Hi, I have increased by site logo size. Please can you advise how the height of the header bar and it’s padding can be reduced and the search bar retained in the middle.

Pay attention to #site-description css-rule. Padding-top and padding-bottom can be changed to reduce the header height. And the search bar vertical alignment can be set via editing .search-header rule – margin-top, that’s the property to change.
Using phpbb 3.1 version, added sidebar and looks fine in Chrome but in IE 11 it doesn’t fill the full width. Any idea? Site: http://www.motforum.com/test/index.php
Fixed, changed the line “width: calc (100% – 300px);” to “width: calc(100% – 300px);” in quarto.css

Good. the 3.1 update has solved the display problems (texts, icons, twig’s error).
But I’ve noticed new “problems”. It comes from jQuery this time.
For those who edit their templates, trying to implement jQuery UI, or those who just want to change jQuery source (version, hosting, etc…) : It can be necessary to delete the line ” <script type=”text/javascript” src=”{T_JQUERY_LINK}”></script>” in “overall_fotter.html” file. Else, it can create some conflicts with your code…
E.G. : I got this error after update : ”$(...).switchClass() is not a function”. It was not the only one.
When i delete the line above, all my code works fine again

The code you mention is part of the default phpBB template. So if you delete it you may meet some unexpected issues with forum operability. So be careful!
Hi, Yes, be careful ! The only advice i am giving here is to try to replace this native phpbb jQuery inclusion by a self jQuery inclusion if you have a problem with jQuery ou jQuery UI.

You didn’t meet the issue because this part of the code only appeared in phpBB 3.1. phpBB 3.0 didn’t have any jquery integrated.

Hi, I just uploaded the Asphalt theme to styles folder and it is not showing up in the style management. I tried changing the permissions of the files but no luck. also tried purging the cache.
any idea ? thanks!

The theme only supports phpBB 3.0 at the moment. But next week we’re releasing an updated version fully compatible with phpBB 3.1!
For those who have uploaded their forum to 3.1.x, you will have probleme with 3.0 theme like Quarto. Here is a little fix that work on my forum:
Step 0 : Hi, this is just a trick to get your forum work. It’s not an official advice support. It’s working on my phpbb forum 3.1.4 (http://edunem.com/forum/). Save your work before editing.
Step 1 : Take this css (http://edunem.com/forum/styles/quarto_cherry/imageset/imageset.css)
Set 2 : Upload imageset.css to {your_forum}/styles/{your_style}/imageset/imageset.css
Step 3 : Open {your_forum}/styles/{your_style}/theme/stylesheet.css and add ”@import url(”../imageset/imageset.css”);”
Note that imageset.css maybe need to be updated to match with your image set. In my example, i am just fixing topic_read, topic_unread, forum_read and forum_unread images.
Step 4 : Open forumlist_body.html, search ”<dl style=”background-image: url({forumrow.FORUM_FOLDER_IMG_SRC}); background-repeat: no-repeat;”>” Edit file to get : ”<dl> <dd> {forumrow.FORUM_FOLDER_IMG} </dd> <dt title=”{forumrow.FORUM_FOLDER_IMG_ALT}” >”
Do the same with “view_forum_body.html”
Step 5 : Refresh from admin panel or free forum cache.

You need to change the colors manually inside the colours.css template of your color theme. For a quick replace you may want to use a mass replacement. And don’t forget to clear the cache after editing to see your new colors.

As for the sidebar. You already installed the sidebar in the main template. So you need to apply the same changes to the following templates – viewforum_body.html and viewtopic_body.html.

As for the link error, I would advise you to double check the link you add to the tab. If you get an error it means you add a wrong link. Just follow Step 3 (How do I add or edit a navigation link) in the documentation carefully and it will work.
