Hi,
Is there a way to set a custom favicon? Thanks!
also, how do I set up the blog to show? There’s no template for the blog. Thanks.
Hi @MMGphotocinema,
Thanks for buying the theme and for your comment. You can actually have your own custom favicon but you will need to do this in the code base directly using the require link ref tag.
For the blog to show if you have uploaded the demo content you should already have it available. What you will need to do is drag and drop it within the menu setting. It is found under a category. Then assign every post you need under this category. All your blog posts will show up to the latest 3 on the front page.
Hope the clears things up, thanks again.
Leo
Got the blog to work. Thank you!
Awesome and your welcome. Would love it if you could rate the theme if you haven’t already. Here is the link http://themeforest.net/downloads
Thanks mate.
is there a document on how to populate content? I bought the template, looking at the source content, I’ve found how to do a few things, but I have no idea how to add the photos into a gallery and give them titles.
Thanks @iamlegion for purchasing the theme.
Have you uploaded the demo content? It’s an .xml file found within your main download.
Once you upload this it auto populates the theme with content which you can then edit as you need to.
Let me know how you go.
Thanks again,
Leo

Awesome theme! Can anyone tell me how to get the layout shown in the demo, so I can then customize from there?
Thanks!
Thanks @flashgagnon, appreciate the comment and purchase.
So what do you not see on your end that you do see in the live preview.
Let me know and I can help you out.
Thanks,
Leo
Thanks, Leo.
Let’s start at the beginning. I appreciate your taking the time to help me. JUST ANOTHER REASON TO BUY THIS THEME, PEOPLE.
I have uploaded both the 1.4 parent and the child .zip to my WP installation, and I tried the parent by itself first. What I get is the theme with absolutely no customization (I have a screenshot but no way to attach it). All I see are just whatever defaults are set up. I have some minor experience with WP, and usually there is some instruction in the .zip in a text file or something on what to specifically upload to get the demo and customize from there.
Any help is SUPER appreciated, I have a wedding in six months and Save the Dates going out next week and I have to have this thing up and running.
Thanks so much!
Thanks mate appreciate the compliment
It sounds like an issue with the installation.
Within your main download there is a folder labelled documentation. Here you will find an extensive guide with a video tutorial as well. Have you not found this? There is also demo content which can be uploaded.
Also, if you want to attach a screenshot you can email it to me directly. My address is found within the same documentation file.
Lastly, send me through the link of what you have as well.
Let me know, thanks.
Leo
Leo,
I can’t believe I missed the documentation HTML file. Everything and more was in there. Thanks!
One issue that I’m having, and I know I did something silly and it will be an easy fix:
I’ve lost the sidebar! See what I mean at www.teamcgmg.us
Let me know what I’ve done wrong, please. Thanks so much!
Chris
Leo,
I moved my Zoom in Chrome to 100% from 110%.
Problem Solved.
Thanks!
Awesome Chris. Thanks for letting me know.
If you don’t mind I would really appreciate it if you could rate the think. Here is the link http://themeforest.net/downloads
Thanks buddy.
Leo
Hello, I just purchased this theme a few days ago and it looks great, good job on it!
I did have a question though. How would I edit the width at which the navigation menu changes/toggles to adapt to a smaller screen? I have a Mac 13” screen that toggles right away when the page is loaded.
I am also having the same issue as above where the menu once in the toggle mode, does not respond to clicks and therefore, does not show a drop down. I tested the menu by simply resizing it on Chrome for Windows and IE11 to a smaller window size.
Thank you for your time.
Hi @prahlm93,
Thanks for the purchase and your comment.
To adjust the break points on when to trigger the different views, you will need to make the change in the media-queries.css file. Target the breakpoint you need by increasing the value as required.
Re your second issue, this is known and I have it on my to do list for a god once I am back from overseas.
Thanks again and if you have any other questions let me know. All the best.
Leo
Thanks for the reply. Do you have an estimated date as to when the second issue will be fixed?
I hope you’re enjoying your trip.
Hi @prahlm93,
I get back end of July so I envisage the fix being in place by first/second week of August.
