okay, so I think i got this thing working, I have created my own background for this file and it has a large graphic in the upper left hand corner. I need to know how to take the entire document and move it down about 5 or 6 lines so that the menu is below the graphic. if anyone knows how to do this, please email me @ sean87hopkins@gmail.com and that would be great.

it’s not that I don’t have html/css knowledge. I’ve been approached by someone whose friend needs a website and it’s that person who does not have experience (and claims not to have much of a head for such).
Once it’s set up, the only thing to change on a semi-regular basis would be the photos (he’s a photographer). He wants to maintain the slideshow himself and thus it needs to be easy for the non-experienced to handle on his own. So what I specifically want to know is whether the slideshow automatically takes whatever folders & images with their file names and displays them as categories OR does it require manually typing paths and such. He’s looking for something that is simple as possible to avoid messing up code or needing someone else to maintain it for him.
To be able to add new content, the user will need to copy the code of the previous items and then only change the image paths. They won’t be added automatically.

Hi could you tell me about the slideshow used for this template? I need something that is “country simple”, i.e. someone with no expertise could use.
Is it as simple as an image folder (with folders within it for multiple categories/galleries); or does it require editing an xml page or similar, entering the path and name for each image?
Is there documentation that I can view prior to purchasing?

First of all, if you have no knowledge of HTML and CSS , then we suggest you consider the Wordpress version. However if you will purchase the HTML version, the help documentation provided in the theme package covers what needs to be done to be able to use the slideshow or any other feature in the theme. You can see what topics are covered from here: http://piximory.com/templates/locus/help/helpfull.jpg The steps are easy to follow. However if you have trouble applying any of them you can always ask us.

I really want to buy this, but I have one question:
When I see in your preview (Dark) that I use the “simple slider”, I get all the cool icons just underneath it.
But when I preview the 3d slider (Dark), those icons don’t show up.
How can I use the 3d slider and also have those icons show up in a row underneath like in the simple slider preview?
If I can have the icons with the 3d slider, I will purchase it.

If you have a knowledge of HTML , then you can do this very easily. You will just need to copy the code that includes the services icons and paste it under the 3D Slider. We didn’t make it that way because the users with lower resolutions couldn’t see them both when they enter the page.

Hi, I noticed a few people have commented on the divs (pages) appearing as straightforward HTML , on Safari, rather than scrolling using js.
Just for everyone’s information- I’ve noticed this myself but can confirm it’s only when the files are running locally.
They’re fine when uploaded to a live server.
(PS great template – only just got it so I’ll probably have some questions in the coming week … but it’s a great package – very well organised and commented. Very impressed!)

If you can send us your FTP information by using the contact form on our profile page we can increase the number of posts to 6. But we don’t recommend more than 6, because the users that have low resolutions may not be able to see the whole section.

I seem to have lost the ‘blend’ effect somehow on my nav menu, I was compressing some of the js files down and tried putting them at the bottom of my page to speed up load times, but something has gone wrong with the nav menu, the link and :hover colours have changed and the blend effect no longer works, can you help? I previewed this site template earlier today on my PC and it worked great. Now I am looking at it on my Mac and it does not seem to work. I am using FareFox 3.6.10 for Mac. It looks great in Safari, but not in FireFox. I was just about to purchase this template, but now I am not so sure. Any thoughts?

We’ve checked the template with both Mac and PC and haven’t come across any problems. Can you provide us a screenshot so that we can see what is wrong? When you were viewing it with Firefox, is it possible that JavaScript was disabled?
I have a screen shot to share. How would you like me to get it send to you? Javascript is not turned off.
Here’s what not working:
1. The slide show on the home page 2. The portfolio does not filter by tag 3. When a portfolio image is selected, it loads the image in the same browser window as the page itself 4. The news window does not function at all 5. The “Change Theme” function in the demo does not work

This template was built on a Mac using Firefox and it works great when viewing with Firefox. The issues you stated all are related Javascript and if they’re not working then scripts probably were not loaded fully. Can you try viewing the template by removing the frame on Themeforest?

First, very nice theme. I purchased both the HTML and WordPress versions.
I seem to be having the same issue with both themes. On an HTML site, the theme does not scroll when menu item is clicked—in Safari only. The HTML theme works perfectly in Chrome, Firefox, Camino, and Opera.
The same scrolling issue is with a WordPress site using the same theme. Clicking the menu takes the user immediately to the #section, with no scrolling.

Locus has been purchased 700+ times and no one ever mentioned any warning about malicious software. The theme doesn’t have any suspicious scripts. The reason for the warning can be any content you added after publishing the page.

Which version have you bought Wordpress or HTML ? This is the discussion page of the HTML version. If you’ve bought the HTML one, then you cannot use it as a wordpress template. If you’ve bought the Wordpress version, then please redownload the theme again, it may be broken. You will just need to upload the “locus” under “Theme” directory to your server to install it.
