Good day. Ok. Something went wrong. But it could be anything. It is difficult to say what could go wrong.

Hello, Currently, the Advanced Search appears as a popup/modal. I want to change it so that the Advanced Search form is displayed inline on the page (as part of the main content) Thanks…
Hi. Yes, this is possible. Change this option: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Forms -> open the Search form for editing -> click on the orange button -> select “Collapse” in the “Display advanced fields as” field.
Stores, events, groups, activity feed
How long to have those functionalities integrated too, please ?
These are core features nowadays that will surely attract, retain and improve user interactions.
Hello
How long until to the next item discount, please ??
We (our team) have not discussed about the discount yet. I cannot say when.
Hi Pagick,
Is there an estimate when it will be implemented, that we can change the order in the subscription list? Not so pressing at the moment but I did plan to extend the list and for that I need to be able to resort the list.
Hi LeonGeb. Good idea to sort the plans. I will try to do it withing the week. Thank you
Hi Pagick, I was wondering if there is a feature currently in the theme that helps with advertisement – to be more specifically with affiliation programs.
Or is this something I can do with woocommerce (if activated)?
Do you have any sugggestions?
Thanks Leon
Hi LeonGeb. Good idea. We are going to add page builder in the theme. So, we thought it is no time to add advertisement fields. But any way, I need to think how to realize your idea. I hope, I can add it in August. Thank you for ideas
Hi Pagick,
Is there a feature that sends users a reminder who have registred but not purchased a subscription?
Hi LeonGeb. No, not yet. Again, good idea. Thank you.
Thanks for the update, initial testing is showing positive
Ok. Great. What kind of testing? Are you talking about registration? Is it working correctly?
Managed to register a few accounts through the registration link, select subscription and it shows as active, just waiting for the repeat payment to go through but looking very positive with using the latest version
I’m using the official DateBook theme, version 4.9.2 (licensed). Email notifications about new user messages are not being sent. All other emails (registration, email confirmation, contact forms) are working fine — SMTP is configured and functioning properly.
Could you please clarify:
Should email notifications for new private messages work in version 4.9.2? Is there a hook or method to manually trigger the email sending for messages? Or is this a bug that can be fixed now? Thank you for your support. This feature is important for us, as private messaging is a key part of user interaction on the site.
hmmmm…there is a problem with subscriptions…I have set 3 users per week for free for an unlimited period, but I have a user who writes to much more than 3, and in one day…I tested with my account, there is a limit…I’m confused, apparently the user can bypass the restriction
Hi, I’ve just discovered another critical issue that completely ruins the purpose of the site and any potential for monetization.
All email addresses entered by users are automatically displayed in profile reposts (for example, when someone shares a profile via messenger or social networks).
This happens because the email is saved into the excerpt (short description) field, which is then used in previews. As a result, anyone can simply share a profile, see the email, and contact the person directly — without ever paying anything on the platform.
This effectively makes the entire platform useless as a paid service.
Could you please fix this behavior? Specifically:
Make sure email addresses are not stored or displayed in excerpts; Prevent them from showing up in reposts, previews, or any auto-generated profile summaries. This is very important for the sustainability of the site. Thanks in advance.
Hi, I’d like to bring an important issue to your attention.
In the latest version of the theme/template, a new header appeared: “Знакомства для зрелых” (which means “Dating for mature people”) — and it is placed inside an
tag.
This is completely inappropriate for several reasons:
My site allows users from the age of 14, so such phrasing is misleading and could result in complaints or legal concerns. Having “for mature people” in an h1 tag is also harmful for SEO, as it’s a main heading and does not reflect the actual purpose of the site. Questions:
How can I remove or change this text from the admin panel? Is there an option to disable this message in the theme settings? If not, could you tell me in which file this element is located so I can manually remove it? Please provide a solution or a way to correct this as soon as possible.
Thank you.
Hi, when will be available photos moderation before it goes public? Waiting for it every day..
Good day again,
I’d like to give you an update regarding the PHP versions and how the theme behaves.
When I upload the theme through the WordPress admin panel, it shows a message saying that PHP 8.0 or higher is required. I’ve tested it with PHP 8.1 — the site loads, but changes in the DateBook settings are not saved. When I try to save, the blue progress bar stops at around 90% and doesn’t move further, and the changes are not applied.
Then I switch back to PHP 7.4, and in this case, saving DateBook settings works properly.
So I have a few questions:
Which PHP version do you recommend for full compatibility with the theme and DateBook? What are the recommended server settings (e.g. memory_limit, max_execution_time, post_max_size, etc.) for optimal performance? When I downloaded the theme, the folder name was different from the one I had installed previously, so the site didn’t recognize it as an update. I renamed the new theme folder to match the old one. Is this safe to do? Could it cause any problems? Thank you in advance for your recommendations.
Best regards, Hennadii
Hello,
Every time I update the theme, new issues appear, and I end up restoring the site from a backup. Because of this, I’ve been very cautious with updates. However, I decided to update again this year.
After the update, I noticed a new issue:
When I’m on the homepage and click “Edit” in the top admin bar (as an admin, not as a user), it redirects me to my profile page instead of allowing me to edit the homepage content.
Because of this, I can’t edit the homepage (texts and SEO) in the usual way.
Website: https://friends128.com
Could you please help me resolve this?
Thank you in advance. Best regards, Hennadii
Good day dear Hennadii. As I understand you use a page builder for the front page. Ok I will check what you described today. I will be back later.
Thank you for your reply. I also want to say that I really like your theme — I’ve been using it for many years, and currently my website has over 20,000 users. Great work!