If I can get to it sooner you will be notified via email.
Thanks again,
Leo
So to get back to you on the 13” Mac… the screen resolution is 1280 by 800. If it is fully maximized, it works normally but when it is slightly windowed, it goes straight to a mobile menu. Which code would I edit to make it not go to mobile right away? I did find the CSS file you mentioned but I just can’t get it to work.
I also noticed that on Windows, the mobile menu appears and doesn’t work at 1252px and starts working again at 903px. This is on a 1920×1080 monitor. Does this help you at all in diagnosing the mobile menu?
Hi @prahlm93,
Please see below my answers to your points above.
1. The media queries trigger as required. It really is a personal preference as to when you would like the template to respond differently, that is why I was leaving it open for you to alter the break point that you need. To elaborate on this you would need to remove the selectors that are being triggered under the below media query.
@media only screen and (min-width: 48em)
That is when the template first makes the initial change. Try increasing or decreasing the em value until you get the view you desire.
2. The mobile menu bug I am aware of the fix. It is just that I do not have access to upload the update to the review team until I get back from overseas. Thanks none the less for the information.
I hope this helps, if you need more information let me know.
Thanks,
Leo
I actually got around to playing with the values and I am wondering if you could help me out with this… I want it so that the 13” Macbook has the real menu when the window is maximized. The issue is that even if you maximize it, it’s like a few pixels off from working due to sidebars of the browser and what not. I managed to tweak the value so that the mobile navigation bar doesn’t appear but the rest of the content gets screwed up.
Could you help me with the CSS to do this? I think it’s worth considering to have the 13” Macbook supported for the full UI by default, since it is a very popular computer.
Thank you for your time.
Hi @prahlm93,
Thanks for your feedback. Note that these devices are supported as the theme is functional. What features are accessible is a matter of preference. That is the beauty of responsive design.
In terms of your CSS, send through what you have though note customizations that are made to the theme can incur a cost if they are extensive. Send me what you have first and I can let you know.
Note I will not be able to run a test on your theme until start-mid August as that is when I am back from overseas.
Thanks,
Leo
Hi Leo, Pre-purchase question… This is a great theme for weddings – before I purchase just one question for you. My fiance and I were looking for the countdown plugin and a timeline plugin for the “Our Story” page. Is that something that is already in this theme or do you have any recommendations on where to find either one? We really want to purchase your theme and move forward with creating our site, just want to be sure it has what we are looking for.
Thanks for your help! Joanna+Jamie
Hi Joanna and Jamie,
Thanks for your question. The theme does not currently come with a countdown or timeline plugin. That being said, one thing I can think of is if you were to find a third party plugin that does do this, say through a short code, then you could easily add this on the page.
So perhaps the best thing to do is to firstly find a plugin that would do the above then it’s simply a matter of installing it on the theme.
Hope that clears things up.
Thanks again,
Leo
Hi Leo,
Great theme! Two questions, hope you can help me out.
1. Is there a way to change the initials on the top left to a logo? 2. The “easy backstretch” doesn’t work anymore on the website, can you see how this comes and how I can fix this. [see: http://bit.ly/1jhB2mQ]
Thanks
Regards,
Bastiaan
Hi Leo, I also can’t implement the Blog page, it doesn’t work. I want the page “Nieuws” to display all the blogposts. See; http://bit.ly/1jhB2mQ
Hi @doemeer,
Thanks for the purchase.
1. The logo area currently only supports text initials, these can be changed through the Theme Customizer.
2. Do you have more than 1 image uploaded through the plugin? Have you updated the div to target the aside element?
3. Have you created both your page and category as “Nieuws”? If not, then that is the first step. Once you have this, each new post you create should be associated to this category. By doing this you will see that the blog posts will start to show.
Thanks,
Leo
Hi Leo,
1. there isn’t any workaround or easy method to change the initials to a simple png?
2. I uploaded two images, and set the div to aside, but it isn’t working.
3. I created a page “Nieuws” and set blogpost category to “Nieuws” but they don’t show up. I think it has something to do with setting by reading. Where you can choose “startpage shows” [where you can choose between last post and static page] What should this settings be?
