You can choose needed page color scheme while editing the project in the Layout tab in Theme Options. To edit the Background Color please proceed to Theme Settings – Colors – needed tab and set the Main Background Color.

Concerning the images – you can choose needed image size when you insert the image from media library.

Interior Design includes a custom Cmsmasters Composer plugin, that works as a visual builder for your website. We don’t provide Visual Composer Page Builder by wpbakery with the theme package, as we use our own composer with a huge custom shortcode collection. We’ve recorded some videos to demonstrate how it works, they can be found under Features menu item. Videos are taken for another theme from our portfolio, but general idea is exactly the same.

The problem with settings import is caused by server restrictions – usually settings-import.php file (located at the wp-content/themes/interior-design/framework/admin/settings/inc folder) is blocked and only hosting provider can remove restrictions. But most likely even though the error is shown, all the colors and theme settings correspond with the ones from our demo. If it’s so, we’d advise you to proceed with site elaboration.

Layer slider can be used without authorization key (which we can’t distribute), as it isn’t required for slider functioning, but it allows to get plugin updates via dashboard. In fact adding sub-categories is possible, but the structure and hierarchy isn’t discernible on the front-end. Though it won’t prevent you from creating several separate portfolios. For each of them you’ll be able to select certain categories to be displayed. It can be conveniently done in portfolio shortcode settings. So the required results should be achieved with the available options.

There’s a possibility to select only one category in portfolio shortcode, then you’ll be able to sort your projects (of this only category) as you wish, using parameters you mentioned (date, name, ID, etc.). Moreover, you can assign project order number to each projectas shown on this screencast. Most likely, the second variant is closer to what you’d like to achieve.

As to your questions – to disable overlay please proceed to Theme Settings – Elements – Custom Codes – Custom CSS and use the following code:

Sure, regular menu displaying can be seen on our Home Journal page. It can be achieved just by selecting a default header style in theme settings.

As to a child theme – it’s not included, its creation on the basis of Interior Design should be the same as for any other WordPress theme.
