Kindly tell me how to create such fields and how to ENABLE this field please help me in this regard https://snipboard.io/xvZJDU.jpg
This is a gender field. I see now you have 2 gender fields. This is wrong. You have to delete the first gender field on your screenshot (not with the green buttons!). After that, do the following:
1) Go here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Custom fields -> scroll down to Reserved fields.
2) open a field without title for editing. Hover a mouser and see if a link has a slug “gender”.
3) on the form, fill in all fields. Enter “gender” in the field “Slug”.
Save. That’s it.
Thank you so much for your support, it really worked
Hello! Need help. After updates the translation is partially broken. I would like to get information about what and where to correct when this problem occurs.
Hi. You can edit the files in this folder: /wp-content/plugins/datebook/languages
You can use Poedit software or Loco Translate plugin to edit the language files (translation files).
Hi khurram_shahbaz. This is a profile type field. It is still under development. Sorry. Please, do not use it. This option will allow to create different profiles. For example: profiles for teachers, for students, singles, couples, escort, pets, and so on.
But you can play with it anyway. You should add profile types here: WordPress -> Profiles -> Types.
I have one more problem, when my user wants to select a subscription plan, there is not any button to select, kindly see the screenshot https://snipboard.io/I7aAnb.jpg
And please help me to create subscription plans with WooCommerce because I want to use STRIPE as payment gateway
Hi Pagick,
1. we have a custom field that is set to “visible to administrator and owner of profile only”, however it appears always for everyone.
2. The section of countries have issues. Nothing there can changed nor added as new. I got a message: “Oops! Something went wrong. Data has NOT been saved.”
Ps.: after updating to the latest version, the option to set custom field searchable or not disappeared.
Can you help to solve these, please?
Hi venuszrandi.
1) Yes, it stopped working. It will be fixed soon.
2) I checked countries and cities. It works. No issue. Try to do the following: check here if the list of countries exists: WordPress -> DateBook -> Countries and cities. If no, then go here and click the button “Start”: WordPress -> DateBook -> Countries Installer.
Yes, right, the custom field searchable has been removed since it is not used anywhere.
Hello Pagick,
thanks for your answers!
1) Until that, can we hide it somehow? It’s an agreement field that user has to accept or decline (that they don’t put personal contact in their description) but it appears for everyone who view the profile and it seems really unprofessional from our part. :/
2) It worked before the update of 22/07/2023. We have had the countries and cities installed already and the modification or adding there worked before. However I generated the list again in Countries Installer. The problem still exist. Do you have any other advise what to do?
(I should have to add more cities because it’s not a complete list, only few are in it and cite names are without accent -> Where they come from? I mean from where are they imported?)
3) No, please, do not remove it. There are several fields over which we want to have control whether they are searchable or not.
Please, can you help in the points above? It’ not ok, that cities cannot edited nor added… :/ We cannot do anything with them, however there are a lot of missing cities from Hungary. :/
Also not great that a field appears, however it’s disabled for public view.
Searchable option is also a huge need to re-allow it.
Or it’s possible to downgrade the version without loosing any data and without to have rebuild again the forms?
Thank you so much in advance!
Hi venuszrandi. I will correct the issues 1 and 3 soon. But regarding cities. You cannot add cities. I tried to add city on my side. It is ok, successfully added and removed.
Could you take a screenshot of this page?: WordPress -> DateBook -> Countries and cities.
What happens what you go to this page and try to add a city? WordPress -> DateBook -> Countries and cities -> click the button “Add city”.
Could you take a screenshot of any error?
Thank you. I apologize for not responding in time.
Hi Pagick,
no worries at all. Although it’s important to solve it, I’m really pleased for your attention!
These are the sceenshots: - page: WordPress -> DateBook -> Countries and cities: https://pasteboard.co/nlpf8J0E7ZbI.png - page: WordPress -> DateBook -> Countries and cities -> after click the button “Add city” and saving a new city: https://pasteboard.co/Ez1AguKQ33yJ.pngI sent you a mail about this issue a few days ago with a possible cause of it. Kindly check that too. Maybe it could be a way to find where the problem is in my part.
Thank you very much!!
Hi venuszrandi. Ah I see. The problem is that you have not upgraded countries. One of the theme updates offered to upgrade the countries and cities MySQL table. But you didn’t.
