I don’t use the lightbox option on the portfolio thumbnails so I’m currently just using the link. However, I’d rather not have to use the little link icon that shows up. Is it possible to change the thumbnail on the front page and portfolio pages so that they link straight through to the page no matter where you click, rather than making users click on the link icon?

While im using the latest version of WP i have some questions and maybe issues:
1- Slides on other sites? Im missing this point in you documentation (and your documentation is realy good!). So please explain [slider id=”second_slider” category=”alternative_set”].
2- Build slideshow extra controls does not work. If enabled you get an error when clicking in frontend on a slide: “Image cannot be loaded. Make sure the path is correct and image exist.”
3- ShortCodes in ShortCodes – i would love to place shortcodes into shortcodes – in example buttons into a messagebox. Actually not possible – is there maybe a trick?

Hi – just wrote you a pm. Please take also a look to another issue: On the startpage all portfolio-videos will be opened correctly when clicking on the “film icon”. But when i visit the portfoliosite and click on the same video (filmicon) an error-popup appears. When i open the link of the portfolio-video to open the video´s single page- the video will be shown correctly. Try it here: http://df-vfx.de/portfolio/ Maybe a lightbox problem?

I just paid $29.50 for 3 months support extension on the Pulse theme, Pirenko. I have no idea how to fix the situation on the mercina theme and I am using the W3 cache plugin you asked me to use on the spicycricket.com site.
Every time I have an issue with a theme of your on my websites you tell me it is not theme’s problem even though the errors are exclusively calling out your theme. Basically, you are saying no plugins can ever be used with your theme. I have had problems with mercina and pulse on almost a monthly basis now. I have tried to work with you to fix things and you send me angry emails asking me to pay you more money. You are basically holding me hostage to pay support, just so I can get into my admin panel. Not professional at all. I paying ANOTHER $13.20 on top of the $29.50 I just paid you, now.
This is highway robbery to hold my website hostage for payments to fix your theme errors.
There’s no such bug with the theme and it is not my fault if one of your plugins is generating that error. Try activating one of the default WordPress themes to see if the error gets fixed. Thanks!
Forgot to say about Pulse: it was a caching plugin that was breaking the whole website and it is the latest version of Revolution Slider (not the theme!) that is causing trouble with multiple themes (not just our themes). Thanks!

It is not us who decided to add this support extension feature… You have 6 months of support included and then if you need more you have to pay.
About your current situation: you can send us a private message with the FTP (not WordPress) login details and we’ll activate one of the default WordPress themes. This is the only solution at this point for you. This is clearly out of what is defined as support here (because the fatal error is not part of the theme), but still we can take care of this for you.

You have my ftp information as we have conversed regularly with all of the issues on your themes. I have sent that information again. I managed to turn off all plugin on the phpAdmin and the theme is still giving errors.

Please update the theme to the latest version. If you look at the changelog here http://themeforest.net/item/mercina-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/2056656 you will see that those errors were cleared on version 4.4 of Mercina (and the errors appeared only on WordPress 4.3).

We erased the theme folder from your server. When you remove a theme WordPress activates one of the default WordPress themes. If you still can’t access your admin area the problem is not related with our theme.

The Mercina theme is there on my ftp… no theme is erased. This has to be the worst customer support ever. Why would you try to delete my mercina files I spent months building??? Everyone listen up. Pirenko themes break word press!!!

From the FTP info the theme was uploaded 2 mins ago so it must have been you or someone else that re-uploaded the theme. Try erasing the theme folder yourself, because it seems that someone is playing with me/us.
Also, if you think the theme is broken please contact Envato Help Center. They will check user comments and run some tests to see if it is broken.
Pirenko, do you have any experience using Hootsuite and the WP plugin when using the Mercina theme, or any others that use the same structure?
While I understand that the plug is not in your control understand no one better understands the Mercina template!
When posting from within the HS app, noticed posts are placed on the Portfolio vs Blog area on my site (http://chefernest.com). Also, when posting from within WP, no posts are listed on the HS panel.
Can I swap the page names to redirect for this issue, or can you suggest a work-around?

Thank you for purchasing! That has to do with the way that the theme handles posts… In this case posts are used to show what the theme calls portfolio entries and probably that plugin only works with posts.

Hi Pirenko, Nice theme. Having a good time with it so far, however there is one problem I seem unable to fix. I tried optimizing both pages and posts for sharing on social networks. (so it looks nice when you just share the url) But so far, with all plugins I try, networks like Facebook will not give me the options to display the images I want when I share a post or page. Meta info is also not being picked well by social networks. Even though I use Yoast for SEO. Any idea how I can fix this? my site is BlueRoseSaxophones.com

It does not with me. Take for example the homepage. If I share this on Facebook (copy the url in a timeline) it only shows: 1: the name of the page (not what I input in Yoast SEO for the page) 2: a description (Not what I put in Yoast description for the page) and for pictures it only gives the featured image as an option (but in your theme that is the background of the page so not suited) and all other pictures from the page are not given as an option…. Hope you can help

As far as we know Facebook does not search for the information that you place on Yoast. Yoast is for SEO and Facebook searches for specific tags and if it does not find them it shows alternative information (ex: the page title).
If the problem is only on the homepage we can try an help you with it, but if it is on multiple page types then you’ll have to edit the theme code manually.

Hi Pirenko love the theme and the site looks great. Have a problem with a plugin conflicting with it though. This is a premium plugin from Themeforest called EventOn they gave me a lot of help and we have now discovered the issue is incompatibility with your theme.
The site is johnhallam.co.uk and on the diary page on first load something is not working as events are supposed to expand when clicked, if you click on the next month that works and then if you click back to first month that then also works. The only error message I got when testing with Firebug (and I’m no expert so it means nothing to me) was on the network test I got this message “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘offsetWidth’ of null main.js.46” which clears on return visit. I don’t use a lot of the features of your template and was wondering if there is something I can disable that is causing this error/conflict.

I’m having two issues with the Mercina theme.
One thing regards the headings font. If I choose one of the fonts down in the list (Bebas Neue, League Gothic, Novecento, OSP Din or TeX Gyre Heros), it is not displayed on the homepage at first. Instead a font that looks like Times New Roman or something. It doesn’t change if I hit refresh but if I click on ‘Home’ in the menu, the right font is displayed.
This is not a big issue for me as I will probably use a different font anyway, but I wanted you to know.
The other thing regards the page title, as shown on the browser’s title bar or on the tab. On the homepage it should read ‘Home – Website title’. Instead it just reads ’- Website title’. It works on other pages, like for example ‘Contact – Website title’.
Can you help me with that?

I bought the theme. But it is very hard to use. For example, Can not edit the home page or the head images must be entered manually . The click – portfolio images are not responsive etc.etc I ‘m not thrilled. I used another .

About your comments: the homepage can be managed under Mercina Options>Homepage tab. The homepage slide images are managed under the slides button and you don’t need to put the links manually. What you need to do is use the WordPress Featured Image option.
About the click/portfolio images thing: I’m not aware of any bug so maybe you can explain this with more detail.
