Having issues installing the template. I have successfully installed the Automod but when I go to upload the bbcore it doesnt appear in the styles tab.

can this be installed on existing phpbb3? the reason being is that i would prefer to use softaculous installer (to ease my upgrade).
If it’s possible, what is the different between installing on an existing board vs. fresh installation. any lack of functionality?

For sure you can but I wouldn’t suggest softaculus even if it was the last resource on earth! It creates so many problems. I can install it for you if you like. You can do existing forum or a new forum. Its up to you.

Yes you can customize BBOOTS the way you like it best as it is the only phpBB forum theme that has been built entirely with the Bootstrap framework. (other authors in this phpBB section claim their themes are built with bootstrap but sadly that is not the case and is misrepresented as their themes barely use bootstrap :-/ )

I want to buy the theme, but one friend of mine that used it, told me it’s hard to get the recent post layout to work, I don’t know if that’s the case but if you have me know how to do it, ill buy the theme that same moment. It’s the only deal-breaker for me

I really feel this is an opportunity. It wil be the second time spending money on a theme and i dont want to regret it. I really hope it helps creating a forum. What is your opinion? Isn’t a forum a great way not only to drive new traffic to a website (tech, gaming) behind it but also to create a big fan base?

I’ve been doing a lot of customization for gaming communities lately. For example I just finished a MineCraft forum and also built a addon with the minecraft Community Bridge. It allows the Admin to see many stats for the players and checks the validity of their usernames on the Minecraft server etc.. This a phpBB theme. In order to use it as HTML/CSS you’ll need to remove all the php variables in the template files.. But that it’s not really easy to do. You would be better off starting from scratch following the classes/id available. If you build your basic HTML5 structure you could import the Bootstrap files, and then the basics.css stylesheet. Then you would follow the HTML5 structure like the forum.

Before buying the theme I would like to know some things:
1. Is it possible to manage main menu by adding intern/extern links in?
2. Does exist a layout I can chose in admin panel to add sidebar ?
3. Does exist a CSS custom field to add some modifications ? And by the way, could I add JS script in a special area dedicated for?
4. Are custom pages only limited to change colors, or can we add our own HTML/CSS template page in the theme ?

The top navigation wouldn’t be a problem for you to achieve as you would simply use the Bootstrap fixed or static navigation. The rest would need some coding… I do offer these type of customization to my client as a freelance work. Also, the official community site has some great tutorials, MODs and premium addons:

Some minor structure change is most likely needed in order to have a cleaner result. The overall_header.html should be all you need to edit.
