Yes, you can directly work in the CSS and HTML files. There are no editors, just the jade[pug] builder to quickly build the HTML files. It just makes the life of a developer much easier but it’s not at all mandatory to use, you have the css, js and HTML file to work with.

A1. Sure, you can. But we recommend to not change the files under the app-assets/ folder instead write your own css in assets/ folder in style.css file as app-assets/ will get override in next update.

Though if you want to make changes files from app-assets/, take backup and have log which you have changed to merge with next update.

A2. Yes you can in that case we will no be able to provide support for issue you will face for bootstrap components as this is not compatible for alpha 6, but very soon we are upgrading our version to alpha 6.
