I have some questions

2. We only have 1 user ratings by a lava review addon.
3. We use comments for reviews. there is no comments on listings.

As you asked you can search by categories and sub categories. You can find it on our demo sites and maps. There is no option to add more filters. Please have a look at our demo sites what we have for searching.
1. Sorry im unable to find sub categories on the demo sites. ie Car Manufacturer = Ford. Sub Category = Focus . only tags ?
2. are the tags associated with the Main category OR the sub category ? and all the same irrespective of which category is selected ie Car Tags will of course be different from say Hotel tags ?

1. On map.. ( http://prntscr.com/ckushl, http://prntscr.com/ckusqi ) If you want to display on block, you can have a look at the link I provided. it’s possible to display some specific categories only.
2. Tags are one of listing categories. you can use them for all of categories or listings. it’s not related.
3. We don’t have a link for it. there is “order by” option and one of value is “rating” if you have a rating addon. then the setting is for displaying by ratings. Please make sure that it’s a block shortcode. it’s not on maps.

If you need to have payment options, you have to purchase a addon plugin and install it. if you don’t need, you don’t have to install it. the cart is from a free plugin. you also don’t need to install it. If you want to show products and free, you may need to find how to setup all free in woocommerce.
Please have a look at our documentation. ( http://javothemes.com/spot/documentation/shortcode-blocks/ ) If it doesn’t support what you need, you need to add custom css code for them. Unfortunately there is no option for views, likes, share for now. you may need to find a plugin which works fine with our theme.
If the search feilds dropdown without a click, it might be too busy movement. we don’t the option.

I think it is important to have the options of selecting amenities based on the category the user is searching. After all it is a directory.

Your last update was in June . Almost 3 months without any improvement.
For example why not move geolocation in home page, instead to have it pratically hidden in search results page?
Also in mobile view there is not geolocation button.
What the sense of this in a era where web design main rule is “mobile first”?

I am sorry about that. as I told you, not sure when it will be ready. our team has been quite busy for other issues and major design updates which are more important.
The feature is not ready. we can tell you the same answer as before. it’s not only our development work.it should be from lava plugin team and we need to work for compatibility. as I told you that we have a plan for it. but it’s not simple to make it and takes time.
We are about to have a maintenance update soon. the update time is not fixed or scheduled due to unexpected code issues.
Geolocation is working on mobile at this moment. we didn’t setup to show. however ajax searching on mobile is almost ready. (some of our buyers are already using it). it will be more flexible and better for mobile pages.
I hope you understand this matter for the feature.

Hi, I found bug. If you will filter here http://javothemes.com/spot-test/ for example (Breakfast, Computer, Elevator) and hit SEARCH, you will get the map with results, but there will be no “Listing Amenities” button, as It is ussual for this kind of searches in your tool. The way, you can make this visible is to manually open advanced filter and hit Apply. Only after that it is visible. I think this thing is not working as It should be. Take a look.
Second question, how far is compatibility with CHROME and location servis in map? It only works in IE

The google map policy has been changed to have SSL server (https://) for geolocation on chrome (or some browsers). it’s all same to everyone for security reasons. once you have, it works fine.

1. If you will filter here http://javothemes.com/spot-test/
2. Check for example (Breakfast, Computer, Elevator) (as on your screen)
3. hit SEARCH, you will get the map with results
4. but there will be no “Listing Amenities”
As you can see the problem is not in the 2. part, it is in the 4. part of testing.
Can you then create https testing site to present this in best view?
If you are struggling with https, you can allow SSL from Let’s Encrypt service, its FREE and you can set it up in minutes!

I apologize if I misunderstood. however I don’t still understand that no “listing amenities”. as you see the screenshot, there is an amenities filter. do you want to show “list of amenities” on each listings on map? if so, it doesn’t show due to small space.
Unfortunately we can’t have SSL on our demo sites yet. the hosting doesn’t provide free or simple ones due to heavy data. we are considering to move our server as well. however it works fine with SSL. it’s google API.
There is one button which should appear, if you are already filtering some Amenities, the button is with the text “Listing Amenities”. I was tried to say, that, If you will follow my testing scenario, this button will be missing after you filter something. However, you can still find checked amentities after you click on details. But without this button, which is ussually visible after you filter lists in map view.
i understand, you can also put this presentation on some external domain. But it is very nice to hear, that it is working. Do you have some working example from some of your buyers? I would love to see it in action, before buy.
I understand what you mean. that’s advanced searching and they are in advanced filters. I could find them easily. I don’t think it’s a bug. maybe it’s better to have a button. however we need to see and have good enough space. I will pass it to our support team but not sure how they will achieve or not.
Unfortunately we are not allowed to share url without our buyer’s permission. it’s google map api and new policy as I provide the google links. it works fine after you use SSL.

Great looking theme – some pre-sale questions for you.
I’m interested in this theme for a website for students, listing universities and their courses, and university counselors (agents).
1) Can I have 2 different kinds of profile pages – one for universities and one for counselors? Their fields will be different and of course the search filters will need to be different also.
2) On the university profile pages, will I be able to list a searchable directory of that university’s courses? So a student looking at University A will be able to research the courses it offers. Will I be able to include the courses in the search filter?
3) I want to monetize by offering featured listings. Will I be able to display Featured Universities in the profile pages for Featured Counselors, and vice versa? What options are there to define Featured Universities?
4) Can I have custom pages, for example a page with text talking about a location, then with a listing of universities in that area?

1. Unfortunately there is no different profile pages. it’s a common profile page you can use.
2. This is a business directory theme. we don’t have course searching filter. please also see if you can replace some features / options to what you want. you can have a look our demo sites.
3. I believe that profile pages means “listing detail pages”. you can add widgets on the page. but not counselors. you can select some featured listings and display on pages, listing detail pages. (except some fixed templates such as submit forms, maps.. etc)
4. You can make some custom pages with visual composer. it supports drag and drop option to build pages. but not sure how you want to create your own pages. these custom pages (customization), you need to work on.
I believe your project is little different from our demo sites. you need to have a look at our demo sites with your details before you purchase. our support is not included customization. if you need some more advanced / detail options for your project, you need to work on them by yourself.

I am planning to make a purchase but a few pre-sales questions.
1- On your demo, locations are only entitled as cities, eg. “Liverpool”. Is it possible to list one item under a country first, then a city; eg. “United Kingdom” – “Liverpool”. So that, while making a search, visitor will select “United Kingdom” first, then select a city “Liverpool” “Leeds” etc.
2- I can see that search results come with a Google Maps box. But I dont want a Google Maps box, I only want to see the names of instiutions in the system. Is it possible to remove the Google Maps from the search results page?
3- The default homepage comes with 3 search boxes, is it possible to add more? I am planning to have 4 search options, so I need 4 boxes there.
4- Also, I realized that your demo page has 71% pagespeed score on GtMetrix. Is it, just something wrong with your demo, or what can be done to improve the page speed with your theme?
5-How the rating/comment sytem works on a single page? Can the visitors comment and rate the products/services or they have to be registered?

1. You need to make sub categories for cities. parent category is for country. it’s just like wordpress default taxonomy. it shows all of your locations. not select count first and show cities.
2. You need to customize it. we don’t have any option to change or remove google maps.
