Hey danielwertheim,

Thanks for your purchase of Cedar.

This is possible with some minor code edits, which we’re happy to assist with (please create a new ticket on our support site). Alternatively you can set the comments to autoload via the theme options.

Cedar has been updated to version 1.1.2, below is the change-log for this update.

10/01/2016 - v1.1.2
+ Updated FontAwesome (v4.5.0)
+ Updated Documentation
- Minor Bug Fixes

Hi! Second Ghost theme I’ve bought from you and both have been good so far!

There are a couple issues that I’ve noticed with Cedar though.

First is – the “Posted on {{date}}” footer in the footer_post.hbs file always displays today’s date for some reason. E.g. I have an article that was posted 3 years ago and the footer shows “Posted on January 4th, 2016”. It’s not doing it in your preview so I’m not sure why it’s happening to me.

Second is not really an issue but if the user doesn’t have a picture associated the theme is displaying a missing image box (in the article footer and on author page). Would be nice if it would at least use the default avatar that can be seen on the /ghost/team/ page.

Thanks!

Ok, I did some investigation and realised that you are calling {{date}} while being inside the {{#author}} object. Ghost’s documentation says that it will default to current date if you’re not inside the post date: https://themes.ghost.org/docs/date#section-description

It works if I move the post date out of the author object.

Before:
{{#author}}
<section class="authorinfo">
    <a href="{{url}}" class="authorname"><img src="{{image}}" class="gravatar" alt="{{name}}" /> {{name}}</a>
    <span class="authordate">Posted on {{date published_at format="MMMM Do, YYYY"}}</span>
</section>
{{/author}}
After:
<section class="authorinfo">
    {{#author}}
    <a href="{{url}}" class="authorname"><img src="{{image}}" class="gravatar" alt="{{name}}" /> {{name}}</a>
    {{/author}}
    <span class="authordate">Posted on {{date format="MMMM Do, YYYY"}}</span>
</section>

Hey MrMorpheus,

Thanks for your comments and purchase of Cedar.

We’re aware of the first issue, and this will be corrected in the next theme update. You’re proposed solution is what we suggest using to manually fix this. If you require any assistance let us know. Thanks for letting us know of the second issue, we’ve made note of this and will also get this corrected in the next theme update.

If you have any further questions submit a new ticket on our support site and we will be happy to assist.

tem como fazer funcionar sem Node.js ?

Hey mhmolina,

Thanks for your purchase of Cedar.

This theme is for the Ghost blogging platform, which requires NodeJS. We also have a WordPress version of Cedar, which is available here.

If you have any further questions, please open a new ticket on our support site and we will be happy to assist.

Hey EckoThemes! Looks like a great theme that I’m about to buy, but wanted to know if there is the ability to customize color of category tags, look forward to your reply.

Thank you.

Hey nlinton,

Thanks for your comments.

Yep, you can assign your own colors for each of your blogs categories.

Awesome response time, just purchased!

Thanks for your purchase.

The category colors mentioned above will require some custom CSS code which we will happily provide and assist with via our support site.

I own your Ghost themes, Astro, Ivy, and I’m about to buy Cedar. Just had a suggestion for Cedar. On a mobile device, the two logos on the homepage seem to collide. You can see what I’m talking about here. Thanks.

Hey simplifiedfun,

Thanks for your purchase of Cedar.

If you submit a new ticket on our support site we can provide some custom CSS to hide the header logo on smaller viewports.

Great theme, GLWS :-)
