I’m really enjoying this template, but sometimes with the grey background it is tough to read the text. Would you ever consider adding another display “mode” that would include a primarily white background for the main content area and navigation (versus the built-in grey and black backgrounds).

We have no idea how your customer react to this point “very very hard to read text” as the normal font size, color should be in white / black contrast AND there is also a dark mode for deep contrast to read the text.

So to confirm all the MVC views in the theme have the @header and @render @scripts sections in CSHTML, is that correct?
In the demo link, the documentation does not show what sections you have.
Also on changing colors or adding logos etc.
Please consider adding d3 , echarts and datatables helpers.

All the pages will be in cshtml with separate partial cshtml files (header/sidebar/content).
Bear in mind that the template didn’t include any backend logic (retrieve data from db and etc) and all the view files is for demo purposes. If you are looking for a fully functional app for asp.net, please do not purchase the template.

Thanks for your reply. The file name is like themeforest-XXXXXXX-aspstudio-net-core-31-mvc-bootstrap-4-admin-template.zip. and it seems not to be the latest one. Is it just an issue of a wrong file name and the content is all the newest?

The file name is a system generated file name by themeforest. This is because when the file has been uploaded, it is with bootstrap 4 and .net core 3.1 AND it has been updated to bootstrap 5 and .net core 5.0 after that.

Hi, I purchased the template and have a first look. I think you must change the behaviour when the dark mode is set on and you choose another page by the menu. The page will flicker white and then change back to dark mode.

The Chart.js page in your AspStudio template does not load any chart types. Is there a browser setting blocking the chart types from loading? I’ve tried using Chrome, FF and Edge. All the same result. The ApexCharts.js page loads fine in all browsers.

Hi Sean… Well done on the template, it is really impressive. A couple of quick questions on the Theme Panel. When in Dark-Mode, each time a page loads, it starts in the normal mode, then switches to Dark Mode. Any idea how to make it always start in Dark Mode if the user has that selected?
I’d like btn-Primary and btn-outline-Primary to match theme color selected by the user. What is the easiest way to achieve that?

Regarding your question, 1. you may set the cookie name ‘app-theme-dark-mode’ to dark mode before page load OR add the dark-mode class to the tag <html lang=”en” class=”dark-mode”>
2. You might need to add some custom css to replace the default button primary css styling. e.g
<style type=”text/css”> .btn-primary { background: var(—app-theme); color: var(—app-theme-color); } .btn-primary:hover, .btn-primary:focus { background: var(—app-theme); color: var(—app-theme-color); opacity: 0.75; } </style>

Thanks for the quick reply Sean. I’ve got the CSS working but I’m not sure I understand about setting the cookie. The cookie is being set correctly when the user selects it, and the current page changes to the correct mode.
What I’m seeing is if the user selects Dark mode, it changes the current page as expected, but then when the user moves to the next page, it loads the page in “normal” mode, then immediately switches to dark mode. This results in an annoying “flicker” most of the time when the user changes a page. I see this in Edge and Chrome.

The overall logic for the demo site is
1. When user select the dark mode it will store a value to the cookie
2. When page load, it will detect whether the cookie exists and will enable the dark mode again if it exists. (When page load it will load the default layout first before enable dark mode. This is why you will see the flicker effect”
3. You can use backend programming language to detect the cookie first and apply the dark-mode class to the html tag which will solve the flicker effect.