Ok. Do the following:
Go here and install countries again.: WordPress -> DateBook -> Countries Installer -> click on the button “Start”. New upgraded list of countries will be installed. After that, you can add new cities.
I hope this instruction must help. But if it doesn’t, then we will try other solutions.
Yes, I remember that one of them forced me to update it. I don’t exactly which one. Maybe it was a corrupted update without succes.
I have already done re-install the cities with the “Start” button. So what you see on the screensshots, are after that.
Can you offer another solution, please?
Maybe a database table that I can replace to the good one?!
Pagick, do you have another solution for this issue?
Does it worth if I reinstall the site on a staging site with that update where that SQL update was offered and after that I copy that table to the live site?
Otherhands, while selecting a country, where come the data from?
I mean, only a few percentage of cities are imported. It’s far away from the reality, so wanted to try to add every existing city in my country, but don’t know how to do.
Of course, manually it’s not an option.
Update: I have reinstalled Datebook on a staging site and updated the SQL tables. After replacing to that datebook_countries table, know it works fine. I can save and add again cities.
But would be great to have all Hungarian cities because many of them are missing. From where do you import it? How can I add all of them without manually actions?
Hi Pagick, i read somwhere, that demo1 page 1 is hardcodet. Please see that attachment: https://snipboard.io/dvHmet.jpg On Datebook- “Header” i could paste the line and a Text. Is there a chance to do it (line and text same on screenshot) betweeen the roundet pictures and the Top-Profiles?
Hi firstounsap. You can place your text manually in this file on line 497: /wp-content/plugins/datebook/includes/class-datebook-page-front.php
Hello Pagick, yes, it worked, but I didn’t want it at this point (line 497) but further down, see arrow in screenshot. https://snipboard.io/y2oSxU.jpg Since I’m not sure where I can enter it, I’d better ask again. thank you in advance
>>> Solved <<< Just to or 3 lines down
Great! I am glad to hear that
Hi Pagick, where can i change that text: https://snipboard.io/XdL4Zb.jpg Thanks in advance.
Hi firstounsap. This word is located in this file: /wp-content/plugins/datebook/languages/datebook-de_DE.po
You can edit with a Poedit software or Loco Translate plugin.
Good evening, Can you tell me where the value of the input with ID ‘datebook-agerange’ is configured? I’m not seeing it under custom fields or forms. I want to update the default 18 – 80 range, Thanks!
Good evening. This age options are located here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Login and Register -> Registration age: minimum and Registration age: maximum
Good morning, How can I edit the content of the homepage search form. I see the forms section allows me to drag and drop various fields to this form but how can I adjust the verbiage? Specifically, I’m looking to replace ‘whom’ with ‘a’, Thanks!
Good morning. Please, do the following:
1) Go here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Custom fields.
2) Click on the field “Gender”. See screenshot https://ibb.co/8sf5PVW
3) Fill in all “Title” fields in all languages. See screenshot https://ibb.co/xSmfkv8
Thanks for the reply! I don’t have a field named Gender or with the ‘gender’ slug. I have I am looking for and wish to meet. I’m going to upgrade to the new version that was just released and see if that makes any difference.
I just discovered that I can hide this by modifying this class (.form-label, .datebook-label-title) in the stylesheet to include a display: none but worried that could create some other adverse results.
Hi Pagick and many thanks for your answers. I could not change it here ( https://snipboard.io/Zh7us2.jpg ): WordPress -> DateBook -> Custom fields -> open the field “Date of Birth” But i saw it in Datebook -> Forms https://snipboard.io/bQjUmn.jpg , but how can i edit it?
Hi. You could not find the custom field “Date of Birth”? Ok, it is easy.
1) Go here WordPress -> DateBook -> Custom fields.
2) Click on the Date of Birth. See screenshot https://ibb.co/8sf5PVW
3) Fill in all “Title” fields in all languages. See screenshot https://ibb.co/xSmfkv8
Thanks Pagick, i found all Texts except the two small words in Number 4. https://snipboard.io/DO3MAd.jpg
Hi, what are the changes in the new update? Have the bugs been fixed ?
