Flat News is already compatible with Adsense. Just enable Adsense (access Earnings / Adsense and choose configuration for it (example: display after each post).

You can click in label name on homepage, you will see the label page has only photo,text,line…
If you want a blog version on homepage, this template is not supported, it allows displaying blog version on label pages only.
I think you can add a link to menu with name “Blog” and target it to a label page with similar name.

Advertisement 728×90 can adapt well if it’s an image, but can not if it’s flash.
Because I don’t know what ads type that users will add into the template so I just disable this ads for nice display in all case.

1) Yes, the slider is auto updates from latest posts of category. The image is auto resize.
2) You can insert Disqus code by yourself. Maybe I will release subversion for Disqus, but only maybe, because I really don’t like Disqus .
