Is there an easy way to recreate the nice blue “view comments” button for other purposes?
Hey ajstocco,
Sure, send an email over to support@ecko.me and I’ll provide you with some instructions for this.
Is there a way to disable all of the “about the author” stuff? I’m looking at using it as a single-user theme (personal website).
Hey kdsanders,
Yep, you can hide this information via the ‘Theme Customizer’ options.
Hey, I love this theme, I was wondering how I would I got about placing a read more text link in place of [...] on the main page?
Hey DivBay,
If you send me an email to support@ecko.me, I’ll send some instructions on how to do this.

Hello! Great work!
One comment: Please, create option to make the navigation menu always visible and make it nice at mobile device also at the top. And if it possible , create option to choose png file for logo.
Thanks a lot!
Hey,
Thanks for your comments.
Astro supports the PNG image format for the logo. As for the navigation feature, this is coming in the next update. Until then, you can use some custom CSS to always show the menu (email me at support@ecko.me for details how to do so).
Hello!
Thank you for your care! I have little request to improve your really great and clean theme before buy:
1 – In additional info of post, please, add the number of minutes, for example, Posted by Harvey Specter on March 7th, 2014 – 4 min read (like in medium.com)
2 – Add navigation with numbers, not just “Older Posts”
3 – on mobile device: Menu at the top, and make “ugly” search beautiful

That will be brilliant for all users not just to me!
Great honor!
Astro v2.0 has been released, and will be available to download once approved by ThemeForest. It includes some of the corrections you mentioned in your last comment. The changelog for this update can be found in the item description.
So no styling for contact forms? I’m using Contact Form 7 and looks horrible
Hey cybergus,
All forms and input fields should have styling, send me a preview link to support@ecko.me and I’ll check it out.
Great theme! I was just about to purchase it until I noticed a couple of drawbacks: 1. The hamburger icon/menu doesn’t show at all on mobile and tablet devices, so my extra pages like “about” or “contact me” wouldn’t show. 2. The “X minutes left” doesn’t work properly – it should show how long it takes you to read the article, not how long it takes you to read the whole page – at the moment, until you hit the very bottom of the page, it still says “1 minute left” – it’s a minor detail, but still one I can’t help but notice. Any help on these please? Thanks!

Hey berny90,
When the visitors device resolution is too restrictive (such as on mobile), the navigation moves into the footer of the page.
The majority of the time the end of the page is the end of the article/post, but when loading comments it does seem to extend the timer. Seems like a minor issue that I will address in the next update.
If you have any other questions let me know, the best way to contact me is via email support@ecko.me
I’ve been looking for a theme like this! This looks really well done and thought out. Congrats!
I do have 2 questions..
1. The title of each blog post in the top bar seems to be positioned a little oddly here: http://glui.me/?i=wwi4cnki57npypa/2014-04-20_at_12.54_PM.png/ Is there any option to choose a different location for the blog title in the top bar?
2. I noticed that the main menu actually shows when you rollover on the icon, and then disappears if your mouse pointer moves away too much. Is there any alternate way to show the main menu? Or maybe a way to show it at all times?
Hey alikapadia,
Thanks for your comments.
The left side of the article bar will present the current header section you are reading, while the right will show the title of the post. Currently there is no option to change the position of the title, however, if you wanted it to be on the left side I could provide you with instructions on how to change this manually.
As for the navigation, it is possible to get the navigation to always be shown, but this will require some small custom CSS that you can paste in the admin panel of your WordPress install.
If you decide to purchase Astro, send me an email to support@ecko.me and I’ll send you information above.
This is absolutely breathtaking. Thanks so much for all your hard work. $35 is a steal for this design.
Even better than I thought after playing with it. I thought I was going to have to apply tags for the cool header change, manually set a featured image for the large image, etc. Nope – all of that is auto-detected. This is truly brilliant.
Thanks! Glad your enjoying the theme. Your comment just made my day.
If you have any queries, you can contact me via email support@ecko.me.
Hey,
great and simple Theme. But i have a small Issue: I cant write German umlauts in the post-title…
Thanks guy!
Hey ThemeBeards,
Thanks for your comments.
Send me an email to support@ecko.me and I’ll get this sorted for you.
Hello
If a “global background image” is set, can background images be changed for featured posts?
I love that the theme is content driven, but the ability to add a featured image on the home page would be the icing on the cake.
Cheers!
Hey josefstevens,
The background image option simply changes the entire background on the blog. You can set a feature post image using the upload option on the post creation page (for each individual posts).
Currently there is no way to add a feature image to the homepage, but its been requested a few times and I may consider adding the feature in the near future.
I’ll keep you updated.
Thanks for the reply. A purchase awaits the addition the featured image on the home page!
I cant really understand, does it has a sidebar so I can place widgets and ads? I see on homepage the sidebar or whatever it is, stays fixed on the same position… Please explain I need to know before I buy
Hey dinko1,
There are two widget areas in the footer, which is shown on every page. There is also one widget area on the index profile sidebar, and this is only shown on the index (post list).
Really nice. Is it possible to customise the main page so that I could have a background or section image / header?
What muggz said – would be nice to see what features we can customise
Hey cgorion,
Thanks for your comments.
You can set a global background image which will be used throughout the blog, but currently there is no way to set a featured title on the index page.
Hi there,
Any chance you could put up some screen shots of the options or a link?
I’m just keen to see what I can customise easily
Cheers!
Hey Muggz,
I’m testing out this theme on my iPad, and the Facebook/Twitter share buttons on the bottom of each post don’t seem to work. Seems to function as expected using Chrome on my Mac, but not on the iPad.
Hey MikeLemovitz,
I’ll look into this. Thanks for reporting the issue.
I’ve tested this on an iPad Air running iOS 7.1 and an iPhone running iOS 7. On both devices I’m having no issues with the share buttons.
The share buttons open a new window, maybe your browser settings have this disabled?
If possible, could you send some more information about the issue to support@ecko.me, with your device model and software version.
Thanks.
I can’t for the life of me, find the demo anywhere… the button here takes me to your blog, the post on your blog takes me to a nice writeup about it, but no link to an actual demo.
Thats not my blog, what you’re looking at is the blog theme preview, the posts are example content.
WOAH! I like the design but why the huge discrepancy in price between the $16 Ghost theme and the $35 Wordpress theme?
Hey luc9488,
The WordPress platform is much more complex and comes with many more features than Ghost. Development for this takes time, and thus requires a higher price tag. Some extra features include: Tag & Category Pages, Archive Page, Author Profiles, Multi-Author Support, Self-hosted Comments, Plugin Support, Widgets, Search, Themes Options Page, Translation Support, Integration with Admin Panel etc.
That being said, $35 is the lowest price bracket of WordPress themes on ThemeForest. All ghost conversions will be selling for minimum of $35. I can assure you the time invested justifies the price tag of the item in comparison to the Ghost version.
Tried to view demo, but it says your website is down?
Ray
Hey Ray,
I’m having no issues on my end which is odd. Maybe try the direct link at http://astrowp.ecko.me
Let me know if you’re still having a problem with the above.
cool clean theme GLWS
