I have imported the dummy data. I want to add the ‘Lead Page’ now, but I cannot find the html code in the short-codes folder.

In general to create lead page you don’t need shortcodes. Please add new page (Pages -> Add new) and choose the template “Lead Page”. Then please activate the plugin Newsletter and then in “Appearance -> Widgets” please move the Newsletter widget to the “Lead Page Widget Area”. You can also add featured image (it will be used as the background of the lead page).

Does your theme offer a drag & drop theme builder, similar to Visual Composer?

Currently we do not include Visual Composer with the theme (we are planning to add this plugin in the near future), but shortcodes that we created are very easy to use and in the download package you can find many examples of shortocodes usage (for example direct pages from our demo), so that you can run the website very fast and easy (just replace the content inside the shortcodes). Our support team can help you with that. If you already have a licence for Visual Composer then you can use it with the theme and use the native Visual Composer elements.

Hello, still loving your theme thank you.
do you have any plans to improve the 4 column masonry portfolio? As the page loads all the items display in a single column for a while before moving into 4. If they loaded in columns of 4 straight away, it would look better / feel less glitchy.

Hi is there a way to change the background color of the landing page? So not just the patterns but I want the background to be completely white. And how can I create my own contact form similar to the one in the heading, or like the one of the selling page. thx

In order not to use pattern you can change the pattern to for example “99” or remove it in the slider settings.
To change the background you can add this little code in Customize -> General -> Custom CSS:
.slider11-container { background: #fff; }To create the form on the selling page we used Contact Form 7 plugin. Please have a look here for the details: http://contactform7.com/getting-started-with-contact-form-7/ . To create slider in the form you need to add new slider using MultiPurpose Sliders plugin.

ok got it.
I have no idea why, but when i update my slider’s “landing slider” email settings, delay time, Change slide on click settings etc, it doesnt update. i’ve checked my database, it’s not updated. there’s no update entry.
can i ask, which tables are supposed to be updated? maybe i have some plugins clashes. pls just tell me roughly which line i need to be looking at on which file for the database update to happen and i’ll check again on this. pls inform of which tables are supposed to be updated on the “landing slider’s” settings.

In general as a quickfix in this case we recommend you to change the parameters directly in converio/js/scripts.js
for example from:

The problem is i cant change the email received settings on the form as well! this is my biggest problem. I’ve tried to modify it inside the database but then the slider wont show anything at all, (the email field will be empty) you can try this for yourself, export the database, change info@thememotives.com and then restore the database, the email field will disappear. i can’t update anything then. sorry i’m using this comment section as I prefer not to be spammed by email.

I want to conclude the different portfolios with filter on different pages. For example, for different cities to output a different portfolio.
Page with companies of the City of London (cafes, cinema and shops that are located in London) Another page with the City of Moscow (cinema, restaurants are there in Moscow)

In the current version of the theme it’s possible to create portfolio with filters, so that you can create one portfolio and filters like London Cafes, London Restaurants, Moscow Cinemas, etc. This kind of portfolio is suitable rather for small and medium number of entries (like we used on our demo). If you need to build very big database with lot of categories and subcategories then you may need custom modification or for example use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/types/ to create custom post type with custom taxonomy.

After importing dummy data, I can see the pages in the background and the menu covers it with a transparent color on all the page, even if I scroll down. Seems like menu won’t collapse, I changed the max-high of nav, then the transparent color adjust to max-high but the menu remained all over the page. The theme is installed locally.

It sounds like you just need to assign the menu. Please just assign the menu in Appearance -> Customize -> Navigation and save the changes. Then it should work fine.

I have two button links on the top bar. When viewed on a mobile device the top bar shows a menu icon you must press to see the button links. There is plenty of room on the mobile to display the two button links. How do I disable the icon the links can be seen without pressing the menu icon on the top bar?