Yes, I’m using WPBakery Page Builder for the homepage.
However, the problem occurs not only when trying to edit the homepage, but also on the “Profiles” page.
When I click “Edit” in the top admin bar (as an administrator, not a regular user), I’m redirected to the profile editing page instead of the page editor.
This happens even on pages where no third-party builder like WPBakery is used.
I created a test page without the search form and without displaying user profiles — and that page can be edited normally.
It seems there is a conflict between the standard WordPress page editing function and the profile editing functionality that’s implemented in the theme.
If needed, I can provide more details or access to the site.
Best regards, Hennadii
I wanted to approve a Description. But thats not working. I see there is one Descripton to approve, but i can not see it, so i can not approve
Try to clean the cache in the browser. Also, update the page in the browser with Ctrl+F5.
Of course i did that. Serveral times
the random uploading of posts being created is a continued problem with this product…..... this is the latest that is happening? 0×1c8c5b6a Today, 10:47 pm 0×1c8c5b6a Today, 10:27 pm 0×1c8c5b6a Today, 10:07 pm 0×1c8c5b6a
I already explained that the theme can’t create posts. The theme does not have the function to create posts. Especially such strange spam titles.
The theme can create only profile, classified, tour. That’s it.
As I see, this might be some plugin that generates posts.
Also, it is up to you to protect your site by help of firewall. Try to install some firewall: Wordfence Security, All In One WP Security & Firewall and others.
I don’t have access to your website, especially the admin area. Therefore, I cannot say what is happening on your site and I don’t know how to help.
If you provide me the access to your admin area, then I could try to find out what generates spam posts.
Hi, I’m migrating my site from the old structure:
Parent theme: datebook
Child theme: datebook-child
…to the new structure:
Parent theme: datebook-theme
Child theme: datebook-theme-child
I have many custom settings configured in both the Customizer and your Theme Dashboard (the panel under the WordPress menu). I’d like to migrate everything without redoing all settings manually.
Can you please tell me:
Which wp_options keys or database entries your theme uses to store settings for the Theme Dashboard and the child theme?
Are these options saved depending on the theme name (e.g. datebook-child) or are they loaded independently?
Is there any official method to export/import all theme settings (Customizer + Dashboard)?
I understood that I’m now forced to follow this change in order to align with your new structure – hopefully this was the last drastic modification.
If needed, I can also send you an email with more technical details.
Thanks.
Hi. All options in database begins with “datebook”. Example: “datebook_gateways”.
The theme settings are “datebook_theme” for parent theme and “datebook_theme_child” for child theme.
Yes, these names depend on the theme name. If you manually rename the theme name, then you will have to re-save the settings. Because, names affect to the theme settings. For example, parent theme has its own settings, child theme has a different name, then the child theme must have its own settings. In this case, there will not be confusion between themes. For example, it is not good to have the same settings for both parent and child theme. That’s why, different names = different settings.
There is no method to export/import. But we already started thinking about it. So, this possibility will be added in the next updates.
Yes, correct. Since WordPress 6.8 forces us to follow its rules, then we have to follow all these changes too. Yes, such change has never happened before. I hope this will never happen in the future.
As well as you, we are not glad to waste time and do such changes in the theme. But we had to.
Yes, sure. We will be glad to assist you in any matter, any time. Email info@pagickthemes.com
Kind regards
Hi again,
First of all, thank you for your detailed reply — it was very helpful. I’m now preparing a clean migration from the old datebook-child to your new datebook-theme-child structure.
Since theme settings are saved in wp_options, and you mentioned that they are stored in a key like datebook_theme_child, I would like to confirm a few things to make this transition smooth and fast — and hopefully helpful for other users too.
1. What is the exact option name used in the old child theme? For example, does it use datebook_theme_child or a different key like datebook_theme_child_489, datebook_options_child, or similar?
2. Is the structure of that option_value the same between old and new themes? If yes, I can safely run a SQL query to copy the values.
3. Do you use any other keys in wp_options, wp_postmeta, or wp_termmeta related to theme settings or widgets that are affected by the theme name?
4. About translations (very important):
5. Which folder should contain the native .mo and .po files for translations? wp-content/languages/themes/ or inside the theme (/languages/)?
6. What is the recommended filename format for additional manual translations? (e.g. for Italian: datebook-theme-it_IT.mo?)
7. If I use a custom translation file for Italian (with Loco Translate), where should I place it so it is not overwritten and works correctly?
8. If I succeed in the migration, will you keep these settings also in future updates for the theme and plugins (but above all to make the child theme work)?
I’m writing here so it can be of help to others who are facing the same problem, but if you ask me to send you an email I will.
Thanks again for the support (I sent an email also).
Regards
Hi Pagick, I know these are several questions but unfortunately I can’t help it to move forward. If you can answer me within ten days I would really appreciate it.
Ps: The email address from which I sent you the email is different from the email address from which I purchased the license.
Thanks
Hi. Yes, sure. I will answer. I need some time to prepare answers.
Thank you!
Are you there, Pagick?
You can reply to the email sent 10 days ago! Thanks for your time.
Hello, Have you looked into the fluentforms compatibility issue?
Hi. Not yet. I had to fix the urgent issues on our sides. Today, I will have a look at this form.
Hi, Unfortunately the issue with subscriptions isn’t fixed as we initially thought. Please see the email I’ve sent
Thanks
Hi. Ok, I will see and be back soon. Thank you.
Hi, I’ve been doing some testing and have emailed you the results