Regards,
Bastiaan
Hi Bastiaan,
1. What you could do if you wanted a .png is define it through the stylesheet directly (style.css). You will then need to set the necessary properties to kick the text off the screen and use a background image instead.
2. Do you have any JS errors?
3. Toggle between the settings and see if one works. You actually don’t need to define this. You should just have “Your latest posts” selected.
Thanks,
Leo
Hi Leo,
Thanks for the quick reply.
1. will search it out or let someone program it.
2. I don’t see any errors
3. If i (for exemple) select “over ons” as frontpage and “nieuws” as page for the blogposts I do get to see the easy backstretch image, but navigation isn’t working and the blogposts aren’t visable. Perhaps you can have a look at the backend?
4. I now have a duplicate “over ons” (about us) page on the buttom of the website, can’t find where to delete this.
Thanks very much Leo.
Regards,
Bastiaan
Hi Bastiaan,
Ok, perhaps send me login details to your WP admin and I can take a closer look.
Thanks,
Leo
Hi Bastiaan,
Take a look now, everything should be fixed. Here is the run down.
1. Ok, no problem.
2. Easy backstretch is now working. Looks like the error was coming from the apostraphe on Foto’s. I’ve updated this to read as “Fotos”.
3/4. The duplicate issue has been resolved. I suspect this was happening in the way your reading settings were setup, This has now been setup to have “Your latest posts” as the default. You will not need to change this. Your blog posts should now also show.
Thanks,
Leo
Thanks Leo, all works great, 5stars for you!
Awesome Bastiaan. Thanks so much for the rating too!
As to the 10 image cap i think is related to the SETTINGS>>READING 10 per feed/page it treats the slides etc as posts. I found this out by switching it from 10 to 3 and my bridesmades section only displayed 3. Pop back to 10 – so do the rest of the images. -Dain Sandoval
You may be right Dain. I have a fix in the pipeline for this. Thanks for sharing though.
Leo
Hi Leo
I seem to be having the same problem as Jimmy.
My navigation is not working either on desktop. It continuously links all nav items to the home page. Please see here: www.celebratewithus.co.za.
Could you please take a look and advise a fix?
Many thanks Ryan
Hi Ryan,
Thanks for the purchase.
Is that the page you are experiencing the issue? I suspect you may be referring to a single page view which should link to the front page.
Let me know.
Thanks,
Leo
Hi Leo
Thanks for the reply.
Correct, it is the single page view linking to the sections on the front page.
Thanks Ryan
Hi Ryan,
This is the expected behaviour then. All menu items will link to the homepage when in single page view.
Thanks,
Leo
P.S: I do have this noted down as an enhancement though it is not a a bug.
Hi Leo,
Great theme. I have searched for this issue but can’t seem to resolve it. My navigation at http://whenharrywedamy.com is not working. I am not sure why. Can you please take a look? Thanks,
Jimmy
Hi Jimmy,
Thanks mate. Appreciate it.
Is the issue you are having on desktop, mobile, other?
There is a minor existing bug on iPad landscape view that I am aware of, but is yours on another?
Let me know, thanks.
Leo
I’m having the same problem as @timwoolsey @realworldcs @boogiegraphics (instead of sidebar “Navigate to…” shows up.)
The sidebar used to show up fine until yesterday on my 13-inch Mac, and now it doesn’t anymore. So, this is not just an iPad problem.
Please let me know when this is fixed.
Hi @DeeKeilholz,
Thanks for letting me know. I am aware of the bug. Though a reminder that the black bar will show dependant on the breakpoint. Usually on iPads it is this, unsure about 13 inch Mac as it’s not part of my testing suite.
Once a fix is in place for the menu items to display you will definitely be notified.
Currently overseas but this is high on my to do list once I’m back.
Thanks,
Leo
If you click into a blog post none of the menus work in the left panel to navigate back home or any of the pages. I tried in different browsers, am i doing someone wrong if is this a big and will it be fixed?
