It is very impressive theme and Design is very cool. I am working on updates for USA working blog and I want to use this theme template. Please Guide me the procedure. Thank you

Hello, the installation procedure is documented and you’ll receive the documentation with your purchase. We also provide installation service for extra fee.

Hello, Does the theme support language translation?

Currently, this is not supported.

Hi, hope you’re doing well.

Just a quick question, in regards to the “team members” page, are their more face templates that one can choose from aside from the three provided? (ie. jane-smith.png ,john-doe.png, steve-grant.png) . If not available, can you point me to the area where I can find more of these templates to choose from.

Kind regards

Hello,

Thank you.

You can get more of those illustrations from the Open Peeps project by Pablo Stanley.

Thanks for the reply, I’m having an issue with the adding a category part of the documentation. In the science blog theme, I’m trying to change the name of the category “Energy & Environment” to “News”. I did that by renaming the 2 files >site>content>categories>energy-environment.json/svg to news.json/svg. I also changed the “name”: in the json file from “Energy & Environment” to “News”.

Doing this however gave me an “unhandled runtime error” in packages/themes/gatsby-theme-flexiblog-science/src/containers/Posts.jsx:153.

I’m not sure what to do next to modify the category names based on the names that I want to replace them.

Kind regards

You’re welcome.

When I found this theme with GatsbyJS and React JS, I am happy, and want to buy this theme. I want to try new ecosystem, based on Node.Js. But there are couple things that still hold me.

1. Algolia search, need to pay if need more units, plus they put backlink anchor tag link “search by Algolia”, want to know if Flexiblog in the future update, this theme/ElegantStack will give the option for using built-in own search like WordPress and other CMS? (Very Important)

2. Suggestion: if in the future, ElegantStack might develop its own friendly CMS easy but lightweight, 723 Sales x 29 = $20.967, it will be great to have your own ecosystem and community with this theme. You might do crowdfunding to develop this project CMS, I will contribute for 50 to 100 Dollars, or you can sell separate CMS for this theme for those who needs it. Then later you can develop more integrated plugins for it. Like Ghost CMS, I am considering using it but this theme with GatsbyJS and ReactJS are tempting me.

3. Suggestion: If You can add public previews, a publication with memberships and subscriptions like Ghost.

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in FlexiBlog.

1) Currently, we don’t have any plans to add Algolia alternatives as their free plan is sufficient for most of the websites.

2) Thank you for your suggestion.

3) We’ve thought about that but haven’t researched it yet.

One last question before purchase it, do you have plan for future update to feature/integrating Ghost headless CMS to Flexiblog theme? including its Multiple Authors feature? How can I do display 2 authors at a post on Flexiblog?

1) Ghost is different from the headless CMSes we’ve integrated. They have their own opiniated data schema which makes it difficult to integrate into FlexiBlog as we already have our own data schema and currently, we don’t have any plans for this integration.

2) Currently, FlexiBlog does not support co-authoring but if you’re familiar with Gatsby and GraphQL you can make your own modifications to add this functionality.

is there an angular version of this template ?

No, sorry. GatsbyJS is compatible with React only.

I guess the current versions(after 3) are not working with contentful API anymore. I’ve tried to update my previous installation and also a brand-new one with the last two versions, but they are throwing error when building.

All CMSes are tested and working properly.

Please submit a support ticket with the build log and we’ll help you to resolve the issue.

It’s ok. I just wanted to know if it’s working before putting more time on it. I’ll figure it out. Thank you for your fast response.

No problem. Please feel free to contact support whenever you have any questions.

helllo, can I integrate to my own api backend? And, does it come with rich text editor?

Hello,

All the supported CMSes have rich text editors. It is possible to add your own data source but that requires modifications to the source code and being comfortable to work with both Gatsby and GraphQL.

Oh, I see that Ghost is not supported. Cheers.

Hello,

Currently FlexiBlog supports these CMSes: Contentful, Strapi, Netlify CMS and Sanity

I just downloaded the package and received five errors when unzipping your files:

https://i.imgur.com/Yz9h1HN.png https://i.imgur.com/85ENXNW.png https://i.imgur.com/9N5k3on.png https://i.imgur.com/tON2EqZ.png https://i.imgur.com/XwGEvko.png

I simply skipped these files. How will that affect my install/functionality?

Hello,

That should not affect the functionality of the theme. Those are the sample blog posts that you can skip extracting.

A solution to overcome this limitation of windows is to shorten the path you’re extracting the files into and extract them in a higher directory.

there are no dash between words for url links (ex: https://flexiblog-medical.netlify.app/amiovulatinghowtospotthesigns/)

Ops, sorry I forgot to put slug in the index.mdx. Solved.

You’re right. The slug should be dash-separated and it should be generated automatically. The slug property is optional and used when you want to override the default slug.

We just released a new version (v3.1.0) and this issue is fixed. Thank you for informing us.

How can we remove “Powered by GATSBY” statement and link in the footer?

Please submit a support ticket and support will help you with it.

Looks like https://flexiblog-beauty.netlify.app ist broken with the new update?

Thanks for informing us. We just released a patch (v3.0.1) to fix the issue.

Is it possible to add a template to the archive as well?

Sorry, I didn’t understand your question. Could you elaborate?

Does the theme support RTL? I can translae it. But I need, that the theme support RTL.

Sorry, RTL is not supported.

Do you have a recommended approach for multi-language blog or blocks?

Unfortunately no. We haven’t looked into it but Gatsby has some information in their docs.

Would it be possible to integrate a flyout into the header navigation to show some sub menus?

Currently, the themes don’t share navigations.

Is there any update on the mega menu integration?

Sorry, I don’t have an ETA for it. We’re still working on it. It’s a major update and mega menu is just part of the update.

Hi

I just bought this – I had asked few questions about setup and installation, I was not completely sure and as I worried – I am in dark now.

I am not a programmer, I do not have experience with node js – however, i thoguth i should give this a try.

After downloading the package and going through the docs, I am stuck.

For example – Strapi CMS – I went and installed strapi on Digital Ocean one click applications – DO advised to check strapi docs to start with my server, and when i click on the link, i get 404 error ( https://share.getcloudapp.com/llu9Avol )

I guess there is something wrong with Strapi

Now with regards to your Docs, you have given instructions as to how to install Strapi – which may not make any sense as i am using oneclick install from DO – after install, i created user and logged in to the backend – now i am stuck

I dont know how to use the template or have the design uploaded to my server.

Not sure how to proceed further

Hello!

No worries. We’ll help you to get started.

I just replied to your support ticket. Please continue the conversation by replying to that email.

Please fix SEO plugin : Not all markup is eligible for rich results see report link https://search.google.com/test/rich-results?id=UGpM5iPbDYuvzaAEVAZ-ew

Fixed: Click here for test results

It was a config issue in the demo, not the SEO component. If you have the same problem, adding https to siteURL in theme options fixes it.

Thank’s fixed

Just curious, will you update the theme to Gatsby v3.0 (released today)?

Yes, we’ll upgrade to Gatsby v3 but I don’t have an ETA.

Fair enough, I’m just happy you’ll upgrade eventually.

FlexiBlog v3 is released with Gatsby v3 compatibility.
