For anyone facing problem when integrating firebase authentication please add
“import firebaseClient from ”../../../firebaseClient”; import firebase from “firebase/app”;”
these two lines in the Layout.js file.
It is a very common mistake for full-stack beginners to forget calling firebase in parent components. please don’t blame it on the front-end people.
