You can use “Insert Read More tag” feature of Text Area. Hover the icons and you will see it’s label. It will cut the text from the location you have added. And the text above it will be your summary

Hi, this theme is not translation ready ? Can I put the social widget up to the page ? I suppose yes. Can i use the banner of pictures completly down to refer to some articles instead of Instagram ? Many thanks

Thanks for your interest on SoftWind Yes, you can translate SoftWind. If you want to move the social icons above the about me area in sidebar, you can do that as well. Instagram down below is a widget area. We don’t have a post widget by default. But you can search for post widgets to show your posts down below instead of instagram

Can I have a part with text/images which are completly full-width, and not only a list of the articles like this blog ? : http://oiseaurose.com/ Can I have the sidebar at the beginning of the home page and then, at the end, be full-width without the sidebar ? What fonts can I use ? Can I change the background ? Can I change the color of the menu and frame ? Can I post videos ? Can I add easily a gallery ? For all these things is it difficult to do it ? Cause I am new in that, it is my first blog… Are these plug-in included in this theme : Gravity Forms, Yoast SEO, W3 Total Cache ? Is the dummy content included ? Thanks a lot for your fast answer !

1 – You can do that with some CSS.
2 – To do that, you should use images with shorter height. If you use shorter images height will be shorter.
3 – I’m not able to review this URL. Are you sure it’s working?
4 – Sidebar’s position can not be moved. However, you can enable disable sidebar on page basis.
5 – Changing font will require some custom work. We don’t have font library system for SoftWind.
6 – Background can be changed.
7 – You can do that with CSS.
8 – We have a video post here ;

10 – You can use our theme as it is. But if you want changes above, you are going to need some knowledge. But to use the SoftWind as it is, you don’t need any code.
11 – We don’t use Gravity. We have Rock Form Builder included. YOAST is a free plugin. You can use it as well. W3 Total Cache is a caching plugin. You can use it too. But you should know how to use that plugin because it has some advanced settings.
12 – Yes, demo xml is included.

I can’t use at all Google fonts for example ? “you can enable disable sidebar on page basis.” : it means I can that just the sidebar can be not visible down but the main part can’t be full-width, right ? I’m still not able to view that URL. About fonts, you should disable our fonts by altering the related area in functions. Then you can use a free WordPress plugin to load fonts. But it will also require CSS changes. SoftWind does not support multiple fonts. It’s design matched with it’s fonts.
When you disable sidebar on a page, page will be using the entire grid width

My client has another small problem, and as his wish is my command i have to fix it 
I have installed Woocommerce, everything is working fine with your theme. Only one place where i cant get a working Featured image in header, which is on the shop page. It is working on all other woocommerce pages such as cart etc. except the shop page. Is there any solution for this?

Thanks for buying SoftWind Theme SoftWind is a blog theme. And it doesn’t support WooCommerce. So it’s very normal you to not being able to show featured image on WooCommerce pages
However, if you want one image to be displayed on all WooCommerce shop, archive pages some CSS can work out. If you can email me, I can guide you for that

Hey, i have a little problem with the template. It works perfect except, the mobile website i cant find the Menu. Somehow it disappeared in thin air haha. Any idea?
Oh this happens only with the child theme.. so i probabely forgot something to do.

Hi. A few questions.
1. How to edit the home page of the theme? I can’t find the index page to edit.
2. Is there a way so that when I categorize my posts, the pages can automatically update the latest post into its page? For example like the Travel page in the theme or http://ryanzlee.com/category/fly/? Also, I deleted the Travel and Lifestyle page. Is there anyway to get it back without uploading the entire demo since I already have some content on my site?
3. How do I edit the copyright section at the bottom?
4. I understand with each posts there are social media buttons to share. How can I remove / add which social media platforms I want to use?

Thanks for buying SoftWind Theme I see there are some questions here. Let’s get to them one by one ;
1 – There is a default page named as “index.php”. It should be in the root directory of the theme. Like “softwind/index.php”. If you don’t use any page template, this template should be your design layout.
But in our home page, we our our page templates. In our demo home we are using “Page With Slider Mixed”. It’s also in the root directory named as “page-with-slider-mixed.php”.
2 – I guess you’ve already figured that out
3 – Copyright details are in the “footer.php” file. You can either edit this file or use the filter there as you like
4 – We have added all 4 big social sites to share your blog posts. It’s a function in our “functions.php” file named as “softwind_entry_footer_share”. If you want o remove any of them, you can simply delete it from the list ther
5 – While you are editing your post, you can add read more tag. When you add read more that, your text will be shown till there on blog roll. Which means, on single you will see full text on blog you will see the text before read more tag. To add read more tag, when you are editing your text, click on the icon that says “Insert Read More tag”

Hi, some more questions:
1. Whenever I post a link onto Facebook, it doesn’t detect any thumbnail /image to use. How can I make my posts so that whenever I put the post link on FB, the first image (the featured image) appears?
2. Whenever I try to do multiple line breaks, the next paragraph always starts immediately in the next line. For example,
Line 1
Line 2
will always appear as,
Line 1 Line 2
How can I fix this?

Let’s get to the quesitons right away
1 – Can you try the same thing on our demo as well? Because when I try to use a share link in our demo, it uses the featured image. Also, if I use our home URL, or a post URL into Facebook, it works as well. Do you have images in your posts?
2 – I’m not sure about this questions. But it seems like Envato comment system is breaking your layout as well. Just to make sure, are you using “Visual” mode in WordPress’s text editor or “Text” mode? If you are using “Text” mode, try to enable “Visual” mode.

1. The line break still occurs. For instance, what I want would be: Line 1 (blank line) Line 2
But what happens is: Line 1 Line 2
Do you know why the (blank line) disappears every time I save draft or publish the post?
2. If I were to put my blog post’s link on Facebook, the “Facebook thumbnail” caption will always appear as (Category Name)(Blog Post Name)(Author)(Author’s Name) and then the content from the post. How do I remove everything so that the only thing extracted for the FB caption is the content from the post?