- Fixed: TinyMCE editor in the settings did not save the text. - Fixed: Top and Featured statuses displayed even if disabled in the settings. - Improved: custom fields functionality in admin area improved. - Fixed: count countries function in admin area displayed error. - Fixed: word filter worked incorrectly. - Fixed: few bugs in forms fixed. - Fixed: bugs in the shortcode function "list of profiles". - Fixed: timezone of user was displayed incorrectly. - Improved: style of theme settings page improved. - Fixed: CSS style corrections on frontend and backend. - Removed: cookies were removed as it has no sense.
Has the problem that was solved ? The top status did not stop if the status was allocated for a week, for example, it stood for a year and did not stop
Not yet. Sorry. I will find solution soon. Actually, this is WordPress cron. Cron must work itself. But if it does not work on your site, then ok I will try to find some solution soon.
Try to fix this error as soon as possible, I read earlier reviews and other users had the same problems
Hi again, i just uploaded you last version and made a new install…after theme datas installation and countries it asked to save theme option, i did it: save. after that i was redirected to homepage, but now impossible to back to dashboard admin, it always redirect to homepage
i even didnt have time to install demo content. i use a multisite wordpress, it is compatible? i never have luck with this theme
Hi. The theme settings did not change its functionality. Only CSS style has been improved.
Do the following:
1) Go to the theme settings: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard
2) Update the page or the browser cache with Ctrl+ F5.
3) Try to save the settings by clicking on the Save button.
If you can not login, then
1. enter on FTP connection.
2. rename the DateBook plugin folder to any name: wp-content/plugins/datebook
3. login again your admin area
4. rename the plugin folder back to its name, on FTP connection.
5. go to the plugins and activate the DateBook plugin: WordPress -> Plugins
6. go to the theme settings and save them, here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard.
That’s it.
i did it. but each time i active the plugin, it redirect me to homepage website, and impossible to back to admin panel…i dont udnerstand…it could be because i use a MU wordpress? your theme works for a Multisite WP?
and it witch file can i find the name and password for database? i dont see any wp-config.php
No, multi site must not affect the login function.
I hope when you go the theme settings page (WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard), you updated the cache with CTRL + F5. After that, you can save the theme settings.
But before saving the theme settings, you should again check all options on all tabs: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard
Especially, select all pages here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Pages.
I have no idea where the wp-config file. It is out of my power
maybe you know where is the DB name used in witch file? because i have a lot and dont remember witch it used for thsi theme. in witch file, you know? i will try to restore a backup
One more. You may be logged out, if you are not a Super administrator.
DB name can be found only in the wp-config file.
its ok, i will check tomorrow. thanks
Hi again. i am thinking, last time you wrote: Only CSS style has been improved.”” So you fixed the problem that text was not saving just with CSS? you are very strong
Hi, I am very interested in purchasing your theme, but before doing so, I have a few questions. 1. Is there the ability to customise user details, such as add height, eye colour, location etc.? 2. Can you search for profiles based on location, gender etc. or is there a filter? 3. Is there an option for recurring payments, for example, I would like to set 3 months, 6 months and 1 year – each recurring. Is that possible? That’s all… if you can let me know, that would be great, and then I can proceed to purchase the theme! Thanks.
Hi.
1) Yes, you can edit the custom fields like: height, age, gender, etc. You can also add your own fields (select, text, textarea, checkboxes, radioboxes).
2) Yes, you can search on location, gender and other fields.
3) Recurring payment is not possible right in the theme. But it is possible if you install WooCommerce and connect it to the theme. In this case, you will be able to accept recurring payments. But we have not tested WooCommerce recurring payments yet. As it is complicated long-term process, it depends on payment gateways. For example: PayPal supports recurring payments, but they made it so uncomfortable for users.
Kind regards
Thank you for getting back to me appreciate it. Ok, regarding point 3, what are the paynment options available? Thanks.
2 gateways: PayPal Standard and Paystack payment gateways are included/integrated in the theme.
Ok great, thanks for letting me know!
Hi Pagick, 2 questions please.
1.) what about the countries that are visible on the front page? If new profiles are created or a demo profile is edited and you enter a different country, for example, the result does not appear in real time on the frontpage. I noticed it takes a while for the new profile to be added or for the new country to appear. Where/how can this be accelerated?
2.) The same feeling creeps up on me with the profiles on the front page. It has been active, which means I saw all the profiles on the front page yesterday. Today they are gone, maybe I tried to save different settings to test.
