Hello, I would like to be able to import facebook events directly into the lsvr events. Any ideas as to how i’d go about that? I use the Facebook Events Importer plugin and would really like to link those directly to the lsvr events… Really like the Theme by the way and enjoy developing our town’s website with it!

On the global “news” page everything is classified by the latest articles but it is also possible to separate by categories ?
You mean that you will first see all posts from category A, then all posts from category B etc? That’s more like general WordPress question, this theme don’t have such feature for sure. There may be a 3rd party plugin for that.
And another question for example in your demo I would “news” in Community menu and in Government menu ! how to do?

I am wondering if it is possible to create a slider that goes across the entire header on the homepage? The way the template seems to be set up at the moment, the slider only seems to be present in 1/3 of the homepage under the main content.

Hi,
you will have to enable Header Menu (in Theme Options / Header Settings), disable Side Menu (Theme Options / Sidebar Settings) and disable both left and right sidebars for that particular page.
You can even enable header menu and disable side menu just for that one particular page under its Page Settings.

Nope, sorry: I’ve checked again and find a bug, I meant. 1. So, I deleted all files from FTP. 2. Then I started to install theme again, with all necesarry plugins. On Townpress theme Visual Composer got cuted options (without Post Grid e.g., that one I was looking for – screen: http://screencast.com/t/EBwErirx). 3. After adding everything I changed theme (free JustWrite, but it doesn’t matter). 4. Voila! Post Grid is now available (as same as Frontend Editor, screen: http://screencast.com/t/aBm8OZOLD4LH).
To sum up: bug cutting this options off has to be on theme files. Would U like me then to help, please?
Oh, I get it now. The Post Grid is one of default VC elements, right? In that case, please read this.

that’s a default Visual Composer template. Not really understand what you want to achieve so it is hard to give you any hint, but I have no problem with creating new rows. Just click on plus icon on the bottom and add as many Row elements as you want. Please check out their documentation.

this can happen sometimes on some hosts. You will have to access your installation via FTP and manually remove “js_composer” folder in “wp-content/plugins/”. Then you should be able to install latest version of VC.

I guess the support guy was just lazy to deal with it. This theme has 300+ purchases, this comments section will be flooded with comments if those icons haven’t worked for all those people.
When I am checking your site on Mac, icons load fine in Chrome and Safari, but not in Firefox. This is actually a known issue on some hostings, just check out this link.
Basically, you should do this. Locate the .htaccess file in the root of your WordPress installation (via some FTP application, for example FileZilla). Make a backup of this file, then open the original and add this code at the end:

If you have trouble following this tutorial you should reach out again to your hosting provider.

I updated to the latest version of the theme but VisualComposer did not automatically update as well. When I tried to update VisualComposer seperately in the plugins it said that I needed to activate the license.
Can you provide the necessary credentials in order to active the license?
Or did I do something wrong when updating the theme? I just followed the instructions of deleting the current parent theme, downloading the latest version and installing it.

try to also deactivate and delete Visual Composer plugin. After that, you should be prompted to install the latest version bundled with the theme (4.7).

Loving this theme – looks super sharp, setup was easy, docs are great. One question: is there any way (easy or otherwise) to share categories across events, posts and documents? Our categories are numerous enough (around 30, and they are going to be used to be generating almost separate sub-sites) that it’d be nice to be working from one structure rather than three. Thanks!

Where do I get the license key for your Visual Composer plugin so I can update it? I can only get the license key of the theme itself but the update is not accepting that license key.

license key for VC is not included (that’s the same for all themes on ThemeForest) and you don’t need it to use this plugin. If you want to update by yourself, you have to purchase your own license. I am trying to keeping VC up to date with theme updates.

virtual composer update – I just installed the latest update to the theme which was suppose to update VC but it is saying I still need to update from 4.6 to 4.7.

weird, I’ve just checked the theme and it does contain version 4.7. Try to deactivate and remove Visual Composer. Then download full package from ThemeForest, unzip it and open Plugins folder where you can find js_composer.zip file. Install it manually via Plugins / Add New / Upload Plugin.
