I received an error when trying to Import the demo xml file through the WordPress Importer. See here: http://prntscr.com/8hr7bz. I also got an internal server error during this process. I checked with my host, and there’s no issue on the web host side. I followed the theme documentation to complete the install. Has anyone seen this issue?

Many issues that you may run into such as; white screen, demo content fails when importing, empty page and other similar issues are all related to low PHP configuration limits. You can check it by installing a simple plugin found here.
The solution is to increase the PHP limits.
You can do this on your own .
Find the php.ini file in your Server config files. For WAMP, its in apache2/bin/apache2.2.22/bin/php.ini
Go to the line “max_execution_time=30” .
Change it to 360 or any other large value.
Or contact your web host and ask them to increase those limits to a minimum as followsmax_execution_time 360
memory_limit 128M
post_max_size 32M
upload_max_filesize 32M

Thanks for the plugin link. So my host created a php5.ini file in the webroot with the configurations you suggested: http://prntscr.com/8hsmz8. I then installed the php info plugin and here’s what I see: http://prntscr.com/8hsp0d, http://prntscr.com/8hspzb. Doesn’t look like there were any updates for ‘max_excution_time’ Should there be any modifications done in the wp-config? I tried uploading the xml file again just to test, but I’m still getting the same error.

if you look at the difference between your screenshot on an ipad (looks great) and iphone , all white and text, very boring. Can you change the iphone look to the ipad look?

Yes it is possible but These are two different pages , that have a different header and have two different tasks .

I have only grid options :/ when i go to blog page i got this message ” Use this static Page to test the Theme’s handling of the Blog Posts Index page. If the site is set to display a static Page on the Front Page, and this Page is set to display the Blog Posts Index, then this text should not appear.”