Good day firstounsap. I apologize for delay. Answering your questions.
1) Yes, countries are not updated in real-time. Because this option has been enabled: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Performance -> Cache countries on front page.
You can disable it. Enter 0.
2) Perhaps, quantity of profiles was set to 30. But active profiles are 29. One profile was deleted. So in this case, mosaic of profiles will not be displayed if number of profiles is fewer than it was selected in the theme options. Here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Profiles -> Normal profiles: quantity to show
Thanks for the solutions, working fine now
Hello Pagick, I’ve bought the Datebook theme and I could’ve sworn that when i initially installed the file, I had content for the Forms, specifically the Search form on Front Page. I had to delete and reinstall the datebook theme and then my wordpress install to start from scratch, and ever since then I’ve had issues with the shortcode for [datebook_shortcode name=”search_form_front”]. Actually it seem slike it’s an issue with all of the forms. The available fields to construct a form seem to be missing?? I’m not exactly sure, yet I have no search on the initial landing page.
Good day richintellect999. Ok, I see. You can check the following steps:
1) Do not use the shortcodes of the forms like this: [datebook_shortcode name=”search_form_front”]. They are not working yet. They were added as experimental and still under development. These shortcodes: WordPress -> DateBook -> Forms -> [datebook_shortcode …].
2) Check here if the search form exists: WordPress -> DateBook -> Forms -> Search form on Front page. Also, check if the fields were added in the form.
3) Enable this option: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Show the search form on Homepage
4) Deselect this option: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard ->Replace Homepage for logged in users.
Ok, thank you for your response, my issue was that I hadn’t properly installed theme options
Hi. These words can be found in this file on line 2720: /wp-content/plugins/datebook/includes/payment/class-datebook-subscription.php
and here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Custom fields -> open the field “Date of Birth”
Thanks in advance.
I forgot to mention that the one package that is visible is not selectable.
Hi Pagick, i found my mistake. Problem is solved. After i changed the price for subscription for example, from 12,00 to 12 it works, the other pakages showed up and are selectable.
Good day firstounsap. Great. Thank for this information. If you enter 12,00 the subscription page does not load fully. Ok, I will check and fix it. Thank you again.
How can I have exactly the home page that is on the datebook theme?? IF not, the theme I paid for is a little complicated for the settings. Is there a way to display each user’s information on the home page?
I have updated your website with the latest version 4.7.2. Also, I have corrected the design. Please, check it out.
Hi Pagick,
just noticed that time isn’t correct in Datebook. (After “Now” on subscriptions page, Subscription expiration date etc.) It’s correctly set in WP->General settings-> Time zones and also forced in php.ini, but it shows and counts with UTC instead of server time. (checked the server time in a separate php file echoing it and it’s ok)
Where can I set it to work properly?
Thank you in advance!
Hi venuszrandi. Yes, I know. I need some time to check and fix it. This time must display visitor’s time, not profile or server time. Thank you.
Hi,
ok. Thank you Pagick! Waiting for it.
Hi Pagick! Please help me to resolve these two problems 01. How to show search forms and match making system on the website because I did all my best according to you told me in another comment but it doesn’t work. 02. How to change colour scheme of theme and header and button colurs. Please support me in these two problems, I will be very thankful to you. my website url is https://travelbuddy.org.uk
Kindly help me to show search form as it shown on demo site
Hi. Could you send me an access to your admin area? I would like to check the theme settings. So that I could correct everything to display the search form.
Could you take a screenshot of what colors you want to change? Thank you. Email info@pagickthemes.com
Yeah Sure
I have sent you an email with full details, Kindly fix it as soon as possible
Yes, I received your email message. I will correct everything very soon. Thank you.
I corrected your website. Please, check it out.
And how to show search form on home page and other pages, I followed your all tutorials. Can you support me to show these search forms?
You should enable this option to activate the search form: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Searching -> Show the search form on Homepage.
Also, check here if the search form was imported or created: WordPress -> DateBook -> Forms -> Search form on Home page.
If the search form was not created yet, then you can import here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Theme Installer -> click on the button “3. Install” in Step Third.
I have followed all these steps, but still search form is not showing
Now the search is displaying on your website. The reason why the search was not showing was: you set a profile page to be displayed on the front page instead of the normal front page, here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Pages -> Replace Homepage for logged in users.
