Hi there,
I’ve been using WP Nostalgia for some and the moment came when I need to add some shopping options. From what I noticed popular WP e-commerce plugins don’t work with the $40 theme and my question is – does this theme support shopping plugins so that I could use it for a product page?

Yes. XML file with dummy content is included into theme. Please check instructional videos which are available in the documentation. These movies show how to install and setup theme.

Have tried logging a support request through your forum – but its not accepting my purchase code, nor product type – am losing patients a little with this system!
This theme is not compatible with WP 3.6! I get the error ‘blockUI requires jQuery v1.2.3 or later! You are using v1.10.2’ each time I try and do anything!
Can’t find a fix for this anywhere and this site is now VERY important with a client!

Yes, this theme isn’t compatibile with this version of Wordpress. It’s not also marked as compatibile with WordPress 3.6. WP 3.6 has been released yesterday and we need some time to perform all changes.

We have it setup on a new site we’re working on, but are experiencing painfully slow load times.
We’re hosted with Go Daddy, so can’t see any reason why this might be the case?

Hello Dan,
An average loading time of your site is (for me) around 3-4 second. It isn’t the best result, but I think that it is acceptable.
It seems to be loading slower than that for us, and that’s with the background images turned off.
Is there anything you can recommend to speed the load times up?
Also, how do we get rid of the toolbar on the right hand side?

This is a default functionality. If you need to remove background overlay, go to: Appearance / Theme Options / General settings / Background settings and set Background overlay to No overlay

It works fine for me. If you need to remove toolbar, go to Appearance / Theme Options / Plugins settings / Navigation bar and set Enable navigation bar to Disable.

We want the background image, but we want it to stay fixed and not scroll. How is this achieved?
Also, we’re having problems getting the map to work correctly – despite setting the location within the site you mention to get the co-ordinates. Is there another way to achieve this?
You haven’t mentioned how to setup the newsletter? There are no options within the page in the theme other than ‘enable’ or ‘disable’.
Also, you haven’t mentioned how to set the links for the two buttons on the ‘main’ part of the site at the top of the page, currently set to /#?

The page still takes way too long to load. Using the dummy content it can take up to 10 seconds to load on a decent fibre optic connection.

Is there a way to get a more traditional menu? Clients were all turned off by the existing menu. I have to agree it’s too radical for most clients. Unique and different does not always equal “great”. Just some feedback.. Thanks!

Due the nature of this page (it’s a landing page) traditional menu isn’t supported. Menu on the right has been done on requests of the buyers.
