Yes, it’s a known issue on WP 4.4, we’ll relase an update for it soon. To fix it, you need to replace below line in blog.php file:

Visual Composer plugin is included. If you would like to user Ubermenu you’ll need to purchase is separately. Unfortunately Ubermenu plugin author doesn’t allow to include it in themes. The shop plugin WooCommerce is available for free here: http://www.woothemes.com/woocommerce/

In the WP version this layout isn’t available. There will be a custom code modification required to apply it.
Any chance to make the screenview even wider? fluid? 1500px wide?
It’s possible but required custom code modifications for layout column and components width.

To do that, you need set in ‘Post’ component the ‘Show author box in post content’ option to ‘No’, then your post text will be expanded to full column widht. Anyway placing author informations under share icons will require some custom code. Please contact me after purchase and I’ll provide you modified file.

A suggestion: the author profiles would be greatly enhanced if their social media connections (such as Twitter and Facebook) were displayed.

Thank you! Main difference is in general that news themes has more post layouts and more blog layouts than standard themes, otherwise they’re pretty similar.