Hi @ecmweb,
Can you check if you have the latest version of the theme? The intended behavior of the navigation when on a single page view is for it to link back to the homepage, this was a fix that was put in place within the latest version of the theme.
You will see this functionality on the live preview.
Thanks,
Leo
Hi there,
Like another customer, I’m also being capped at 10 photos for the photos section. How can I enable the theme to do more than 10 photos?
Thank you!
Another question—is there a way to password protect the RSVP portion of the site? I can do it on the page level (/rsvp), but on the homepage it still shows the form. Thanks!
Hi @juliabinti,
Re cap issue, yep, I’m aware as soon as I know more I’ll let you know.
Re password protecting the RSVP on the one page view, this is not supported. That is not to say it’s not possible but will require custom coding to achieve this.
Hope that clears things up, thanks.
Leo
I’m still only able to allow up to 10 photos as well. I’m on the 1.3 version and noticed the 1.4. I downloaded and tried to upload but said fail. How do I update to the 1.4 version without losing all my work on the 1.3 version already online. Need the fix for the iPad landscape and the photo gallery.
http://www.elegantoccasionsatl.com/blogHi @lalaboowho,
To update to the latest version you can do this by uploading the parent theme folder and overwriting the old ones. As long as all your changes were done through the child theme then you will not lose anything.
The fixes you speak of I’m aware of and will be available on the next version.
You will be notified through email when this is approved.
Thanks,
Leo
Hi!
I’ve just bought your theme. It’s beautifully designed.
How do I translate the theme? I need to translate the “and” that shows in the header between the names of the two people.
Would you please tell me how to do that?
Thanks a lot! Leonel
Never mind about that, I’ve already found the solution.
Another question, what shall I do if I wanted my contact form to look exactly like yours?
Thanks!
One question more please,
I need to have a page at the top, before the header. Is it possible to do that or the header will always be at top?
Thanks
Hi @leonelargentina,
Thanks for the lovely comment. Appreciate it.
Re your questions…
1. For the contact form to look like that seen in the live preview you could upload the demo content and an exact copy would be created. I show how this is done in the video walk through. Just note this is recommended for a fresh install only, so keep that in mind.
2. By header what do you mean? You can email me a screenshot if you like so I have a better indication of what you need.
Note, I will be away over the next few days so may not be able to get back to you straight away.
Thanks again,
Leo
Temporary fix on the sidebar issue
Warning: This merely a temporary fix for people like me who HAS to publish this website right now. When Leo releases a better fix then please use that one as I’m not sure what this will do to your site.
I’m currently using a Mac book pro 13 inch and I’ve tweaked the code so that the sidebar appears on screens my size (Up to 968px).
The media queries are written in em not px… but here’s a nice converter if you need this in a specific size: http://pxtoem.com/
Step 1: Go to foundation.min.css (themes_folder/assets/css/) Do a global search for 80em (which is 1280px) and bring that number to your desired screen size (I did 60.5em which is 968px)
Step 2: Go to media-queries.css (themes_folder/assets/css/) and do the same as above… changing the 80em into what ever your heart desires.
Then you’re all set.
Bonus: I found it redundant to have the logo there again and it was also messing up with my display so I went into the style.css (or you can do this on your child-theme css).
Add the following code:
.logo {display:none;}
Take a look at my site here… http://jcqu.es/1oikPov – Now to go and actually fill it in.
Ps: My proposal video http://jcqu.es/now_engaged
Hope this helps.
Thanks @boogiegraphics. I appreciate you sharing what you did.
I do want to clarify that the fix I will be putting in place is for the navigation to be displayed on iPad landscape view. There will be no side navigation as that is not how the break points have been designed to work. So essentially the top black bar nav will show and expand on the users touch event.
That being said if one does want it enabled on smaller devices then your approach will work quite nicely.
Just wanted to clarify the above so we are all on the same page.
Thanks again mate,
Leo
Hi there,
I would like to purchase this theme but want to know if I can customise the options in the RSVP a bit more. For example, there are meal choices, high chair options, music options, accommodation options etc that I would like guests to choose. So I would like to ask the questions in my own words and also have the answer options available as radio buttons, check boxes and/or empty text fields if possible.
