If I already have the license for WHMCS, are there any other things I need other than this template to make it integrate? Basically is this just a shell template that will just make WHMCS look better, or do I need to also buy something else, like WHMCS bridge?

you do not need WHMCS bridge. WHCMS template that included in the HTML template, is completely autonomus. Just upload it to your templates folder and activate it via WHMCS admin when you setup your links to header.tpl and footer.tpl
