I started building my website using Demo 12 layout and I have a couple issues:
1) On the main page, when I click “Show Project” it opens a lightbox on which I have to click “View Project” to finally get to the actual project page. Is there a way to get rid of the lightbox? I tried disabling it from Theme Settings > Portfolio Settings > Lightbox. But to no avail.
2) After landing on the project page, there is a 3rd link “Open Project” Is there a way to get rid of this button?
3) On the project page, is there a way to change the text on the information categories (Strategy, Design, Client)?

1. Ensure that Ohio Extra plugin is updated to the 3.0.0+ version and is activated;2. Regenerate CSS files (for Elementor builder);
3. Check the following Shortcodes/Widgets options for backward compatibility:

Hi, I updated the Ohio Extra plugin to the latest version, cleared all caches. I’m using the WPBakery Page Builder not Elementor. Unfortunately the Google Maps still won’t show. By the way, the Advanced Custom Fields PRO plugin can’t be updated (update packet not found).

I updated to the newest version of WPBakery Page Builder today 11/26/22.
Question 1: When I edit the pages on my site using the Edit with WPBakery Page Builder, I can not clone and move any elements on the page anymore. This used to work before the update and I could easily clone and move things in different order across pages. This only works in the back end editor mode and it’s hard to visualize when you’re not in the front-end editor mode.
Question 2: By purchasing this theme it says that WPBakery Page Builder is free. Why does it say to activate it on the WordPress dashboard for updates? Where do you get the license or code to activate it?

I am using the Google Maps included in the Ohio Theme with the WPBakery Page Builder.
In Germany/Europe, according to the DSGVO, Google content can only be included in websites after consent.
So with a Google Maps, for example, so that it must first be “activated” with a click by the visitor and only then an access to the servers of Google.
I know such a feature from other themes. Is there a way to include the maps DSGVO compliant also with the Ohio Themes?

Yeah, sorry. I have checked the demo of interactive links and when a project is clicked a full screen appears on same page. (in elementor the thick for full screen mode is active) but on grid layout I can’t reproduce it will open the project page.
So do you want to open a project preview lightbox by clicking the whole portfolio card, don’t you? Like this:

First of all, Ionicons pack is not a part of Google Fonts assets, it’s a different library. Also, it’s not stored on Google’s servers, as you can see from your link:
www.*.de/wp-content/themes/ohio/assets/fonts/ionicons.min.css?ver=...
It’s located on your server in the theme’s directory.
As a solution, you can use OMGF WordPress plugin to localize all Google Fonts. After installing the plugin, OMGF will automatically start looking for Google Fonts whenever a page is requested on your website. So you have just to install and activate the plugin.

The ionicons.min.css is indeed on our server, yes. However, the Material Icons font is called from this CSS file on the Google server:

The OMGF I have installed (as well as others I have tried). However, no one manages to remove / replace this access to the Material Icons Font on Google.
Therefore, I would have to somehow solve this with the theme since the plugins can’t seem to filter this webfont in the Ohio theme.
