There are specific types of post that can made. “quote”, “gallery”, etc. I’ve seen this in many other themes.
Is this actual a core WP feature? Meaning that if I used these they would not “break” in the event that I changed themes?

Does this template have any method to categorize/manage media used in the galleries and/or portfolios. OR Does it just use the “non-categorized” default built into WP media?

Armada features dedicated “Photo Albums” post type. Additionally you can assign categories to those Albums.
All images added in “Photo Albums” post type will appear in the WP media gallery (in case you need to re-use them on in other albums or posts/pages/etc.)

I have purchased a couple of these newer “theme specific” type templates lately and have found them to be unusable for the following reason:
- they have so many features that “break” in the event that I change themes in the future. I find it absurd to purchase a template that requires me to “re-build” years worth of content and layouts in the event that I should wish to change templates down the road. I realize that the basic layout/design of the site has to be redone,, but actual content should remain the same through any template.
So my question is,,, can you tell me what features of your template will not hold up to a change in templates. I still might be able to use the template if I avoid using specific features that are offered.

In this case you need to find a very basic blog theme that will not utilize the custom post types, custom meta boxes and any other stuff that makes premium theme a premium theme 
Seriously mate, if you need something other than a blog, you HAVE to bound your content with theme OR a plugin. Telling you this as a WordPress developer with quite a bit of experience and knowing of how stuff works in this industry.
You gave me an idea though. Tomorrow I’ll be discussing with colleagues the possibility of making a portfolio-style theme using just standard features without extending the WordPress.
that would be pretty cool if you did… I’ve run into this in the past where suddenly three years down the road some plugin I’ve relied on just stops being developed… then suddenly I’m left having to waste weeks “re-building” three years of content because some plugin becomes too outdated…

You need a individual logo on a page with transparent header? There’s an option for that on a page were you are assigning this header.

I want to change the first one (the name is …pure whithe..). The only possibilty is to change the image in the database manually. The second one is easy to change as you mentioned.

Hello I brought your Cardamon template about 2rs back and now the theme is not to continue to support newer wordpress, which I am disappointed about. If I buy this am I able to transfer my existing theme over to Armada quite easily, or will I need to fully rebuild?

great theme. the flexibility is far and above any other theme. however, i am having issues with the color accent option which does not work. no matter which color i choose in theme options, it still defaults to the purple/violet color. any ideas? i clicked “save options” and it wont change. It will only change from solid to gradient.

Hi – when I install the theme, I keep getting this issue:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /hermes/bosnaweb09a/b1519/ipw.whatupchuk/public_html/wewanttoknow/wp/wp-content/themes/dt-armada/inc/helpers/portfolio-helpers.php on line 358
This happens when I do a preview – when I activate the theme, it kills my WP instance and I have to delete the entire folder for it to come back.
So confused – puchased a lot of themes and never had this issue..

I currently have “The 7” as my theme. I’m thrilled that you now have a theme dedicated to photograpy. So I’m thinking I would like to switch to Armada. My question, does this theme support password protected galleries, where clients will be able to click like or leave comments for reviewing or even purchasing?

Theme features dedicated albums pages; you can enable comments there as well. However please note that comments for individual photos are not available at this moment.

Armada has a great support for WooCommerce and especially selling digital goods. You can hook up photos from gallery to corresponding goods in WooCommerce (though it’s quite a bit of additional work).
Is it possible to have video and youtube videos as background?

I can only insert an album if it has a category attached to it. After only few months of posts I will have about 20 categories or sub categories. By the end of the year, way to many. When I think of selecting a category I think of referencing a group of albums… but since I would have to associate a category to each album and name it the same as the album title itself. The “USE” of the category function be comes useless and irritating. THAT is my disappointment. I would be ok with a title selection integration. As I thought I had fixed in the post above. Now think of people who do photography on the fly as now the sony cameras have NFC so you can post from your phone.. When I post its going to from my phone, which mean using the default gallery, that does not do masonry or grid. If you make that a reality you will have to most popular word-press design out there for photographers and artists everywhere. I would also recommend reclassifying this theme to creative instead of photography to avoid other disappointing customers or questions like this that you will be getting. I know it takes time and talent to design a theme, and to that I say well done. But it falls short for a active photographer.

Amazing theme! Would you please tell me how to setup the progressbars? A can add them as shortcode, but cant find a way to make them animated or with text inside… Cant find a list with possible settings.

HI, I’m trying to install “Minify” plugin for CSS, HTML and JS for better site speed. Especially for Google Page speed score. But none of standard plugins are not compatible, e.g. W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, Better WordPress Minify. Any solution how solve this problem? Do you have any compatible plugin that is working properly?

The only thing you need to notice is that it is impossible to get really great Google Page Speed scores if you are running a WordPress site and use plugins. Google hates all those excess JavaScript and styles even if you merge and minify them
