding READ MORE , nevermind.
I think just including the READ MORE tag at the bottom will totally work.
ok cool, the category and tags can be hidden with CSS , so its just a case of making the blog post work as a full post then? That should be easy enough, we’ll include that in the next update
Fantastic. And thank you for being so responsive! Just purchased the theme.
Lovely thank you! We’ll be releasing the full blog post option in the next day or two
Hi there, full length blog posts now available on version 1.2.1. We’re waiting for ThemeForest to approve, but you can get it via logging in to WordPress and choosing ‘Updates’ top left, it may take up to 24 hours for your WordPress install to see the new version, although its usually much quicker than that
And how do I add the navigation to the homepage? I have version 1.2
Hi Sophie, rather than filling up the comment feed here which is hard to keep track of, can you fill out the following form please?
http://www.meanthemes.com/support/Update hasn’t popped up on Wordpress yet..
Hi Sophie, it should have done, its ok though it’s been approved on ThemeForest now so if you login and re-download then you’ll have the latest version, delete the version on your website and then re-upload the newly downloaded version
Hello, which multilanguage plugin do you suggest for moustachey theme? Is there any you have already tried? Thank you!
Hi there, we haven’t tried any multi-language plugins on the moustachey theme, but we have provided a fully translatable .po file.
If you do decide to try one and it works without issue, please let us know and we’ll list it as supported.
Love this theme, guys. Fantastic work.
Thank you and thanks for purchasing
Nice work!
Is there any possibility to remove the footer mobile devices or just show the normal desktop version website mobile devices?
Thanks
Cuno
Hi there, thanks for purchasing
No there isn’t an option to turn off the responsiveness, but with a quick adjustment to the Stylesheet and header.php or using a Child Theme you could achieve that if you wanted to.
Something strange happened with my comment, but thanks for your answer. Gonna find it out
Yes, sometimes the comments strip out code if you’d added it. If you need any help, please head over to http://www.meanthemes.com/support/ and submit the form with your query and we’ll get straight back to you.
Too many options. Nice!
Is that a good thing or a bad thing though? We try to keep it simple but inevitably it does become a bit option-tastic as we add new suggested features (we only put in the good ones!)
Shame – that’s the only thing stopping me using the theme – so there is no way that I can add a sidebar to the homepage at all?
Hi Sophie, no sorry the homepage is without a sidebar. There is no way you can add it in.
However, we’ve just looked over the code and adding in an optional sidebar for the homepage is pretty simple so we will release a sidebar for homepage option on the next release, which will be within the next couple of days.
If you want to know as soon as its out, please submit a support form at http://www.meanthemes.com/support/ or keep an eye on the update history on the main Moustachey page: http://themeforest.net/item/moustachey-a-blog-theme-with-extra-gusto/3347168
Hi Sophie, you’ll be pleased to know we’ve now released version 1.1.9 of Moustachey, amongst other things it now has the option to enable the sidebar for the homepage.
You should be able to download it within the next 24 hours from logging in to your WordPress website and going to Updates (top left).
Alternatively it should be ready to download on ThemeForest within the next 72 hours (depending on how quickly the ThemeForest team are getting through the approval queue).
Hello, is there anyway I can add the navigation side bar to the homepage? I like to have a side bar that runs all the way down next to my blog posts. Can you add this? Thanks!
I currently have my old theme installed so you can have a look at what i mean http://livealittle.tv/ .. I want a side bar to be there all the time.
Thanks, Sophie
Hi there, thanks for Purchasing, we don’t have a homepage with a sidebar on this theme I’m afraid. It does sound like a good option though, we’ll be releasing an update at some point in the near future with some additional social icons for the footer and some minor fixes. I’ll put this to the team and let you know if is something we decide to do. If you can fill out the form at http://www.meanthemes.com/support with the above information, we’ll contact you back via email.
Thanks again
Hi, nice & clean design. Considering purchasing. Is it possible to reduce the number of footer widget spaces or is it fixed at 5?
Hi jfgervais. You can turn the twitter feed on and off, social icons on and off and the three other widgets as a whole block on or off. You don’t have to fill all the widgets if you don’t want to and we can provide CSS to spread out evenly so you get the desired effect.
thank you for the quick response, guys.
purchased as promised.
Fantastic, thank you very much for purchasing it is greatly appreciated
Any issues or questions, please fill out the form at http://www.meanthemes.com/support and we’ll get right back to you.
hi meanthemes,
wonderful design!
i am considering purchasing this theme, but before i do i have a few questions: 1. is it possible to turn off the icons that show in the description of each blogpost (image, video, link etc.) 2. is it possible to disable comments and turn off ‘0 comments’ showing in the blogpost overview 3. does the theme accept animated GIF as a post
thank you
Hi geshdechev,
Thank you
In answer to your questions.
1. Yes, you can do that with CSS 2. Yes, comments should close as per standard WordPress functionality. The 0 comments message can be hidden by using a combination of CSS and a small update on the provided .po file. 3. Yes, you can use an animated gif as a featured image.
Ok, thanks for the explanation
No problem thanks again for purchasing
Hi, I would like the sidebar had the same height as the content: http://i.imgur.com/wHEQ4.jpg
is it possible? thanks
Hi macrunner thanks for purchasing. Unfortunately the sidebar and content areas are independent and not linked in height. If you’d like the sidebar to be taller on all templates then we could supply some CSS for this.
If you need anything else please let us know via http://meanthemes.com/support and we’ll get straight back to you
Hi, I just purchased this theme and I’m loving so far. I have a question though.
I’m trying to use a page as my home page. I’d like to remove the title I gave the page completely, but I’m not sure exactly how.
Could you help me with this?
Thanks!

Hi there thanks for purchasing
Probably the easiest thing to do would be to go the Theme Options > Styling & Font options tab and then in the CSS block enter
.home .content h1 {display:none}
If you need anything else please fill out the form at
http://meanthemes.com/supportAnd we’ll get back to you.
Im just curious, can the Post Title be adjusted to be on top of let say a video or image for the Posts?
Hi there, by default, no. It is something you could do easily by editing the theme files or building a child theme.
The theme looks for the config file in your WordPress root, but for security reasons it’s good practice to keep it in the folder above your WordPress root.
Hello again, I’m not quite sure what you mean here, nothing is looked for in the root as the theme folder sits much deeper into the site structure than that.
If you could provide a specific example, please send it through to http://www.meanthemes.com/support/ and we’ll take a look at it for you.
Thanks again for purchasing
Thank you for the answer. I try to explane. After activating the theme, I receive the following error if I click on “Dismiss” on the note “you will need to copy across any settings…”: Warning: include_once(../../../../wp-config.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/officina/public_html/n/wp-content/themes/moustachey/framework/meanthemes-dismiss.php on line 10
Thanks, for some reasons response was flagged as inappropriate? If you can submit the error via our support form we can reply directly to you via email rather than using the comments system as its far easier to keep track of everything that way. http://www.meanthemes.com/support/
Glad to hear everything is working correctly now though.
Thanks again for purchasing it is really appreciated
