Custom fields addons will be ready soon. you can use for custom fields. however it’s not possible to add them on fields or search forms.. and assign for categories.
It will be displayed on listing detail pages.

Unfortunately guys, it’s not for me at this stage – it kind of looks like it has been a been rushed and not ready for release, similar to how I felt with the previous directory. I’ll keep checking back and to see any improvements.

Good questions. we are currently considering to make it. but it’s little hard to place (or make the map as a shortcode to place any places you want). that’s why we may put it on top of the page and be able to add your content below the map. it should be ready soon as new demo. we may keep considering about it to make better. maybe 1 more content area. like between maps (before map, after map).
2. because we use high resolution images. you can make it light or use CDN for your images. it’s faster.

Javo directory is a quite great one. we were consider update it to javo spot but too different framework and create as new theme. Javo spot us a plugin ( lava directory manager) which can extend so many extra addons. it’s also possible other authors can add more. javo directory is great. but javo spot is more advanced framework. spot used woocommerce as well. you can use woo commerce booking and vendors.
it’s not possible to switch them. it’s different post-type. but you need export and import xml.

Javo spot seems more pro but I’m not sure if it is better than Javo Directory. Javo directory has many looks with and without map. map wide, map tab … Javo Directory has some missed features like UserPro integration, Schema google snippets , ... Does Javo spot cover these?

we have most of maps except map tab style. but you can place search filter on top with advanced addons.
Userpro plugin is very good one and we already contacted them if we can create some pages for listings. but it seems to be hard to make it. schema google snippets will be added in the future.
We are currently working on some more parts. I hope our clients like it.

Hi, Is it quiet easy for admin to swap between categories having map disabled/enabled globally and/or per category ? so like if you dont want to show category maps for a few days you can quickly do that ?

I believe yes. If you want to hide specific category map pages, you can just remove on menu list. if you want to hide some listing posts in a specific category, you can just simply search (filter) and make it “pending”. you can do on back-end. and later you can set it back to “publish”. because map shows only published listings.

We already started building a page for event or hot deals on a page. but it’s with woocommerce. you can add dates and starting / ending days on description. if you want to have a booking you need to purchase a woocommerce booking plugin and vendor plugin.

the ads, we insert information like address, photos, description. I wonder if beyond this information, there is registering the price information option. Yes. Would like to hide all personal info such as full name (users could select a public profile name to be displayed instead), email, physical address, website, and social media links. If possible, user would be able to select a “show/hide” type button next to each field to determine what is shown to the public.

Would like to list individual profiles on the map and in search. And would like to be able to hide entire listing categories from non-members (not logged in).
If we need to make show or hide buttons by users, it may take much time. (due to heavy workload). we were considering make it by admin. it may take a few days or weeks. it depends on coding issues and our other work schedule. (we wish we can make it as soon as possible)
It’s not possible to show authors (who created the listings), it is also need to create a plugin.
Yes you can limit the amount of listings to post by using our payment plugin. you can do.. free and limit 10 listings or $10 for 20 listings / 365 days. just like the price table on this page ( http://javothemes.com/spot/demo1/price-2/ )
It’s little far from what we have. this theme is for listings (companies, shops) if you want to make it, you need to add the profiles like listings. that’s the only way.
I understand your plan briefly. however I can’t really understand the details. I recommend you to have a look at our demos carefully if it’s fit to your project. and let us know if you have more questions.
