Hello, I am building a city guide, I need the functionality of a user seeking a place either through categories, or through areas in the city. As it is now, they can only search in categories, but in addition to answering the question: “show me all the bars in the city”, I need to answer the question “show me all places in THAT specific neighborhood”. What I ask, is, can I have links to the maps, with coordinates as parameters? For example, a link that reads mydomain.com/places shows the map with coordinates as specified in the template customization. Can I have a link like mydomain.com/places?lat=xxx&long=xxx that would show a different area on the map? In that case what is the syntax? I don’t want to setup subdomains with separate installations of wordpress as that would miss the point.

For example, i would like the login page to be my welcome page; is it possible? And, can we add some more icons and categories to the places; or can we change the names of some categories?
