Could you please explain the different effects of the following three separate settings? I read all the documents included in the theme zip file but the instructions lacked adequate explanation for user’s understanding.
(1) Layout > General Settings > Default Blog Style > Mansonry with Featured Post Right Side Bar
(2) Homepage Settings > Home Page > Mansonry with Featured Post Right Side Bar
(3) Homepage Settings > Posts Page > Mansonry with Featured Post Right Side Bar

For the first option, All blog pages (including home page, archives pages, categories, tags, search) will have this blog style.
For the second option, Mansonry with Featured Post Right Side Bar page will be assigned as home page.
For the third option, in case of setting another page as home page, the Mansonry with Featured Post Right Side Bar page will be assigned as blog page.

How can I fix this error with this theme? I am using “Mansonry with Featured Post Right Sidebar” format for by blog pages. I don’t know what’s up but instead of showing posts in rows of 2 columns, it shows posts in rows of single columns.
Every time I refresh the page, it shows rows of 2 columns briefly like for 1 second, and all of sudden the blocks move to next rows to form single columns. It is extremely frustrating. I tried all kinds of customizing setting changes to fix it, including increasing site width, but nothing works to fix this error with your theme.
I noticed that compared to your demo site, my blog has narrower width for each column and narrower width for entire website, although I am using the default mode and default site width. Also, even if I increase the site width the problem does not stop. I can never create enough room to fit 2 columns in “Mansonry with Featured Post Right Sidebar” and 3 columns without the sidebar.

I have purchased the Writing theme and are trying to upload it. It worked, but it gave me an error on something called Writing Core (don’t know if it’s crucial?) Here’s the error. What do i do?
Download mislukt. cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds
Plugin not activated. A higher version of Writing Core is needed for this theme. Please update the plugin.
Can you help and let me know what to do? (‘im not a genius on IT )

Hi, is it possible to show the comment count in other posts than the featured one in masonry mode? Basically like the view number

where can I access instructions and instructional videos for your Writing theme that I purchased?
One question I have is, I would like to have “Catergories/Topics” tab on the menu, and when someone clicks on it, display a page with different topics with description, and when people click on each topic, it leads to a separate page with blog posts of the specific category.

The images are cropped differently I don’t know why or what happened.
Also, the ratio of the preview image in the Sidebar is strange as well.

Thank you for your response. I have loved your theme right since the first time I saw it. Such a great clean looking theme!
So, the third problem was solved by changing the feature image resolution. Still I got 3 problems:
- The Facebook (and also Instagram) widget in the Sliding Side bar is not working.
- I want my Menu item hover effect to be just like the DEMO. (No boxed effect but only change the color of text when hovering on).
- I changed my Heading font-size and line-height (H2, H3, H4) in Theme Customize but it seems it just doesn’t work. Maybe there’s some misconfig in the CSS code itself. I;m not sure how, please help me.
And also, I have written some CSS code in the Theme Editor/Writing Child to adjust a little bit. It makes my “unused CSS code” rate increased. I wonder is there any way to fix it? Because my website speed for mobile in the Google Speed Insight tool looks pretty bad. Thanks! (I have sent you the token for temporary login to my website via DM).

One extra question:
How to I insert the Google Tag Manager code (or other tracking codes that matter) into the < body> part of the website without changing the parent theme? (of course I don’t want to lose the tracking codes every time the website gets new update)
I inserted one tracking code into the <head> part with Theme Customize option, but unfortunately it’s in the lower position while GTM recommendations is “as high as possible” in the <head> part. How do I insert the code higher in <head>?

It is about the fonts. This is my blog: https://part-time-geek.com/ . As you can see the font seems to be antialiased. On https://ahmad.works/writing/ this is not the case. How can I make the font look that clear as on your site?
When I check the CSS in the dev tools, I can’t see any difference.
Strange, that happens only on a small screen on one of my notebooks. On an HD-Screen under Linux, there is no difference.

I’ve just updated my Writing Theme and it’s deleted all the changes and modification i made to my site. Looking at the comments I think I needed to use a child theme too, but I’ve never done this before. Can you explain why i need to do.
I’ve now gone back into Jetpack Vaultpress and rolled my site back. I’ve lost 15 hours work I put into the site today and I’m very disappointed, mainly in my self for not checking things out properly. Any help wold be appreciated.

If the changes you made weren’t in the theme files, they shouldn’t disappear. Can you please send me examples of the modifications that you made in a private message via my profile so that I can write you the best course of action or investigate why they were overridden otherwise?

Hello, in Writing theme we installed the plugin Polylang to manage content in double language (ita/en), it is working properly at all, but it’s occurring a problem to change the language of the call to action button. When we tried to translate it in the apposite field the cta button changes in both language. We tried also to change in “Strings translations”, but it seems to not work. Could it depends on the template? Can you suggest to us a procedure to translate the call to action buttons and make them visible properly in both language? Hi, after the latest update it becomes impossible to work with the columns:

I want to create a custom Category page with the blog posts related to the specific category.
I created a new page and set up “Blog Page” template in the Page Attributes https://www.dropbox.com/s/1xg7nlnaxkf8s5g/01%20Blog%20Page.png and in the Writing – Blog Template Options selected specific category https://www.dropbox.com/s/jxgrwjuxpcxtktn/02%20Category.png As a result page shows all the posts from selected category.