Thanks!
Hi @lava123,
Thanks for your question. Yes, of course you can customize the form to suit your needs. It will require updating the inputs you need but it shouldn’t be anything too problematic.
The form itself is powered by Contact Form 7, which is a very popular plugin for WP. If anything check that out first and see if it suits. I think it will.
Any other questions just let me know.
Thanks,
Leo
I am having the same sidebar/navigation issue as @timwoolsey and @boogiegraphics
Essentially this theme replaces the left hand navigation with a black “Navigate To” top bar for smaller screens. However this menu only works on very small screens. If you load the site on say an iPad (in landscape mode) the menu does not work. It does however work in portrait mode on an iPad as the screen is then smaller. You can test this on your computer by reducing you browser’s window size and testing if the top black menu works. My guess is that the javascript files determine the screen sizes at which the left or top navigation will appear and there is a missing set of screen sizes. I believe the javascript files are encoded so I can not check this.
I would be grateful for a suggested fix for this ASAP as our invitations have been posted and we will have guests going to the site from today!
Thanks in advance.
Thanks for that @realworldcs.
You are correct. The navigation seems to have a small bug when on iPad landscape view. I will prioritise this fix as soon as I have access to a desktop.
I am currently overseas till the end of July though will try my best to get this sorted as soon as I can.
That being said, the site content will still be fully accessible to your guests so it won’t be as though they won’t see the information.
Please know as soon as this is fixed I will personally let you know.
Apologies for the inconvenience and I appreciate your understanding.
Thanks,
Leo
Hi there!
Just purchased your theme (Great by the way) but i’m having so much trouble to understand how to post photos like in the demo…. Epic fail i know… I created my “photos” page etc. But i can’t find the shortcode or the gallery plugin i need.
Thanks a lot!
Hi @fige,
Thanks so much.
Have you uploaded the demo content? This will greatly help so would recommend doing this first as it will replicate what is on the live preview.
Otherwise, what you can do is now that you created a Photos section, go to your Photos custom post type and add your collection as featured images then the corresponding title you wish.
See if that works.
I won’t be contactable for the next week as I will be in a remote area but if you have any other questions add it to the thread and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can
Thanks again,
Leo
Hi,
Thanks! Ok just did it! Works great! =)
Awesome!
Hi there,
I’m having the same problem as @booglegraphics.
My website is showing up with the black navigation bar instead of the sidebar, but when i go full screen in my browser the navigation bar comes back. For some of my friends it shows up correctly, for others it does not.
This seems to be a recent problem – could you help?
www.caitlynandtim.com
Hi @timwoolsey,
Thanks for your comment.
The black bar should show on smaller screens and not on larger screens (usually desktops). That would explain why you and your friends are seeing different things. The theme is responsive which means it caters to the device at hand.
That being said, there is a minor bug on iPad landscape mode with the navigation that has been identified.
As soon as a fix is in place you will be notified.
Thanks again and apologies for the inconvenience.
Leo
Purchased this for a wedding website. I purchased it because I saw that there’s been a new side-menu update. I’m having trouble accessing the new side-menu.
Do you have a more updated download link?
Hi @boogiegraphics,
The latest download link is always what is available on ThemeForest. What problem specifically are you having with the side menu?
If you can give me more information I’ll be able to answer your question more clearly.
Please note, I currently have limited internet access as I’m overseas, but I will try my best to get back to you as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Leo
Thanks @boogiegraphics,
You will see my response to @timwoolsey. Once I push through a fix for this you will be notified. That bring said, side navigation will only show on desktop devices or those with high resolutions.
Thanks,
Leo
Hey Leo, hope your overseas trip went well. I’m currently using the Mac Book Pro 13 Inch and when I zoom out of Chrome, I can tell that the sidebar navigation comes on screens over 1280px.
Is there anyway to lower that # to something like 980px or higher.
Thanks.
Still actually overseas but yes it’s going really well, thanks for asking. I’ve replied to your other comment so feel free to check it out.
Thanks mate,
Leo
